14 Black on White

Stare at the center of the image for about 30 seconds and then look away at a preferably white surface (sometimes the ceiling works). What do you see?

15 Endless Staircase

This is a variation of the endless staircase optical illusion constructed out of legos. Like the the blivet, this is also an impossible object and is sometimes called the “Penrose triangle”.

16 Blue vs Green

There are several variations to this optical illusion but the effect is the same. The “blue” and “green” backgrounds are in fact the same color (open it in photoshop).

17 Scintillating Grid

This is a variation of the Hermann Grid where black dots appear and disappear at the intersections of the gray lines. Interestingly enough, if you cock your head at a 45 degree angle the effect is reduced (but not eliminated).

18 Fraser Spiral

First described by British psychologist James Fraser in 1908, this illusion is also known as the “false spiral”. While it appears that the overlapping arcs are spiraling into infinity they are in fact only a series of concentric circles.

19 Jastrow Illusion

Named after Robert Jastrow in 1889, the bottom figure appears to be larger although they are both the same size. This is because the shorter edge of “A” is directly adjacent to the longer edge of “B”.

Monster Illusion
Found in virtually every psychology textbook in the world, the two monsters in this optical illusion are in fact the same size. Your brain automatically adjusts images that it perceives to be distant in order to compensate for the fact that they are larger than they seem.

22 Kanizsa Triangle

The Kanizsa Triangle was named after the psychologist Gaetano Kanizsa who first described its effect. When you look at the image your brain creates contours (outlines) of a triangle although none exist. In reality it is an illusion created by the the wedges and the angles.

24 Hermann Grid

This is a classic optical illusion named after Ludimar Hermann who discovered it in 1870. At every point where the white lines intersect our eyes perceive a gray, shadowy blob. If you look directly at one of the intersections though, the blob disappears.

TV/MoviesThe Final Season Of 'game Of Thrones' Will Cost $15 Million Per Episode by DrGaius(op): 9:06pm On Dec 22, 2017
As if Game of Thrones weren’t already anxiously awaiting the final season of the popular fantasy TV franchise, now it’s being reported that HBO will be spending a massive amount on each of the six remaining episodes.

The series, which only just wrapped its record- setting seventh season, will return at some point in either 2018 or 2019 for what will be its final run. It’s already well-known that the final season of Game of Thrones will be shorter, at just six episodes, and that each of those episodes could have a much longer run time than that of a typical 60-minute drama.

According to a new Varietyreport, each of those final episodes should be jam-packed with action, and high production quality, as HBO is set to spend a whopping $15 million on each installment.

Part of the reason for that huge price tag is the fact that the episodes will run longer than usual (though, the show’s seventh-season finale clocked in at almost 80 minutes). But, as anyone who follows the plot of Game of Thrones could guess, the final six episodes are also likely to feature an inordinate amount of epic battle scenes that will require their fair share of large-scale set pieces and computer graphics ( CGI dragons aren’t cheap).

So, it’s no surprise that Game of Thrones will go out with a bang, financially, with HBO willing to spend well above the $10 million price tag that the series’ most recent episodes reportedly included.

What you need to know about Daenery's dragons:
* Sha has three dragons
* Drogon is one of the three dragons born in the Dothraki Sea. He is named after Daenerys's late husband Khal Drogo. He can be distinguished by his black and red colored scales, and red-black wings. He is also Daenerys's personal mount. He is by far the biggest, strongest and most aggressive. Remember Drogo promised to conquer the world for her, Drogons would probably win the battle for her.

* Rhaegal is named after Daenerys Targaryen's eldest brother, Rhaegar, who happen to be Jon Snow's father. He can be distinguished by his green and bronze colored scales, and his yellow-orange colored wings.

Rhaegar was killed on the green bank of a river, hence his name being given to a green dragon. To me, Rhaegal is nice and an intellect. The kind of dragon that knows history, but won't mansplain it to you. He enjoys long rides along the beach and would be extra satisfied if he would be the one to kill Jaime Lannister, since he killed his father.

* Finally, there is Viserion, named the second in line to the Mad King Aery's throne, Viserys Targaryen. Viserion is creamy white with gold markings, matching the real-life appearance of the late Viserys (creep). Viserys looked like a true Targaryen, with silver hair and milky pale skin. He also had the incestual and misogynistic mind of one, too. Luckily Dany put a stop to his temporary reign, but still found it in her heart to name one of her prized dragons after him. The gold markings on the dragon are also a reference to the way that Viserys died — with his beloved gold melting into his head.
He was killed by the night king's spear.

