Sam Egwu of those days is now a glorified errand boy of Dave Umahi, Chimaroke Nnamani that installed Sullivan Chime in 2007 could not even win his LGA in 2011 and 2015 Senatorial election that he congested, Sullivan Chime that left power barely 18 months ago could not win his Polling Boot in Enugu LGA Poll. See how Ganduje has made Kwankwaso irrelevant in Kano APC.

The truth is that a new breed of politicians will vie in 2023, starting from Obaseki (if he is interested) or even Rochas but NOT Amaechi that left power 8 years ago (in 2023).

I have observed in recent time how prominent people of Ibo extraction have been harping on 2023 as their year. I am not a politician but mark this page. The earliest time an Ibo man would be president is in 16 years time. I mean 16 years from 2019.
The politics that will play out in 2023 is that the North and West will spur up the Niger Deltan politicians to contest in order to complete the tenure of Jonathan. Amaechi is on the line for this. Umahi is very ambitious, and though he successfully quelled ipob in ebonyi and south east in general, i know him to be a very ambitious man. Right now he is working marvelously in Abakaliki as the capital is now emerging into a city from it's former township status. Abakaliki is on the rise.

However, two ambitions explain umahi's deep support for buhari.
1: that the FG approves his loan to borrow and fund the construction of ebonyi mall dubbed after dubai mall in UAE, more approval of borrowed fund to construct an underground bye -pass in the state capital.
2: he's lobbying with buhari to decamp to APC by next year and contest for second term under APC, i have this judgement because umahi enjoys support from above powers in order to win elections just like he did under elechi and goodluck.
3: position himself for 2023 to be the first igbo presidente, having to ride under pmb popularity in the north, since pmb is comfortable making ebonyi first south east state he's visiting.
These three are his intentions. He is that crafty.
