And why should I? He should browse or better still go to a good phone dealer and figure it out.
Phones / Re: Which Phone Should I Buy With 700k by DrAda(f): 1:27pm On Sep 04
Go for Samsung products. 700k for a good phone is a solid investment. When used right, a phone can serve as a mini computer, manage tasks, make quick money and generally improve one's lifestyle

We should disregard the messages but your stations are all selling N900.

My thoughts exactly. It is just ridiculous that this country is being run by a crop of incompetent leaders who do not care that their actions have a great impact on the masses.

As long as it ends with contemplation. We all nursed the same idea at some point in our marriages but as the wise ones always say time heal all wounds.

Every cake no be ice cake na madam.
Growing up ,there use to be some muffin looking cakes that they baked in small metallic pans back then and of course, the hotter the better so people usually go to queue in such bakeries in the mornings to rush the product when its still hot, high demand sort of thing..
That's where the term came from.

OK. We learn something new everyday.

Matthew 23:23 (NIV)

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill, and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy, and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former."

How people benefit from fake news:

Step 1: sponsor fake news that fuel is selling more than X2 of the actual price.

Step 2: Gauge the reaction of the masses and see if they'll insult the government instead of debunking the fake news.

Step 3. Masses insult the government.

Step 4. Sponsors of fake news actually increase the price of fuel to more than X2 of the actual price for their own selfish benefits.

Finally, someone gets the social formula at play. Well done

Brainvolt:

Sis, I no blame you. Na poverty
If you test affluence for 1 week , you no go gree go back

Ahh yes. The popular rhetoric.

Well, I have never been poor so I don't know what that feels like. On the other hand, I have never been that affluent, which in my opinion, would mean earning at least a million dollars per month.

But if I do get that rich, I know for certain that showing off expensive cars will not be on top of my list. I imagine that I will aim for a simpler life style which generally entails living well, eating right and engaging with very few people of like minds. Something akin to what Bill gates is doing at the moment which is to focus on an area of interest or need and then sponsor top researchers in that field to solve that riddle. Consider it a game but a life game set on a world stage in which I am directly responsible in positively changing the lives of many.

I am pretty sure that you don't believe anything that I am saying at the moment and therein lies the real issue. Your mindset, which is unique to you and not shared by many others who place little importance on material things to feel fulfilled.

My point exactly. They will learn as they grow older. It's inevitable.

When I hear people talk about driving the latest model of cars, I truly wonder what's so special about it. It's just a car. Same goes for expensive outfits and things that generally make no sense.

It's truly amazing what people are fixated by.

It's nothing new. Same anomaly can be found in any academic institution all over the world.

As one gets older, one quickly realizes that spending hundreds of millions of naira on an item that depreciates over time makes no economic sense.

Let the youngsters be youngsters. They will learn with time.

Tightpussy2024:

Nigerians generally operate in master and slave relationship mode. Everything is a power tussle and not partnership. Even marriage, head and neck .

For someone who has never worked with a Nigerian ( or black) with the exception of nysc I find it strange.
You will be chatting with a "staff" that walks and gists with you, then later you will realize it's actually the CEO of the company.

Here, when you resign, they will ask you of your experience and if you there is any way they could have improve.

Employee welfare matters alot.
How people work for only three months at most and leave is not a red flag anyone observed. And how two people are arrested in a short space of time from same company makes no sense. Why you accuse someone of theft falsely says alot of the company
You don't call people thieves randomly, until auditing is done. It's when you try to balance account and then is shortage you make accusations. Not that at the onset of a staff receiving money to the personal account you arrest the person.

True. In saner climes, this situation would have been handled differently.

While I am against his mode of incarceration, it is very hard to believe that the young man is of good character evidenced by the following...

- His father is a retired soldier
- He is not in good terms with anyone, not even his parents, or siblings
- He informed noone that he was in prison because of an existing bad reputation within the family
- He has been imprisoned before for theft
- His reason for insulting his boss was because a colleague was accused of theft
- The boss that reportedly sent him to jail also sent some money for bail
- The same boss tried to withdraw the case but couldn't

The whole story sounds like fiction

-------------------------------------------------------------------
On a side note, I observed that the nairalanders who were able to detect the myriad of issues in this young man's story are either employers of labour or leaders in their respective fields. Managing people for a living tends to enhance one's ability to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Both parties should learn from this
