Is it okay to install the latest rom for a redmi device right on top of months old rom. I want to install the miui 12 rom with Android 10 on my device that's currently running miui 11 with Android 9. Size is about 2gb. Will there be any implication?

Get a xiaomi phone. They offer better value for money with a better operating system and camera. Not to mention Snapdragon processors which are better than Nokia's mediatek in that price range.
