A dedicated and patriotic civil servant in Lagos needs to be commended. I want you to help celebrate this woman of integrity that works with one of the government owned secondary schools in Oshodi, Lagos State. This teacher was paid her November salary seven times (septuple) and she has gone to report so that the money can be refunded to the government's coffer. This singular act needs to be commended for her integrity. Please let's share until it get to the appropriate authority. |

The ranting lady in the video is a goat. And she claimed to be an entertainer, a dancer. She didn't bother to find out from the organizers what their agreement with Olamide was. The fact that he did 1hour at Show A doesn't mean he will do the same 1hour at Show B.... Total height of stupidity displayed there by the lady and greater heights by u all commenting nonsense..... You only heard from one side.... Even the organizers haven't spoken and u re condemning the guy. You need to know how entertainment works. |
It might not be vitiligo, I remember one of my folks reacted to a particular drug he used, since then his lower lip turned pink unevenly. |

Top 3 Qualities of a Great MC/Event Compere When you are organising an event, choosing the right Emcee (or Master of Ceremonies) can mean the difference between a successful event and an unfortunate party. An experienced and professional MC has certain qualities that can be used to make certain your event is one to remember. Here are our top 3 Qualities of a great MC. From our experience a GREAT MC: 1. Is PREPARED. It sounds obvious doesn’t it? A great MC will have laid the ground work and asked plenty of questions to familiarise themselves with the event, guests, content and goals of the host. This preparation means that they can be armed and ready with relevant information, stories and must-know information. The savvy MC will always prepare and have copies of the runsheet to ensure that the event runs on time and schedule. When things happen on the spot, as they do – the MC can keep the flow of communication going and can work with no script because they are prepared. 2. Has STORIES and Will TELL them. A great MC has a history and stories to tell that can be tailored to the audience. The Emcee connects the dots between the audience and the Hosts’ key message. Aside from the normal housekeeping duties and directives given to the audience – the Emcee can create an ambience or hype that keeps your guests engaged. There is no point in hiring an MC that only knows how to enunciate clearly. While clear and correct pronunciation, particularly of people’s names is important – a fantastic MC knows how to connect with the audience and engage them in the proceedings. After all, you want your guests to feel like they are a part of the event – not being talked at. It may be particularly important for you to get the audience’s ‘buy-in’ for topics that are important to your organisations goals. The right MC gets this done. The wrong MC gets yawns and the fish-eye stare. The Best Emcee’s will capture the attention of the audience, will think on their feet and will have enough confidence to ‘roll with it’ when things fall off their hinges. (It happens!) They will have the skills to create the desired mood and can spark the imagination and interest of the audience at will. 3. Loves To Communicate Well. Again, it sounds a little obvious but the greatest MC’s can make a person in the back of the room feel just as involved and connected as the man sitting at the front. You want your guests to feel important and special. Don’t leave this task to a mediocre MC. The success of your event lays with the enjoyment and satisfaction of your Guests – if they feel disconnected from you and the message – they are going to think it was the worst event they have ever been to. Thus, a great MC can inspire, engage and motivate with the rapport that has been built. Although the role of the MC is to facilitate the running of the event on a time based schedule – the greatest MC’s are committed to the enjoyment of the participants as it is occurring. They will adapt, think on their feet and will be aware of the ‘mood’ of the audience at any given time. This enables them to raise or drop the tempo of events as is necessary. They will manage the constant feedback given by the audience and will strive to ensure that events run as smoothly as possible. Communication is always a two-way street, so your MC should be as skilled in Listening as speaking. Your thoughts, tastes, ideas and goals should always be uppermost in mind. If you don’t like swearing or a certain colour – make sure you speak up because your professional MC will always be taking notes and looking for ways to exceed your expectations. Hi everyone, Knowlegde they say is light, I created this topic in order to help people suffering from Cancer, diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, infertility, low sperm count, skin diseases and every other serious ailments. Talking from experience, I have had a serious back pain for more than 3years now. Doctors couldn't diagnose anything. I was introduced to an American product called Vemma Mangosteen and Verve Health drinks. Lo and behold, the pain disappeared after about 1 week of taking the product and still taking it cos I love it so much. Infact its rated the world's number 1 anti-oxidant. I also felt healthy generally. And I have introduced the health drink to family and friends who also gave their own testimonies. I thought it would be nice to share it here. It basically works for everything and anybody can use it, old or young except pregnant women in their formative stage. You can contact me if interested, so I can order for you through my channel with the company. U can mail me babajidewitty@gmail.com

