So everything PUNCH says is true?
I'm telling you £3500 is underpriced for such hospital.
I know hospitals not in the category of that hospital which are more expensive.

Who is spreading this fake news. There's no way that hospital will cost £3500 per day. Cheaper private hospitals cost more.
This is even close to what NHS ( Public) charge private patients.

Zlantan is a very bad friend.
If truly they are friends, a weighty allegation was placed on your friend and you were a eye witness but you refused to clear the air and keep the record straight.

Even if not immediately, at least after the tension was a doused, he should have told Nigerians what he saw.

God keep such friends away from us

PS:
For Nigeria to move forward, the first step is to reform the national assembly.
360 house of representative members and 109 senators making a total of 469 thieves.
A former CBN governor stated that about 25 percent of Nigerian wealth goes to the national assembly.
The amount that goes into constituency projects that are not executed can build a standard hospital each year. Let's not talk about their multiple allowances.
We don't need that high numbers in the national assembly.
The house of representative should be scrapped and only senate left. 2 members each from a state and one from the FCT should be recognized. Hence a total of 73 senators which is enough to make laws.
And that post should go to people with minimum of PhD and should be on a part time basis.
No salary or allowances but they should be paid only when they sit.

But trust me, this law can never be passed by these legislootors because it's against their selfish interests.
Solution: Nigerian youths have to take back their country when they are ready

Broaden the question to accommodate other commodities.

enambobo:
Complications for consent not granted by the family. Even if the court grants it, you're still involved if they sue. You took the mater to court yourself. What the court just did is a breach of human right and can be countered by a higher court. The court has no right to decide medical issues for the family. They are other safer ways of treating people without blood but they forced their opinion on the family.

Allow the family chose their type of complications to deal with.
The court has no right to decide medical issues for the family? That is the law of the country. How can you say your wish is above the law? That's really funny. Adults have the right to decide anything for themselves, but it's different for children.
Blood transfusion remains the most sensible and safest means. I work for one of the best medical establishments in the world and that is the stance.

Please look beyond religion and face reality. Even the doctrine was a misinterpretation of the holy book

Be ready to take care of the complications too should it go south. Cos the parents have the right to sue you for going against their wish and putting them in a mess of taking care of complications.
Speak less of topics you don't know much about. There are complications to every procedure. As far as consent has been sought, the doctor is not liable to any complications that arise. In this case, the consent has been given by the law court. They can go ahead to sue the court if they wish. They will still lose.

This is a landmark judgment. I wish the court can be this decisive and clear for political matters
It's not actually. It's an existing law that have been used by doctors to save the lives of children whom can not consent for themselves and the parents' decision deemed irrational.

If you have a patient with such parents, seek a court order and you can carry on with the treatment against the patents' wishes

Christianity EtcRe: Can Christian Brothers Plait Or Colour Their Hair? by drlaykay(m): 4:51pm On Jan 28, 2025
oroje1:
If you're referring to the bible.then u must know that love of God should be stronger in the Sense that you must obey him..take a look at 1Cor 11:14 and 1 Tim.2:9,10.at 1Tim the Bible was talking to women but the principle equally applies to Christian men.so if a woman is to be modest and Goldy in her appearance how much the men too.take a keen look at the verse 10...my dear, there are things that are of the world and there are things that are Christlike in line with the bible, learn to separate the lines.the 2 don't mix,
How do you define the things that are of the worldly? You don't do that based on cultural or human acceptance because the criteria might chance from person to person or community to community. To determine modesty in dressing, apply the principle of love... If you are not modest in dressing, i.e you are dressing seductively, opening parts of your body parts that should be covered, then you are tempting your male neighbour. That is against the law of love which says love your neighbour. If you love your neighbour, you won't put them into temptation.

Plaiting of hair is just fashion. Because it was only seen amongst female in Nigeria, it was deemed inappropriate for male to do. Humans were designed by God to have different preferences. God himself made some people have curly hair, some long hairs etc.
Let me give you this example, Calabar people kill and eat dogs at will but a white man will see the act as wicked and stupid. It doesn't make it sin.

