I think Rohr should resolve the deadball issue. Kelechi iheanacho should take any freekick or corner kick from the right. then V Moses(in the absense of S Moses) takes freekicks from the left but Mikel should take all corner kicks on the left. Moses has been really wayward with freekicks and corner kicks, he should quit being a big boy and relinquish such responsibilities to capable hands. Finito!

. I disagree with him on poland lacking energy. Infact poland was so energetic and brutal that i almost thought we were playing an African side, in addition they had too many playerd behind the ball and that affected our counter attacking football. Anytime Nigeria countered, the bulluish polish fouled us. tbh with you, both teams played well amd it was a great result for Nigeria. Poland was very technical despite not been blessed with so many world class players. Mikel would have been a spark for us, hope he will play Serbia?

Rohr what's happening? why allow Moses play free kicks when Iheanacho is available. Moses is trash mehn.

The super eagles definitely need/deserve better scouting what are Elderson, Omeruo, Stephen Eze, doing in a friendly 2 months to the world cup?

In a country with a population of over 170million. Is that the best we can offer? What a shame? Kelechi and Iwobi should have started from the bench. This is the time to invite and test more players did nigerian's know Ebuehi or Idowu were good enough unit they were invited and tested.

One would expect Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis (WF, CF),Cyriel Dessers (WF , CF) , Derik Osede (DC), K.Otigba (DC), Fanendo Adi (CF, ST), Azubuike Okechukwu (AM, MC), Sunday Stephen (DM, MC) (whom benched iniesta at spain U19, U20, U21), Ryan Sanusi and of course the (king) Simon Kalu (AM, WF).

Thank God Mikel Agu was not invited his intercepts are so low and man marking so poor, for a centeral or defending midfilder. Rohr wants to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, but he has never invited a center forward (CF). If he takes this squad to the world cup Nigeria would be disgraced.

If Olarenwaju Kayode was continually called up to the Super Eagles without having a single shot on target then Fanendo Adi (Adi was signed permanently by the Portland Timbers on 23 June 2014. Where he became the club's fourth ever Designated Player) (Google Designated Player if you do not know the meaning) would do better.

Even Anthony Nwakeme would do better, if given more call-ups, He is so good at the Europa League.

Or is it Ighalo that would lead Nigeria to the Quarterfinal? Impossible.

Remember in 2014 Nigeria was the lowest scoring team in qualifying, and scoring was a big problem at the world cup. That is likely to repeat itself.

The midfield and the attack (NO.9) are Super Eagle's weakest links.
Ok sir

Wow. Some of the things you read on this forum! Pls can you show me the posts where a lot of people were against Joel Obi's call up? On the contrary what me and many other knowledgeable members of this forum kept saying is that Joel Obi is our best midfielder but have been hindered by injuries. You guys should quit fabrications here because that's very annoying!

O pari
. lemme hear word! Some monikers here were against the ideal of Joel Obi's call up for several reasons. Some team cohesion and chemistry, while so many others for injury. I can remember someone saying Joel Obi can even get injured in an airplane on his way to russia. some others caller him waste of slot. although nobody denied that he is not good but sir you never said Joel Obi is our best midfielder. so he's now better than Mikel abi. Why are you pained if you ain't part of them?? I'm even sure you're among! you think i have the time to be digging out old comments, when I'm still struggling to catch up with new posts.

But wait ooh! i was just wondering, since Poland's home kit is white nd red. Does it mean the super eagles will wear the all green away jesery for easy distinction or the home kit. personally i would like the see then in the home kits.

Forgiveness is right. Alot of people kicked against Joel Obi's call up.. some citing injury while others maintained that his inclusion might affect the high team spirit and bonding.

Joel Obi is not Lionel Messi and try to understand my comment cos i rate Joel highly and watched him closely this season as a fan and i know what am saying or do you think Rohr rate Joel than Onazi?
. I get your point sir! Who Rohr rates is not exactly my issue, it's crystal clear Joel Obi is more creative and a better passer of the ball with better football IQ than both Onazi and Ogu. so why pin him to the bench because he's new. is this his first appearance in gwg? if not injury, who is Ogu where Joel is? And will he blend effectively with the team if he doesn't get to play in these friendlies. Remember this is a possible replacement for Mikel. God forbid, Mikel picks an injury, is it then you would start interegrating him into the team?

This is simple Joel Obi is coming newly into the team and as it now we have Mikel,Ndidi,Onazi,Ogu,Etebo even Agu ahead, his performance in GWG would do the talking not Torino performance.

He has work to do to displace the aforementioned midfielders who are not new to Rohr and to be candid Ogu and Etebo need to sit tight cos Joel has all it require to displace them.
. Lol Joel Obi is more creative than all of them, and a better all round player than Onazi and Ogu. you wouldn't bench a new comer messi for example, in our team because he needs to prove himself in gwg. na beans him dey pick for him Torino?

. Yes, we can do very well without Moses. se na those rubbish when him dey play for Chelsea recently? I noticed he even hardly had a rapport with team members in camp each time he is on international duty. I wonder how he manages to chun out good performances in the GWG.

