Music/RadioRe: Wizkid’s “ayo” Album Claims No1 Spot On Itunes by Dospix(m): 8:29am On Sep 20, 2014
Who buys Album online in Nigeria? How many people in Nigeria and Africa has an online account? Just a fragment...you can't use itune music store as a yardstick to judge the success of an Album. I bet you that only two percent of Nigerians buy Albums online. For those of you quick to give wizkid all sort of name because of this trival achievement; don't come here hating when you here that Psquare has sold 5 million copies in one week.
Music/RadioRe: Wizkid’s “ayo” Album Claims No1 Spot On Itunes by Dospix(m): 8:18am On Sep 20, 2014
20pounds: I don't think so. P square has gone to the dogs. Their last album was full of copy copy; they copied Eminado and other less known Nigerian artistes.

Wizkid has evolved with this his recent foray into the Afro-beat genre. The only problem is; he is not original and does not play any instrument(not to my knowledge). Afro-beat also entails pan-African disposition and wider outlook on life, instead of the bling bling culture he is used to.

Another reason the album is doing well is cos the internet world is controlled these days by youths his own age, whose understanding and appreciation of music is weird(any noise is welcome as long as it is from the artiste that live the kinda life, they desire). These youths can be found in the higher institutions and have all the time in their hands to surf the net.

P square on the other hand, sing for mature people. With their last album, they seem to have disconnected from their fan base. They are confused on whether to be a Davido or Wizkid! May be their quarrel had finally gotten to them cos they lack the synergy and energy of P square.
you can't speak for everyone, you can only speak for yourself...your comment sounds too objective. We love Psquaer because they are they king of African music.
Music/RadioRe: P Square"s Album Is D Bomb by Dospix(m): 6:29pm On Sep 19, 2014
They are the king of Africa music, you don't get anything less than a blast from them...Their Album has taken over PHC.

fidel47: Ok... while am tryna 2 b objective, i think d album is jst thr cos i dun undastd y 'shekini' be sounding lyk 'shoki' nd 'mms' like 'aye'. I think psquare is way above dat level of copying recent arts lyk davido nd d rest. They shud do d 2baba style nd do their tin. All said nd done, 'bring it on' is cool, probably cos of Dave Scott.#notbeingjudgementaltho
The dimension to your hating can sometimes be confusing; one of the earlier comment of your colleague in the college of hating chided Psquare for using Davido's beat in collabo. Now you have come with your own version. Pls sir, learn to listen to music without a cotton bud hanging between your ears, else you will keep confusing yourself with this kind of silly errors.
Music/RadioRe: Album Review: Psquare Double Trouble. by Dospix(m):
Odkboy23: u knw say u dey mad ni, hw collabo take resemble aye, just because they have a similar song structure doesn't mean psquare copieddavido *********haterz talking trash since 49AD
Am actually finding it difficult to piece sensibility in what he said about Psquare copying Davido's Aye...I think it their con way of hating the kings of Africa music; they have been doing this since time memorial.

safarigirl: no need to come here just to mock the song if you don't even like the artiste....respect someone's work.
It's not easy to write lyrics and turn it to a song, it's work and it's not fair to run it down without a listen cuz the title sounds funny.

Good Night smiley
Thank you for reawakening his common sensibity...its quite angry to see individuals rubbish other peoples hard work without even giving them a fair chance.

JayJohnson: I keep pondering and thinking how the most populous black country on the planet found ourselves in this quagmire. Can you imagine that an independent negotiator appointed b the government named some alleged financier of boko haram that has been tormenting Nigeria for years and the government is still thinking or confused on what to do? This is a big, big shame! Whether they are financier to the dreaded organisation or not, it is the duty of the court to prove this, but the clueless and inept government does not even know what to do. Now this is not about opposition or APC, this has to do with government knowing the right thing to do. I just hope Nigeria will do the right thing in 2015, vote out this marauders in government
Boko haram did not give in to the theatrical drilling and brutality of our military, only for them to sink those names we have all been eager to hear into the ears of an Aussie negotiator that barely understand the terrain of Nigeria at large. Why are we this gullible? We have been blinded by hatred, and this hatred is now sinking into the section of our common sense;a very disastrous situation that might transmute to ebolaism* if not curtailed at this wee stage. Until a well refined proof is presented to back up this claim this allegation still remains a fictional hoax.

