PoliticsI Will Rather Die In Jail Than For Ohaneze Ndigbo - Nnamdi Kanu by dotcomnamename(op): 8:07pm On Feb 28, 2016
“I will rather die in jail than for Ohaneze Ndigbo claim the glory of my release. ”

By Chimaobi Nwaiwu Nwaiwu – The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has warned those who are claiming to be representing them, including the members of Ohaneze Ndigbo and its youth wing Ohaneze Youths Wing, in negotiating for the release of its leader and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu to stop such move, that nobody speaks or represent them, unless such person or persons are designated officers of IPOB worldwide.

Nnamdi kanu The group also said that its leader Mr. Kanu has said that he will rather die in jail that the Ohaneze Ndigbo to claim the glory of his release, saying he has no business with the Igbo Socio cultural Organization.“I will rather die in jail than for Ohaneze Ndigbo claim the glory of my release. ” he said IPOB in a statement signed by its United kingdom spokesmen, Dr Clifford Iroanya and Emma Mmezu, a lawyer said “we are in court and our wish is to expose the fraudulent charge of treasonable felony before the whole world. At the end of this case the corrupt and compromised segment of the Nigerian judiciary will be publicly disgraced. “Our march to freedom is unstoppable; this is something Buhari ought to know.

We have come to die for Biafra if that is what it will take to be free. Our resolve should not be underestimated. As our leader will always say, “Nigeria will kill us, we will kill them but in the end we will win” IPOB reaction follows an alarm raised from Enugu yesterday by some of their members that some people suspected to be Ohaneze Ndigbo and their youth wing Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths Wing were impersonating their leaders in Enugu, claiming to be representing them in meeting with some American Officials who were in Nigeria to have a meeting with IPOB on the release of their leader and what they want be done to them for peace to reign, which they said needs their designated officers presence and contribution, but they were not informed, but the people went ahead to speak for IPOB when they do not have the powers and authorization of the group to speak for them.

Some people alleged to be members of the Ohaneze Ndigbo and Ohaneze Youth wing were said to had met with some Americans, at Nike Lake Resort Hotel between 6pm and 7pm Saturday evening.

Politics2 Foreigners + 1 Nigerian = Commonsense by dotcomnamename(op): 8:05pm On Feb 25, 2016
2 Foreigners + 1 Nigerian = Commonsense

I like the spirit and the intent of the commonsense yarns. I have shown that I have been on that train since at least 2006. If we disagree with the man currently anchoring it, it should not be mistaken for disagreement with the vision and the ideal. It is the crass opportunism, inconsistencies, and contradictions of the current commander-in-chief of commonsense that are at issue.

For instance, without disturbing Nigeria's sleep, Wole Soyinka always publishes his Intervention Series books with a Nigerian publishing company.

But you, who have been disturbing our sleep with ‪#‎BuyNaijatoGrowNaija‬, you entitle your own book, A Commonsense Revolution, only to print it in America. Ever heard of Onibonoje Press in Ibadan? They have been around since Ajayi Crowther!

No do no do, your own name, Ben Murray-Bruce, is a minority on the book cover which features a foreign majority of one American and one Britico. No Nigerians could have given you a Foreword?

No do no do, one of your foreworders, Joe Trippi, is a notorious American yam eater, former boss of Reno Omokri, who after crashing Howard Dean's presidential campaign, 'borrowed himself some brain' and realized that he was better off eating yams in Nigeria than working as a political consultant in his own country, the USA. Kia kia, he became a consultant to President Jonathan and the PDP, earned himself the dream identity of every white man in Africa, "expatriate", and began to rake in millions in Abuja. I once wrote an op-ed asking President Jonathan to tell us how much the Nigerian tax payer was paying Joe Trippi for his services.

Dasuki may not be a tribalist because he spread his ATM to every Nigerian ethnic group. However, I suspect he is a racist otherwise we should have heard Joe Trippi's name in the revelations by now. Dasuki probably denied him yams on account of race.

It is this same American yam eater that has been invited to co-write the foreword to a book telling Nigerians to 'borrow' themselves commonsense!

