True..you can clearly see the android one branding on the plus package while it being absent on the x series.but I think it's the plust that gives room for more ram..for example the x5 comes with 3gb ram;32gb ROM while the 5.1plus comes in two variant a 3gb as well as a 4gbram with 64gb storage

but it's not the same with the X6 and 6.1plus. X6 have the 6gb ran version while 6.1plus is just with the 4gb. Maybe the ram variation isn't dependent on the series. I stand corrected.

For those of you that do not know the difference between the Nokia x series and the plus, let me make it clear. The nokia X series(x5, x6, x7) does not come with android one. That means no frequent security update and no update to a higher android version. Although the x series gives room for bigger ram option the plus doesn't. the android one program is the major difference between nokia x version and the nokia plus.

Hey.. i am an extreme introvert. Peoples first impression about me is either pride or 'forming'. This is not so, i actually yearn to show mad love to people and connect. I also feel limited most times. Having potentials and not being able to fully implement it in the society because i don't want to get noticed or fear of embarrassment. I always feel empty because i am most times alone. i have decided to accept my fate and get used to being reserved. Introverted nature helps me reflect on things, but i want to live a normal live too. This has driven me into depression and sometimes i have suicidal thoughts. This is not a cry for help. I just need answers, solutions, prayers, literally anything at all. Extreme introverts are mostly depressed.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN NIGERIA

Domestic violence is an act of physical, verbal, sexual, religious and mental intimidation and abuse mostly in a home between husband and wife. Children and relatives living in the same home can also be victims of this act. Women are generally the major victim of domestic violence in Nigeria. This act often occurs when the abuser believes the abuse is an entitlement, acceptable, justified, or unlikely to be reported. Most communities in Nigeria blame women as the cause of domestic violence. They claim women who nag, challenges her partner, cheats or disobey deserves such treatment. Often time’s women who are victims of this act are silent and remain in their homes for the sake of their children, religious stance about marriage, no other source of income asides her partner, hope for change or just the fear of a broken home. Although men are also victims but they are more likely to take action than women. Men are mostly victims of verbal and emotional abuse. Children on the other hand subtly suffer from domestic violence from both sexes. Although parents and guardians often feel it’s a correction process or a way of training a child and as such never overlook the pain and suffering of that child. Written below are a few outlined forms of domestic violence in Nigeria.

Physical abuse: This form of violence involves direct physical contact intended to cause fear, pain, injury, other physical suffering or bodily harm. The most common forms of physical violence include rape, violent use of objects, acid attacks, slapping and kicking. Denying medical care, sleep deprivation, and forced drug or alcohol use, are also forms of physical abuse. Some of the reasons that were given for physical abuse include drunkenness, financial issues, and the rejection of a partner’s sexual advances. Physical abuse often leads to death or permanent disfiguration and health issues.



Sexual abuse: Sexual abuse can be defined as an undesired sexual advance by one person upon another. Sexual abuse can be physical or verbal. When the abuse is physical, it is often referred to as sexual assault or molestation. Physical sexual abuse can be rape, groping, and barbaric non-consensual display during intercourse amongst others. Sexual violence in Nigeria largely goes unreported because of the burden of proof necessary for conviction as well as the social stigma it brings. Nigerian police have not been seen to arrest for sexual assault resulting to less reporting of the act. Incest, or sexual contact between an adult and a child, is one form of domestic sexual abuse. In some cultures, there are ritualized forms of child sexual abuse taking place with the knowledge and consent of the family, where the child is induced to engage in sexual acts with adults, possibly in exchange for money or goods.



Emotional abuse: This is an act that includes confinement, isolation, verbal assault, humiliation, intimidation, or any other treatment which may diminish the sense of identity, dignity, and self-worth. Emotional abuse which is physiological can happen to anyone at any time in their lives. Children, teens and adults all experience emotional abuse. Emotional abuse can also have devastating consequences on relationships on all those involved. Just because there is no physical mark doesn’t mean the abuse isn’t real and isn’t a problem or even a crime. Forms of emotional abuse may include threats, humiliation, isolation, ignoring, insults and mockery. Victims tend to feel their partner has nearly total control over them, greatly affecting the power dynamic in a relationship, empowering the perpetrator, and disempowering the victim. Victims of emotional abuse often suffer from a high level of depression, putting them at increased risk of eating disorder, suicide, drug and alcohol abuse.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN NIGERIA

Women empowerment is the liberation of women from the vicious grips of social, economic, political, station and sex based separation. It implies allowing women the opportunity to settle on life decisions. Women empowerment does not signify 'worshipping women rather it implies supplanting male centric society with equality.