There seem to be a bit of good news coming from the scene of the incident. I was just told by an eye witness that about 5 of those already confirmed dead have miraculously woken up after the spiritual intervention of a pastor.

Rubbish list...i just feel like piercing a bullet through them NFF their head. Everything about this list doesn't just look right; where is Osaze Odewinge? I just can't understand why they will leave out one of our best players for some inconsistent players that would definitely fail us. Who even gave NFF the responsibility to select players? Can't they think out of their block heads that the least we need now isn't another theatrical depiction of their stupidity.
FamilyRe: Adichie’s Feminism: Vacuums And Fallacies By A. Gonzaga by Dospix(m):
I am a passionate reader of Adichie, I have read virtually everything by her; but, i must be unbiasly lucid about my point. I see great sense in the point raised by the writer about Adichie's unstaticness with regards to her views and ideology about feminism. I most also commend her assiduousness in ensuring that she posits her points with conspicuous and reachable facts. But the mannerism at which she foregrounded her points makes it seem as though she had prevented her from picking a laurel she soo greviously longed for. I am a full blooded man, but my love for Adichie's work is intrinsically carved from her ability to make very strong counter points on issues i felt all dead and buried. And in the course of unraveling the intricacies surrounding these issues, i didn't see the writer of this article to help me make sense of it; instead i found solace in Adichie's work. I cannot dispute the fact that Adichie's ideology on feminism is laddered with several lacuna that would in time be exposed more further; but, what i am unable to decipher is why a woman who has in her position a well loaded missile to carve out an entirely new view of gender, Nigeria and the world at large would degenerate to the level of investing all her intelligence and 'know it all' ability just to counter the perception of a lady she claims is misguided. Infact, some of the vile comment she sieved out from the social media clearly shows how uninventingly she invest her time just to literarily discredit Adichie. Yes, Adichie might be wrong in some areas of her ideology, but the mannerism employed by this writer makes her even more wrong. Achebe did not engage Joyce Caris and his ilks in this form of literary counterism*(if you permit me to call it that) he instead invested his time in carving out one of the best book the world has ever seen about Africa just to make his emphatic statement. I expect Gonzaga to do the same with a comprehensive literary work to counter Adichie's view instead of attacking her personal life. Adichie is well ahead of her in all ramification and edification; and for those of you who would ask how? i need not tell you how, because telling you how is like showing you where the River Niger is located even though i am fully aware that you are already staring at it.

