Visa alert for my children (child dependent visa)
Biometric date: June 28th (for everyone)
BRP collection mail: 12th July (MA and husband)

I made the difficult decision to travel leaving my family behind so that I could meet up. I have cried until I couldn’t anymore.

4 paid emails
10 paid calls
2 escalations (4th August, 19th August)

Last paid call on 25th August, this call was funny because after narrating everything that has happened, we were both quiet for about 30 seconds and the person at the other end said “that’s not right , a child doesn’t have to wait so long for this. I will not give you a timeline , I am sending an urgent email as we speak. Expect a feedback very soon”

Visa alert this morning at 9am! Honestly I am so happy. Before heading to work today I prayed again. God has done it.

To my fellow May and June applicants I use myself as a point of contact that yours will be approved ASAP. Have a great day everyone.

Please guys, my CoS came out of the 17th of July. Maintenance was not ticked. The start date on it was 31st of July but because maintenence was not ticked, I had to do the 28 days proof of funds which will be complete tomorrow. My question now is that I am about 21 days late of the start on my CoS. Will this be an issue with my visa application. Although the expiration date of my CoS is 18th of October. Please advise me.

Police report is a requirement for all applicants aged 18 years and above.

It’s police report is now mandatory for dependent and not just main applicant alone.

MA applied long before now and already in the UK.

Applied as dependent and child on Friday July 28th, 2023.

I got two (2) NSF emails for the dependent empty and another requesting for specifically requesting for Police report.

I also got 1 NSF email although blank for the child.

For Dependent - Doc includes CoS it MA, Marriage Certificate, TB, Certificate, Consent Letter, Family Photo, Intl Passport, Visa page of MA

For Child - Doc includes CoS of MA, TB, Visa page of MA, Consent letters, Filler UKVI Consent form, Marriage Certificate, Intl Passport, Birth certificate from National population issued 2021 while the child was born 2020.

Prior before I have seen lots of dependents apply for visa with police report and they get it reason I didn’t bother to get as I thought I will only be needing in the UK by some employers.


Below is one of the 3 emails I got few hours ago.




The UK Decision Making Centre is currently assessing the application submitted by the above named. We are unable to conclude the application at this time as we require additional information.

Please provide the following documents:

• A criminal record certificate from the relevant National authority in any country in which you have been present for 12 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the 10 years before the date of application, and while aged 18.

Please send this document as a scanned attachment within 28 working days to WorkSponsoredDocumentRequests@homeoffice.gov.uk quoting GWF071873397 in the subject line.

Please attach the document directly to the email as we are unable to access links to files hosted on sites such as Dropbox™ or Google Drive™. Please also include a translation of the document provided if it is not in English or Welsh.

If you do not provide this evidence or contact us to explain any delays your application may be refused.

My dependents are still awaiting decision.
Biometrics was on June 28th.
Sent several paid emails and received generic responses.
I’ve done 3 paid calls, the last person I spoke to said it was escalated on 4th August and I should wait another 15 working days.
It’s very upsetting to be honest.

NSF category watin be out faith abeg 😫, what's there the can't be able to verify within 15days , some of my documents will expire soon well is at their custody.

Una sure say this people never forget say them send us NSF 😏😏.

Any one who has made paid calls for NSF 🤷. that Escalation stuff nah that one worst pass , that's why I haven't called them .
Let's keep hoping though 😫.

You won’t believe I am still waiting for my children to get their visas. Biometrics was submitted June 28th 2023. I’ve sent several emails and made 2 paid calls and still nothing. I have no choice but to wait.

I and my family submitted our biometrics on June 28th.
I have received my visa but the status of my dependents is still “application received by DMC”.
It was a standard visa application and today is the 24th working day.
Is it advisable to send an escalation email to ukvi?
Please help @duchess90 and other gurus. Thank you.

Hello. The cost of police clearance certificate is 30,000. First register on their website

Then go to any police station in your area.

The 15 working days wait is killing me! My fingers are itching to send a mail but I’ll continue to be patient as today is only day 11 after giving biometrics.
Someone should post visa alerts na. What is happening?

In PCC where the previous passport number was mistakenly used instead of the present passport number. Note: the two passport numbers are on the passport data page.
The present passport number was on all the documents and the Visa application form.
Please is there any solution to this mistake like an affidavit.