Women empowerment in Nigeria ought to be a procedure of authorizing women into the heirs of the society. This is not only subjected to the north as other parts of Nigeria do engage in this practice. Religion and Tradition are two of the major factors that make up the society. If proper sensitization can begin from that helm, the fight for women empowerment will be won already.

3 | Encourage employers to hire inclusively

Organisations must see human effectiveness and not gender as a basis for employment. Both women and men deserve a fair chance to compete for positions in a particular system without giving preferential treatment to any gender. We must create awareness about the potential of women in the workplace. Study shows that women are more liable to soak in more pressure than men. I suggest employers should have that in conducting interviews. Also, when it comes to unskilled labour, men are more prioritized based on their physical strength. This shouldn’t be the case as most unskilled women could engage in those activities.

4 | Pass a gender equality law

Every land is governed by laws and as such the gender equality should be passed into laws to not only encourage women, but to impose their rights on the people. Legislation – such the gender and equal opportunities bill (GEOB) – would go a long way in addressing some of the discrimination that women face. It would address the issues of inheritance rights and property/land ownership amongst other factors. Tough penalties should be put in place to enforce those laws.

4 | Get women access to capital

Women run 30% of all registered businesses worldwide, yet roughly 10% of women entrepreneurs have access to the capital they need to grow. Partnerships are crucial, mobilising the skills and resources of public and private sectors creates a bigger impact than working in isolation. It’s not enough to simply teach women about financial literacy; financial service providers must offer the right kind of products and services that women seeking for capital would need. And of course the right legislation is critical for women to have land rights, collaterals and access to loans.

5 | End violence against women at home and work

Domestic violence against women at home and in their work place should be something that should be seriously frowned at. Sometimes, women face challenges at their homes when they earn higher than their spouses. Most people perceive women should never level up to men in certain areas and as such this has set an embargo on women. Most offices put women on a generally low salary budget on like men and also consider them sexual advantage to lure clients to their business. Cooperate and other business organizations should adapt policies that ensure the proper well-being of every woman in their system.

6 | Teach boys to respect women
There’s a long-term role that parents must participate in to ensure their sons have adequate morals concerning women. This is the first step for brewing the generation ahead to scrub this mind-set targeted towards women. When boys learn to give women due respect at their young age, it helps set the society in the right path. Also, this will ease the burden set on government and other agency fighting for the liberation of women.

BULLYING IN SCHOOLS


Many children who are being bullied are afraid to speak out. They are scared of reprisals if they tell someone. As young people grow older, they are less likely to tell someone. They become more isolated, depressed and in extreme cases can harm themselves or attempt suicide. Bullying in schools can be as a result of racial/tribal differences, Physical features, illness/disability, religious or cultural beliefs and a host of others. Very often, bullies themselves suffer from low self-esteem and lack of confidence. They may suffer violence at home, may be reacting to painful changes in their lives, for example, bereavement or divorce. Lack of proper attention is another factor that causes this behavior and so they may want to seek attention or appear in control. If you think your child might be a bully it is important to recognize this and help him or her to deal with it. No child is born a bully and as such no child should be a victim of it. Good parental care, training and morals is the first step to put this problem in check.

Women empowerment is the emancipation of women from the vicious grips of social, economical, political, caste and gender-based discrimination. It means granting women the freedom to make life choices. Women empowerment does not mean ‘deifying women’ rather it means replacing patriarchy with parity. In this regard, there are various facets of women empowerment, such as given hereunder:—

Human Rights or Individual Rights: A woman is a being with senses, imagination and thoughts; she should be able to express them freely. Individual empowerment means to have the self-confidence to articulate and assert the power to negotiate and decide. Human right is not and cannot be gender based.

Social Women Empowerment A critical aspect of social empowerment of women is the promotion of gender equality. Gender equality implies a society in which women and men enjoy the same opportunities, outcomes, rights and obligations in all spheres of life.

Educational Women Empowerment It means empowering women with the knowledge, skills, and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. It means making women aware of their rights and developing a confidence to claim them.

Economic and occupational empowerment It implies a better quality of material life through sustainable livelihoods owned and managed by women. It means reducing their financial dependence on their male counterparts by making them a significant part of the human resource.

Legal Women Empowerment It suggests the provision of an effective legal structure which is supportive of women empowerment. It means addressing the gaps between what the law prescribes and what actually occurs.

Political Women Empowerment This will involve the establishment of a political system favoring the participation in and control by the women of the political decision-making process and in governance.