LiteratureRe: Blind Turn by Dospix(op): 3:45pm On Jul 20, 2014
Tayo, was that sort of guy that told watery stories of things he never saw and people he never met. He was no doubt the cutest among my friends, and all the ladies that crossed his part never remained the same; except for a few. He has that charming brown eye, that sexy fleshy lip that required the extracurricular lips service of beautiful ladies to make it less tempting. Tayo, was everything a LUSTFUL lady dreamt of: tall, fair, handsome, muscular body and a well patched moustache nestled through his face. He has that unshattering confidence, that unblinking expression of a man who owned the world and had it cringed between his palms. He would take on every opportunity he has to tell us how he could get any girl he wanted in ANGWALAMGBU. He would go as far as telling us about the things he did when nobody looked; how he ran Muna’s body and made her speak in Japanese tongue; how Titi would call him every night and tell him how nostalgic she felt without the warmth of his touch. Tayo’s flair to get any lady he wanted had no boundary...One Friday night after he had a heated quarrel with his girl friend Sabiana, he came back home his face scowled with rage and told us he felt like visiting the new girl who just moved into one of the rooms in our lodge two days back; and when we dared him ,we watched, our eyes grimed with jealousy and uncertainty as he walked into her room and came out after two hours with his body dripping of perspiration and our mouth singing the tune of fulfilment: “BADDEST GUY EVER LIVETH!”
Tayo was good at many things but his proclivity to tell lies was epic; no wonder he always had his ways with the ladies. Two weeks into our friendship, he came back from school one Monday afternoon with a bottle of red label between his hands and told us to celebrate with him because his dad who he claims is the richest man in Osun state just bought a private jet. I didn’t know how to take this lie, but i was helpless to this reality and if the words that left my mouth that day were nothing other than the complimenting solidarity he expected from me, hell would have been let loose: “enemy of progress na so una go just dey jealous person wey pass una,” he would bust anytime i told him his stories were unbelievable. I had no option but to join in his praise singing, “ OMO BABA OLOWO” we hailed as he nodded his head, his hands coiled around the un opened bottle of Red Label we never drank. I found it difficult to decipher why one whose father had all the money to spend on a private jet could not afford him the best private university in Nigeria. It felt right to lie about certain things; but PRIVATE JET? Ah! Ah! That one is too much now! Unfortunately for Tayo his scripted world crashed after his most trusted allay Emmanuel who was the verification button of his lie got fed up with tayo’s attitude. Emmanuel, who attended the same secondary school with Tayo knew him up down and centre; so when he found it too compressing to be allied with someone whose father could barely afford a tricycle; someone who he knew would never compensate him for the many times he sold his integrity, he broke loose when the opportunity presented itself. Tayo had gone to visit Emmanuel in his house, and coincidentally not knowing that they were conducting their groaning service, barged into his room without knocking only to see them pants down making sounds that needed a computer software assembled in Eggon language before it can be deciphered. Who would have expected that Tayo would go to Manila’s house the next day and beg for his own share; well, that was what he did. He came back that day with the pitch of his voice almost shattering my door: “meeen i chop am...i chop that forbidden meat,” he said gesturing his body like an Igbo man who just won 50 million naira lottery. “Chop wetin?” i asked my ears eager for what seemed like good news. Tayo had barely finished telling us how he dribbled the bird like maradona and climbed the Sisyphean Mountain, when we heard a bellow coming from the direction of the gate: “I swear i must expose your papa today, where that mechanic pikin dey? You think say you fit back stab me go free? Oya tell them now, tell them say na my papa borrow your papa money wey you take come this school.....” Emmanuel roared, our eyes gripped with surgical amazement...Emmanuel livid that the guy he called his friend had eaten from his forbidden fruit. It was difficult for us to see the son of the richest man in Osun state suddenly flattened miraculously into the son of a mechanic. Emmanuel spilled Tayo’s sin making sure he didn’t leave any details. He told us how Tayo had lied to everyone in their secondary school that his father was a car dealer, and that they didn’t use one car in two month. He told us how he denied his father and announced to all the students in his dormitory that the man who came to visit him with a rickety tortoise car was not his father but their gateman who came only because everybody in his house had travelled to London. For days Tayo’s story lingered in our mouth; the story of the young man from Osun state whose father couldn’t even pay his school fees, who fictionally aimed for the best in his imagination. But, days were not how the other people in our lodge that were of the opposite sex took it. For weeks they would ring themselves together, clap their hands and hit their legs about the many stories Tayo had told them when he visited their room: “he even told me his grandfather is related to Tinubu’s grandfather....ehehhe! “Some would chorus to spice and lace the tragedy of the FRESHEST KID, while others would hum as if to say they just heard the story for the first time. Amarachi, the short beautiful perfect girl in our lodge who Tayo broke her heart after two hours took it upon her to tell Tayo’s story in a sort of way that i felt was quite aesthetic: “heeeee! Tayo self, una know wetin him do?” She would ask and answer even before her audience understood what she was saying.this period was the most difficult time in the life of Tayo in ANGWALAMGBU. But as weeks passed his story became less entertain.
Days after Carolina unleashed her mayhem on me and left my head ruthlessly swollen, Tayo who was aware of the full details of my predicament invited me to go with him to a new church he was recently invited to. He claimed that my problems were spiritual and i needed a powerful man of God like PASTOR THUNDER to release me from my captivity. As we got to the building of CHURCH FOR ALL FIRE FORE FIRE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY, that wee hours of that dewy Sunday morning, i was disappointed by the unpaintedness* of the church, the damp litterdness of its compound. It was without that firedness and lush spirit that enveloped her ushers.