Client: So Mr MC I believe you have what it takes to make the event very memorable. So how much will you charge. MC: Sir, considering my experience and expertise in events like this, I charge between N200,000 and N250,000. Client: Ahan…for what? Say wetin happen? Is it not to just come and talk ![]() I’ve heard these lines more than 5million times. No sir, it is not to just come and talk, it is far more than that. If it is to just come and talk, why don’t you hand over the microphone to your son and let him make your event very memorable. I think I have to speak for other MCs out there. This job is not easy, it is far more than just talking and as a matter of fact, the MC should be paid any amount he asks for, even if you’ll negotiate, don’t be too ridiculous with your pricing. I’ll show you other jobs your MC does at your event and why he should be well paid: At every event, it is only the MC that stands through out. From the beginning of the event till the end, at least the MC remains standing for more than 80% of the whole time. We are not robots, we get bone and flesh like you. Our legs are paining us, yet we smile at you throughout your event while you remain seated devouring every form of food that passes your front *olojukokoro* One person that most likely will not eat at an event is the MC, because while he is busy entertaining your guests with rib cracking jokes, food is being served and nobody will remind the caterer to reserve food for the MC….chai…there is God o. What about souvernirs It is not ethical and professional for your MC to be stretching his hand and neck to collect souvenirs being distributed at events but courtesy demands that you just help the MC reserve his own. I’m not talking about those “plate and spoon” kind of souvenir o. I’ve anchored an event before that Rolex wristwatches were shared as souvenir. They were kind enough to keep mine…that’s what I’m talking about…but it was stolen. *dries tears*Another reason why you should pay your MC well before the event is that a professional and ethical MC will never tax your guests for money unlike the band that will keep calling your guest’s name in their songs until they empty their purse and wallet. The band will collect the money your guests are suppose to spray you. A professional MC will only stick to the amount you paid him for the event, but that doesn’t stop you from adding more to his balance if he has impressed you by doing a wonderful job. Even invited guests sometimes envelope cool cash for the MC just to appreciate the good work he did. I wish a lot of people can imbibe this habit rather than just laughing and shouting “this MC na craze guy” when he is making them laugh well. To those that believe that the MC’s job is just to come and talk…you are wonderfully wrong. I don’t know if you’ve noticed that some people cannot do anything while the event is going on unless they ask the MC. I was anchoring an event in Lekki last month when a guest drove into the car park, looking for a space to park, he ordered the security men to go and call the MC… When I saw the man! I asked him, “hope there’s no problem sir” He said I should show him where he can park his car. I told him to come and park on the high table *straight face* I resemble LASTMA or Road Safety? Finally, the MC is held responsible for the outcome of the event mostly negative ones. When the event goes smoothly, nobody will remember the MC, but when there’s a little hiccup in d event, its the MC’s name that everybody shouts. The other day the Groom was vexed by his wife’s lateness to the wedding reception. He got angry and left the venue. The chairman called me and scolded me for allowing the bride come late for the reception…pls at this point help me judge this matter…Why me? Na me dey dress the bride ni? Abi na me do make-up for her? Abi na me be the chauffeur wey carry am come the reception. E gba mi o… Wetin concern MC with the lateness of the Bride The Groom came back sha after so much pleading from his family. With this few points of mine, I hope you will start to pay MCs well for events and not to owe them their balance. God bless. Read more www.wittypoet.
