I share the same sentiment, what we needed last season was a cover in middle(Aurélien Tchouameni) would have been ideal and back up for both the wing backs but no lakaka is a must buy.
This season taking bissouma + pogba that's after strengthening with Sterling and aligning the defense would have been better. Let me wait till season ends if it will top Marina's 2017 signings ( drinkwater, bakayoko etc)

We 've been saying mendy needs to sit out some games , pull nd sterling are wingers . Ziyech excels in a free role albeit from the right. We have all the quality to challenge just 2 or 3 quality additions in the middle and attack and adequate back ups but no he wants expensive defenders

I only blame tuchel for his poor scouting. The early we move on from jorginho-kante- kova era the better for us. Robust DM always win league except Pep team. Even under Pep, their best wins with 99 points and 100 points came under a robust DM in Fernandinho, much better than the "non-robust" tally under Rodri.
