I always like know even when im sure, so I used the internet. Which do not agree with your definition for storey, agrees with my floor definition for UK and US, and agrees with my exception I stated earlier to call a roof a suspended floor. It further states you cannot even call it a floor without slab

The definition of a storey remains consistent the world over. In North america it is the same as it is in Europe. The difference is in the naming configuration of the floors and has nothing to do with the presence or otherwise of a physical slab. While the U.K refers to the slab on grade as the ground floor, the U.S refers to it as the first floor and the numbering continues upwards. This is the distinction. It doesn't impact on the definition of a storey. A three storey structure has two suspended floors and a roof level. a seven story structure has six suspended floors and a roof level, a bungalow is a single storey structure. Once again, a storey is defined as the number of suspended levels above the ground. Please use the internet to gain adequate clarity on this.

The OP said 4 SUSPENDED FLOORS not 4floors , the other guy said 3suspended floor (not 3 floors) your own description is saying 3 SUSPENDED FLOOR and a roof.
you only added "and a roof" and did not call the roof suspended floor and you said he's wrong?
On suspended floor he's right because you repeated the same thing he said he just did not add "and a roof.

You're not calling the roof a SUSPENDED FLOOR but a floor.

the term "suspended" means it above ground level, there's no "floor" at the roof level only beams.
possibly the OP wanted to use the american description which is 4floors (no suspended) which is 3storey or 3 suspended floors
again there's the possiblility of having a partial rooftop slab which can make it termed 4 suspended floors

Sorry I've been busy and out for some time, let me drop some update on our project

And a Plumb

The line of the ground beams were tr ansfered as usual from the profile board to the foundation trench with the help of a building line

Also casting concrete biscuit ahead for the iron benbender to place while doing the placing of reinforcements. This is to allow for concrete over under the ground beam

Excavation and concrete blinding

The width of our excavation was supposed to be at least 1.2 metre as we advised the QS.
Convinient working space for ironbenders. However the client and the QS insisted on 900mm at the first stage of the project. Then it dawned on the client when the carpentry workmen and ironbenders were slow in their work and reluctant to do some part due to the the difficulty.
The width was adjusted in latter stages.

After the stage of excavation,
We did a blinding of 10cm on which to start our ground beam ironwork

The region with the veritas mark is a stair hall and the line is the then is that of the first step up

From the left the first step up was 400mm, next 400mm, and the last 500mm

The 4 flats where we stepped the foundation

Foundation Trench Excavation
Excavation of foundation tremches begins.
The depths of our excavation is 1.5metre from the NGL. The excavation varies as ground level changes.
For example in one of the stacked terrace, the difference in level from both ends was about 1.3m. Hence we stepped the foundation at each flat in the ground floor.
In summary the excavation depth at each flat varied.

I'll have understand your question so you can make the best descision. The conclusion behind decking it before roofing is what we'll have to know, them we'll know where to cut cost to achieve the project.

Construction of a 3 storey stacked Terrace (Raft foundation)
Join me as I give you bit by bit progress report on the construction of A stacked terrace which is also designed in such a way that it can be converted to block of flat. Reason being which ever moves market for the client will shape his decision.
For the mean time I've been the resident site engineer for this project for over 5months now ( since January) and we've taken the structure from foundation level to first decking. This structures are 4 units and I'm in charge of 2 units.
