Victor Osimhen deja Vu. Lookman should handle this very well and not listen to Nigerians
Even if what lookman did was wrong

The Coach shouldn't call out one of your best players like that in public to the press
At least enter dressing room first
This is someone that won him his first major trophy

🚨🇳🇬 Gasperini: “Ademola Lookman is one of the worst penalty takers I’ve ever seen”.

“He wanted to take the penalty after scoring a goal, he took the ball despite Retegui and De Keteleare available to take it… I didn’t like what Lookman did”.
Lmao they were losing 5-1 aggregate before lookman came o

The same retegui that missed penalty against arsenal and Torino? That made them drop points

Another win for Strasbourg. Another solid performance from Santos, as well as Mamadou Sarr.
My team

They go into every game as underdogs and win

They've taken points from Marseille and the big teams there

Santos has been consistent

But do you think he can play at this level in England?

And has your Neto with goal sense done his primary duty like lavia?

Our 13th position is a blessing in disguise. We no dey even chase top 4. No pressure at all. We either qualify for Europa by fa cup or qualify for champions league by europa. That ekuke must be offloaded to Chelsea by fire by force

I said I will not write off any players until I see them under another manager. I said that because until the last 5 games of last season, there was nothing tactical about Poch. I said that because I needed to see players in strict tactical positioning. I have seen enough now of some players, and no that nothing can be done about them.

Enzo for instance, I didn't jump on his case like Ibime did early on. I kinda felt there was a tactical way to balance using Enzo in the midfield without major midfield overload from the opposition in defensive passes of the game. Which is why I applaud how Maresca deploys the inverted defender.

The problem is that Enzo as an attacking player is also a problem. He's the main reason Maresca's double 8 doesn't work in attack. He's probably good in a slower league. In the PL, he's a complete misfit. He's like one of those Jorginho/Pirlo-like players that like to roam at the base of the midfield for long passes. Not mobile enough to join the attack in correct timings, not nimble enough to be very press resistant and almost no goal-sense.

Unfortunately, he's the same in the defensive passes of the game. Take that dude out and put in like a Szobozlai/Guimares type player, and you'd see the instant impact with Maresca's tactics, in double 8 alongside Palmer, one 10/one 8 or even double 6s alongside Caicedo. Lavia could easily become this player apart from the offensive side, but then he can't get more than 3 games before he breaks down.

This is why I now concede we have a personnel problem this season.

The problem we have now is that it's all gone extremely political. Owners want to save face and act like all their decision-making have turned out correct. They employ a manager who's expected to toe the line, follow the narrative and protect the value of the asset.

I say Maresca should say phuck it, I changed my mind. I do it my way, or I walk. But Maresca is not Poch in profile. Poch can easily walk into a top four job in any league in the world, whereas it is a one-in-life-time opportunity for Maresca. So he can't just say phuck it.

The problem is the owners.
Enjoyed reading this analysis, top notch

Yes I said this some other time. As much as we like to heap the blame on the coach and the players

We are not serious as a club and the management is where the issue stems from

Buying of fringe players when we need established ones has to stop

That's why i called him a fvcktard.

He missed a striker that failed to score in his last 8 matches, with basket full of big chances missed.
Like the basket of Chances he missed yesterday?

Continue protecting your useless wingers

Like it was not yakubu minteh , a winger that dropped two goals on our heads
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by drisham(m): 7:50am On Feb 15, 2025

The structure of the team is weak. Enzo/Caicedo is a weak midfield. Palmer is a 10. That leaves just Caicedo trying to Marshall all the opposition running at our goal. Which is one of the reasons why we must invert.

The board made a bad gamble on Enzo, and insist that that investment must not go to waste. Maresca must man up, drop Enzo and fortify that midfield. Unfortunately though, we sent Andrey and Ugochukwu out. Andrey would have been a brilliant option to have now.

On top of this we have extremely unproductive wingers. If you have weak wingers, then we are not scoring, and we become easy to shut down as a whole team.

Last season I said we had a tactical problem. This season, we have a personnel problem.
I'm glad you're being honest with this egbon and not defending as usual

But did you consider this when you said