The Nigerian citizen - footmat of the Nigerian elite since 19 gbogboro!

TravelUrgent Message To Families Using Commercial Transportation In Nigeria by dotcomnamename(op): 1:44pm On Feb 25, 2016
I just got this message from a facebook page.

URGENT MESSAGE TO BE PASSED ON TO FAMILIES AND FRIENDS IN NIGERIA. MAY GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY FROM EVIL DEVICES. AMEN.

From Kemi Filani Blog; How a female passenger disappeared in a commercial Lagos Bus yesterday. (Must Read) This is an eye-opener for us all! Please DO NOT collect money from any passenger when you enter a bus to be passed to the driver or conductor.

Something bizarre but true happened at Ikotun Lagos yesterday at around 6:40pm and it's a great lesson for everyone. Read the mail I got below: "Kemi, kindly help warn people o. My aunt just came back and she is shaking seriously for she witnessed a strange incident some minutes ago. She boarded a bus from her office to drop at Ikotun yesterday evening and unfortunately the bus had no conductor so one woman - one of them (passengers) decided to play the good Samaritan by helping the driver to collect the transport fare from passengers.

Everyone co-operated and paid except one old man like that. Eventually he brought out his N50 and gave the woman to give the driver. Immediately this woman collected the money, she started shaking like someone that had been hit with 'warapa'. The shaking got so bad that the driver had to pack and everyone started shouting on the old man to undo whatever he had done to the innocent woman after all it was after she collected the money from him that she began shaking.

The old man now said they should let him rub the woman's breast so that the shaking can stop. While rubbing her breast, they both disappeared like film trick. Everybody in the bus shouted and scattered, even the driver fled. You needed to have seen the commotion. Please help warn Nigerians to be careful. The kidnappers keep devising new methods everyday. Only God knows where that woman is now".

PoliticsBiafra Is Ijaw, Not Igbo- Asari-dokubo by dotcomnamename(op): 10:00pm On Feb 24, 2016
Leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Front, NDPVF, Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo has said that contrary to the perception in most quarters that the name Biafra which was adopted by the then breakaway Eastern region is Igbo, the phrase is Ijaw.

He also noted it was an Ijaw man, who suggested the name at a meeting convened by the late leader of the defunct Republic of Biafra, Chief Chukwuemeka Ojukwu to decide on the way forward for the Eastern region after the 1966/1967 pogrom.

Dokubo, who said this in a statement stated that the late Niger Delta activist, Maj. Isaac Adaka Boro affirmed that Ijaw is Biafra in chapter six of his autobiography entitled: Twelve Day Revolution.

He further said that the ties between Igbo and Ijaw ethnic groups are inseparable, adding that It was another Ijaw Cardinal Rex Jim Lawson, who first played the Biafran national anthem during the proclamation of independence on May 30, 1967.

His words: “Ignorance can be a terrible disease but it is curable if the sufferer is ready to humble himself to learn and accept the cure for his sickness. Biafra is a Kalabari Ijaw phrase Bia fulo meaning not properly cooked. The Kalabari of Kula named the estuary of Santa Barbara Bia fulo because of the turbulence of the sea at the estuary. The Portuguese like they did to many other names, words and phrases which they could not pronounce properly named the area Biafra. Later the coastline from the estuary of River Nun to the coast of Gabon was named the Bight of Biafra.

“The doyen of our struggle Isaac Adaka Boro clearly affirmed that Ijaw is BIiafra in chapter six, page 57 of his autobiography ‘Twelve Day Revolution’. Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, before the declaration of secession, convoked an Eastern Nigerian consultative Assembly to decide on the direction and way forward for the Eastern Region after the 1966/1967 pogrom against Easterners in the north. The assembly debated on many names put forward by delegates and chose Biafra which was put forward by Frank Opigo an Ijaw.”