Some of the picture below shows behind the scene pics of Dany's dragons.

well said, some people can be mentally lazy to think.. like wait oo gas that is in a canister. it has to closed right, so even if a phone can ignite it(which it can't btw) how did the canister now explode??
Come to think of it, these devices are low-power radio-frequency transmitters (between 450 and 2700 MHz), with a peak power value that ranges between 0.1 and 2 watts. Can they really ignite fumes at fuel stations of cause explosion at gas stations? Capital NO.

exactly o, who made the investigation that concluded that it was phone call?? obviously pple haven't seen a gas canister explode b4, the force of the explosion will probably leave little eye witness. a quick research by people would have help alot to know this is bogus lie, but Nigerians are fucking lazy and would just go with the crowd.
Laziness is number 1. Another thing is the silly rush to be the first to post it on the internet. What a shame. No investigation, no research. If a man, for instance falls at a road side, you will be surprised that people around will only take picture and rush to nairaland or facebook to post. What a country. What a people.

This stupid report again?? But no way in Hell can phone call ignite a fucking gas canister. y'all have brain use it and make ur own research ffs.

Exactly. But guys here will rather argue blindly with you than listen to what you have to say. Phone radiation is to small to ignite fumes or cause explosion.

Commendable thread for those that are skeptical due to the recent travel ban issued by the U.S Government.

I came in through JFK by Virgin Atlantic September 2016. Plane touched down at 12:45 am New York Time. It was a very short queue and was busy talking with a lady I met in London during the three hours layover. On the queue; a middle-aged man directed me to a CBP officer while the lady was directed to another officer.

Me: Good morning.

CBP Officer: Morning; Passport please? Took my finger print.

CBP Officer: Why are you in the U.S?

Me: For professional development Program on Contract Management and negotiation. I mentioned date of training and the University it was held.

CBP Officer: How long are you staying?

Me: 10 days

CBP Officer: Okay, welcome to the U.S. Stamped me in for 6 months.

Me: Thank you.

Proceeded to Agriculture and scanned my Bag through and that was it.

No need for panic if your intention in the U.S is straightforward.
Thanks. In a situation where I am going to hustle, and am asked why I came to the US, what do I tell them. Also, what do I reply, if the question of how long will you be staying arises?

#1. Chernobyl$200 Billion

On April 26, 1986, the world witnessed the costliest accident in history. The Chernobyl disaster has been called the biggest socio-economic catastrophe in peacetime history. 50% of the area of Ukraine is in some way contaminated after a nuclear reactor exploded. Over 200,000 people had to be evacuated and resettled while 1.7 million people were directly affected by the disaster.

The death toll attributed to Chernobyl, including people who died from cancer years later, is estimated at 125,000.

The total costs including cleanup, resettlement, and compensation to victims has been estimated to be roughly $200 Billion. The cost of a new steel shelter for the Chernobyl nuclear plant will cost $2 billion alone. The accident was officially attributed to power plant operators who violated plant procedures and were ignorant of the safety requirements needed.

#2. Space Shuttle Columbia$13 Billion

The Space Shuttle Columbia was the first space worthy shuttle in NASA's orbital fleet. It was destroyed during re-entry over Texas on February 1, 2003 after a hole was punctured in one of the wings during launch 16 days earlier. The original cost of the shuttle was $2 Billion in 1978. That comes out to $6.3 Billion in today's dollars. $500 million was spent on the investigation, making it the costliest aircraft accident investigation in history. The search and recovery of debris cost $300 million.

In the end, the total cost of the accident (not including replacement of the shuttle) came out to $13 Billion according to the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

#3. Prestige Oil Spill$12 Billion

On November 13, 2002, the Prestige oil tanker was carrying 77,000 tons of heavy fuel oil when one of its twelve tanks burst during a storm off Galicia, Spain. Fearing that the ship would sink, the captain called for help from Spanish rescue workers, expecting them to take the ship into harbour.

However, pressure from local authorities forced the captain to steer the ship away from the coast. The captain tried to get help from the French and Portuguese authorities, but they too ordered the ship away from their shores. The storm eventually took its toll on the ship resulting in the tanker splitting in half and releasing 20 million gallons oil into the sea.

According to a report by the Pontevedra Economist Board, the total cleanup cost $12 billion.
