Good Morning Everyone.. Happy Childrens Day. This piece is written by a broken hearted Cadet. NSDP (Nigerian Sea Farers Development Programme) is a NIMASA programme set out to train cadets abroad for the Marine sector. They made us sit for examination and we were invited in batches for interview on 01/12/12 to Etals Hotel Lagos. My batch Nos 27/21/008. At the screening medicals was conducted. Int'l passports were made for those who got none and the passports were held by NSDP officials who ask us to go back home and prepare for our travelling abroad for studies. There has been so many call ups since then for the travel, but out of the many called most were to students/persons who didn't sit for the exam/interview. As of Friday 22 May 2015 we went to NSDP office @ Lagos to confirm why we are not yet called upon. We were shocked with the words of their mouth. The Asst Director Mc Foy told us that we are not Qualified. After 3yrs of waiting we were giving such a bad news. They want us to believe their lies. They spent those 3 yrs sending abroad their children and relations to study neglecting the cadets who sat for the exam/interview exercises conducted by them. Please the public should help us get justice. We only want to study. She (Asst Director) told us it is a priviledge and not our right to be sent abroad. Send or rebroadcast this message to any Political/influential person so we can go for our study. God bless Us as we be our brothers keepers. Below are names of few cadets who have been denied of their right to a government project.