BusinessDollar = N197 by dotcomnamename(op): 9:53pm On Feb 24, 2016
DOLLAR = N197

Please let me explain to those of us who don't understand Economic terms. Dollar has not increased since Buhari became president

1. Dollar is not our currency so dollar should not be our business

2. Our problem is not d government but our problem is our importers and consumers

3. Naira has remained at 197 naira to 1 dollar since Buhari became president

4. Buhari has promised not to devalue the Naira and he has maintained that promise

5. Both at CBN and at interbank rates,
dollar has remained 197

6. However because we are too lazy to produce what we use in Nigeria we import even toothpicks and matches

7. Buhari does not like d importation of luxury goods because luxury goods is d reason for most corruption, that is why he banned 41 products from having access to forex

8. However when Nigerian importers insisted on importing those 41 products, FG asked them to find their dollar at d BDCs parallel market also known as black market

9. And to discourage the pressure Nigerians are mounting on the Naira just to get dollars for importation, CBN banned DMBs from selling dollars to BDCs

10. To survive the pressure of excess dollar demands, BDCs resorted to sourcing for dollars from neighbouring countries through illicit money laundering routes

11. Because of the risks faced by BDCs to source for dollars, and because of the increase in demand for dollars by importers because China just resumed from their business holidays, BDCs keep increasing the price at which they exchange dollars to naira and now it is 400 Naira to 1 dollars

12. However that does not mean that govt has changed the exchange rate because if our genuine importers go to CBN and fill Form M to import raw materials for local production, they will get dollars at 197 naira each

13. So the problem is that we love to consume luxury foreign products yet we are too lazy to manufacture them here.

14. For example u will see a dull girl using iPhone 5 without even knowing simple physics and computer engineering part of how that phone was produced

15. I want Buhari to ban every foreign product from Nigeria until Nigerians learn to produce and use Made in Nigeria products

16. Let us stop complaining about dollar as if dollar has become Nigeria's currency

17. It is even bad enough that most of those complaining about the high exchange rate of dollar do not have 1 single dollar in their purse.

BusinessDollar Crashes, Sells For N310 At Streets Market by dotcomnamename(op): 10:10am On Feb 24, 2016
The Naira is gradually regaining its value at the Bureau De Change market as it exchanged at N310 to the dollar yesterday.
Checks by our correspondent at the Zone 4, Abuja bureau de change market showed that the operators were buying at N310 to one dollar from walk-in customers as against the about N400 last week.

Speaking to our correspondent on the matter, the acting Chairman, North Central Chairman of the Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON) Alh. Shehu Mahmud said the naira went crashing lately at the streets market largely due to activities of speculators.
According to him, when ABCON realized that, it has taken measures to ensure the value of the naira is restored further.

Alh. Shehu who is also the Managing Director/CEO Fortune Bureau de Change Ltd said to “show the government that ABCON are patriotic people who love this country, we advised our members to stop buying forex from even walk-in customers because the rates were speculative and we stopped. A lot of our members have not been buying and selling in the past three weeks. This is actually what drove the rate down to about N360 initially” he said.

He explained that the BDC operators are buying at N310 and selling at N370. “We are doing so because if we buy higher, we may lose our money. So we crashed the price to also break even. But if you want to buy, you will buy at N370 or N375. It was that action of ABCON that brought down the price but this is still not good enough. We will go lower”, he said.

Meanwhile, the Association of Bureau De Change of Nigeria (ABCON) have said its members are not responsible for the devaluation of the naira against the dollar that as currently witnessed at the parallel market.

The president of the association, Aminu Gwadabe in a news briefing yesterday in Lagos said: “with the intense scarcity of the dollar in the market, the rate is largely determined by sellers and not by Bureau de change (BDCs), we are largely resellers and what we get as margin is a function of the rate we buy”

The free fall of the naira against the dollar hit an all-time high by exchanging for N400/ $ last week but appreciated to N375/ $ by Monday following the president’s defiance on the devaluation of the currency.

Gwadabe said: “the stance of the President Buhari is helping to clear the doubt in the forex market. What we are experiencing is not a realistic rate but a passive rate brought about as a result of rush by people to stock the dollar for long term activities to avoid the effect of further depreciation.
