AreaFada2: Have you tried Clinix Healthcare in Lagos? I learnt last time that they have. They are around Festac (I think number 6 or 8 Ago Palace way, By Apple Junction, Amuwo Odofin). I heard they have another at Ilepeju area. Anthony side of it. I didn't bother to take much note. I do not know if the person it was recommended to actually went or what happened there.
The numbers I noted down and gave out were : 07053308332, 08066317944 & 01-2911164. I never called these numbers, so do not be disappointed if they don't go through.
I have no doubt that our home-based friends: medics, nurses, physios, scientists and more will know more places that offer MRI. Good luck sir. Thanks a lot, Sir. You've been really helpful. |

Hi, Doctors in the house. My Dad was asked to go for an MRI scan but unfortunately for us, most hospitals we've been to do not have the machine.
After all the search, we only saw two hospitals who claimed to have it, but said, it was under repair. L.
I using this medium to reach out to doctors here who might be aware or even work in Hospitals who may be in possession of the machine. Your help is really needed. Thanks in anticipation. musicwriter: LOL!.
The owner of google, Mr. Larry Page is the simplest of them all, and he's the real genius. I consider Zuckerberg a lucky guy. Mr. Page is the person I would like shaking his hands one day and I will. I used to like Bill Gates very much too, until he became a predator buying up up-coming businesses and young competetors. While you commend Mr. Page, I hope you don't forget Sergey Brin as I consider him to be the genius of the lot. Brin singlehandedly crunched the mathematical algorithm (page rank) that Google used in their early days. It takes a level of intelligence to do that. I recommend "Life in the Plex". A great book about Google's early days. N.B: I'm not in anyway undermining nor denigrating the achievements of the rest. |

Hi People. I came across a question that was posted by Lawrence (Larry) page at the beginning of a dissertation that eventually became the 2nd Most valuable band in the world. He was in the process of building a web crawler in the new programming language that came out a year earlier (Java) and he was having some issues with it. I thought I should share the question. It should even be put in a coding museum. Don't you think? "I have a web robot which is a Java app. I need to be able to set the User-Agent field in the HTTP header in order to be a good net citizen (so people know who is accessing their server). Anyone have any ideas? Right now, Java sends a request that includes something like: User-Agent: Java/1.0beta2 I'd rather not rewrite all the HTTP stuff myself. I tried just searching in the JDK for the Java/1.0beta2 figuring I could just change the string, but I couldn't find it. Perhaps it is stored as a unicode string? An easy method of setting the User-Agent field should probably be added to Java, so people can properly identify their programs. Thanks, Larry Page 09/01/1996 " Find more on the original site https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/comp.lang.java/aSPAJO05LIU/ushhUIQQ-ogJ |

I was playing some songs with my HOT3 this morning and all of a sudden, it just stopped producing any sound from the speaker yet the widget showed that the song was still playing on. I suspected it was a software problem and I tried playing songs from the different mp3 and mp4 playing apps on my phone, but still no sound. It's still the same with the videos. I tested my Ringtone and alarm tone and they work fine but I can't get the speaker to produce sounds for my mp3 and mp4 files. I bought the phone on the 2nd of this month. Please, what could be the problem? |

blackprowler: I'm aware of a majority of these threats, and the most realistically possible and imminent one at any moment - the nuclear one. This is why I'm running insane at absolute FOOLS whose only obsession is how to be married so and so time, to have such and such children, to undermine their fellow man, cheat them and get one unmerited promotion or the other, defend one tribe or the other. It's all a joke. Human beings are incredibly ignorant, even more so in Nigeria. These Islamic barbarians are ACTIVELY look to get their hands on nuclear weapons and then the world will understand what nuclear weapons are all about since their only preoccupation is reality TV and how Davido wore that dress. You know the world almost came to an end in October 1962, and almost by mistake in 1977 (or 78)? I wish I were not around on earth and observe these things happen to earthlings so that they realise I'm not that crazy afterall and I ponder what they never spare a thought about I dont see anything wrong if someone's goal is to get married and have children. the rest are terrible though. Having a wife and kids is nice but doing just that would be boring for me because I believe there are lots of things to be done. but if that is someone's goal, fine. hope you get my point. |

Robot ascension
The Terminator may be science fiction, but robotic killing machines capable of thinking and acting on their own are not far from becoming a reality.
The United Nations recently called for a ban on killer robots - presumably because experts feared that several countries were developing them.
Inventor Elon Musk, co-founder of Paypal, said last year that artificial intelligence might be the “greatest existential threat” that humans face.
And Stephen Hawking recently said: “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.” I'm a huge fan of Elon Musk, but when it comes to this situation, I'll say he is a little bit paranoid. His opinion contradicts Larry Page's own. Google uses ai for lots of things e.g the making of self driving cars. Elon invested in a robotic company stating that he wants to make sure they don't go too far. We aren't at that level of civilization yet. A huge fan though |
Webmasters › Re: How Websites Work by Douglasin: 7:34pm On Mar 23, 2016 |
castel428: Bros how does Web owners gain money just from people visiting their site? I wanna know how it works Web owners make money by registering in Google AdSense and Google put ads in the site. Let's assume I own a blog that attracts about 1000 viewers and I want to monetize it, all I have to do is register for Google AdSense. For example a banner in my site is an ad for Volkswagen. If someone clicks on the ad through my blog, then Volkswagen pays (let's assume $1). Since I used Google's services to place the ad in my blog, Google take 32% of the $1 and leave me with 68%(i.e 68cents). If we assume 20% of my viewers click on the ad everyday, you get 200 multiplied by $0.68 which equals $136 daily. It doesn't matter if the person makes a purchase with Volkswagen or not, but as long as the ad was clicked, your $0.68 is sure. That's the idea Facebook uses, but they don't use Google AdSense, they use Private ads. Facebook is worth over $250 billion and 80% of their revenue comes from ads. Google ,or rather Alphabet (the 2nd most valuable brand in the world) also depend mostly on ads. Hope I clarified it? |

Examples of the Int. Entrepreneurs are Mark Zuckerberg - Facebook, Larry Page and Sergey Brin - Google, Bill Gates - Microsoft. etc. These guys own shares in their company. E.g Larry page and sergey Brin hold a combined 15% shares in google and that's about 65 billion dollars, Mark Zuckerberg owns 28% shares and that's about 46billion dollars. Hope you get it now. |

Do we have any of their equivalent in Nigeria? Atleast right now? How many CS graduates do we have? We are comparing both courses, not their alumnus Zuck's dad was a dentist. |