Las Palmas Star Etebo Misses Poland-Nigeria Friendly, Hopes To Join Super Eagles In London
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Las Palmas midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo will not be available for selection for Nigeria's second pre-World Cup friendly against Poland at the Municipal Stadium in Wrocław.

As everyone is aware, the central midfielder did not make Las Palmas's match day squad against Deportivo La Coruna after failing a fitness test hours leading up to the game at Estadio Municipal de Riazor.

Etebo was substituted at half-time against Villarreal after suffering discomfort in the quadriceps muscle and radiological tests last Thursday revealed that there was no breakage in the damaged area.

However, Las Palmas medical team recommended that he should stop all sporting activities this week, which has effectively ruled him out of the Super Eagles friendly against Poland.

The CD Feirense loanee has given his word that he will join his international teammates in London this weekend, in time for the friendly vs Serbia at the Hive Stadium on March 27.

This recent development will be a big blow to Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr, who is also sweating on the fitness of another midfielder called up, Torino's Joel Obi, ahead of the two friendlies.

I dont know what you guys are trying to get at.... But it is clear that Leicester conceeded because of Mahrez. Nacho gave him a pass (after winning the ball off two players) and yes it was slightly behind Mahrez, Mahrez still got the ball under control and had the choice to go wide right instead of trying to do a maradona when surrounded by three players. Iheanacho was in position and keeping himself onside and an further step from him will be offside.... So the fault is on Mahrez.

So after Mahrez lost the ball, the ball was fed to William and Ndidi had the chance to stop him but he was afraid of the card so he kinda let William thru and viola! William picked out Morata with a beautiful thru pass and morata just did the rest one on one with Schmeichel....

Gbam! So Nacho has no fault in this at all. If for say I no dey watch naa, I go just dey hear this one today. Na wa ooo
. I tire for all of them oooh. Thesame match I'm watching with my two eyes.

It can be ridiculous to you but that's my opinion based on their performance in Eagles and Omeruo getting loans should not be the yardstick in this case.

I watched Awaziem against South Africa in 4-3-3 formation and he struggle all through and had a performance that should be forgotten but watching him against Argentina especially in the 2nd half in 3-5-2 the guy looked solid and fit in,

I think those who are of opinions that Shehu is good at 4-4-2 and Ebuhei at 3-5-2 are using Super eagles to analyse it and not their club cos not everyone has access to their club clips,so they have a very valid point until Ebuhei prove them wrong in 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation.

If you don't rate Omeruo no issue cos it's your opinion which i must respect and i think my opinion too should be respected.

This is football thread and not necessarily to be on the same page cos we always view it in different ways.
. I ain't fighting you Mr. i only challenged your opinion though i respect it cause i ain't gonna bully you to change it. And how can you use Awaziem first match in GWG to judge that he's not good in a 4man defence system?? you know the pressure involved in first experiences. Again stop it, don't tell me Ebuehi is not good in a 4 man defence when he hasn't played in such set in super eagles. are players not meant to take their club positions in the national team set up. Sorry if you misunderstood my comments earlier, i have nothing against you. we are just sharing ideals here.

But chairman, omeruo is not dt bad, going out on loan from a prestige club like Chelsea is a norm. At least,it took moses four seasons,b4 he could cement a first team place, besides playing for Chelsea means u av to attain some certain football IQ level,if omeruo is dt bad,he won't be recognized at all,let alone of given him a contract extension by a year(till 2019).meaning,dey still believe in him.he might have dropped in form in recent times, doesn't mean he can't pick up his best again wink
. so are you trying to tell me Omeruo is better than Awaziem?? same Omeruo i knowhuh

please, I cannot say for Omeruo, but Shehu Abdullahi is not a below average player.

The guy has earned his stripes in Rohr's Super Eagles set up, he deserves his respect. Just because Ebuehi has been unearthed, does not mean we should bury Shehu who has put in a great amount of service in recent times

Let us stop dragging one player to exalt the other
. yes, you're right. Shehu is not below average infact he did very well at WCQ, that statement was meant specifically for Omeruo. i only called Shehu because as an example how people claim some players are better in a 4 mans defence meanwhile Ebuehi had not been given a chance to prove hie mettle.

Yes you are spot on on Balogun but i believe a fit Balogun is a better choice and also Omeruo i knew should be in 23 man squad cos in 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 Omeruo is better than Awaziem but in 3-5-2 I will go for Awaziem.

Good to for us that we have options for our different formations and hope to see a very fit defenders at WC.

Oh Echiejele only sentiments will take him to WC,nothing more cos no short cut to performance in football cos we have been saying it that he has lost his form but some argued it but what are we seen now with his club performance, poor form.
. It pisses me when i read comments like this "Omeruo is better than Awaziem in a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation but Awaziem is better in a 3-5-2 formation" on what basis do you people come about such ridiculous fact? Thesame Omeruo that keeps going from one loan move to another, better than Awaziem that is doing very fine in French League 1? That's how some said here that Shehu is better than Ebuehi in 4 man defence but Ebuehi is better in a 3 man defence, as if the former is player in a 4 man defence at his club. Make una no dey give excuses for all these below average players abeg. Omeruo my foot!