Have you asked yourself why plaiting of hair is sin for men and not sin for women? And you will respond by saying society. Societies do not determine God's ways because each society preferences are unique. And there are no gender specific sin.
Christianity EtcRe: Can Christian Brothers Plait Or Colour Their Hair? by drlaykay(m):
Babinski:
Sin does not necessarily equate to immorality and vice versa. What is moral or not is determined by the community or society you find yourself.
There are no different standards for trial by God. What is a sin, is a sin. God does not judge people differently. Because the western world embraced homosexuality does not make it not a sin. People don't set the standard, God does. And what is the standard? According to Jesus, the standard is love. 1. Love the Lord with all your heart 2. Love your neighbour as yourself. Those two commandments are all encompassing. It's a superset of the 10 commandments. So ask yourself, how does plaiting of the hair violate the love for God and that of your neighbour.

Some communities do not see premarital sex as immoral. Also in some communities, giving a wife for sex to enteetain guests is not seen as immoral. Yet all these are sins before God.
You contradicted yourself here. That's why I said that God is the standard and not the society. Adultery and fornication is a sin.

Sin is disobedience to God and not dependent on morality or immorality as defined by men. Plaiting your hair as a man or coloring it as a man or woman can be a sin before God.
Did you say "CAN be sin before God?" You need to be definite in your assertion so we know where you stand. I have told you the standard for measurement of sin according to the Bible so you don't need to use human reasoning based on broad acceptance of behaviour.

Furthermore, Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:23 and 1 Corinthians 6:12 that all things are permissible to me but not all things are profitable to me. Genuinely born again Christians are God's Children, Joint Heirs of the Kingdom with Christ and soldiers in God's Army. Anything capable of being an impediment in their journey with God should be avoided.
I love this verse you quoted. It even sheds more light to it. It might not be a sin but it has no benefit. That's the summary of the verse you wrote. Just like plaiting of hair will not add value to you, yet it is not a sin. Most of these standards are eroding that's another confirmation that it's manmade and not God's doing. Before today, Deeper life members don't watch television. They tagged it immoral and a sin. Today, the general overseer has corrected that doctrine. Before now, there's stereotype about dreadlocks, now it's being accepted. God does not change, only humans do. Sin is sin. Something couldn't be a sin years back and stopped being sin today.

Can you imagine Prince William colouring his hair, making tattoos and carrying weave-on? Of course you cannot because it would be a ridicule to the British Crown. Now imagine the children of the Most High whose Kingdom is not even comparable to the British Crown seeking to live their lives anyhow and emulate the lives of unbelievers so that there is hardly any distinction between them?
These are standards set by humans for themselves. Catholic priests do not get married, Pentecostal pastors do. Such standard upheld by Catholic priest does not make others who do not conform to it sinners.

For those who want to do all things while claiming to be Born Again Christians, how profitable are those things to you in your journey with Christ? Would you rather run your race with encumbrances that make you feel good or forgo them as a soldier limiting baggage so you can make good speed?
Plaiting your hair to many is just like having a good haircut and not in anyway an encumbrance. In this category is excessive paying attention to your hairdo to the extent that it limits you from doing the things of Christ can be an encumbrance. Just like money is not but the love of money is.

There is no culture in which men plait their hair, except the Satanic cult. Is it German culture, French culture, English culture, Chinese customs, Fulani culture or Igbo culture?

Remove this nonsense you posted before 5 market days so that Ogun no go strike you
A simple Google search would have saved you from self disgrace. Saying something wrong confidently without making the simplest of research. There are lots of cultures where men plait hair.
The commandments you need to keep are
1. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart
2. Love your neighbour as yourself.
If anything you do, doesn't violate these commandments, it's not a sin

And if I come from one of those cultures in the Amazon in South America where we practice cannibalism, even after becoming a Christian I should continue because thats my culture abi?
Some cultures can practise wrong things but it's easier to decipher what's wrong from what is not.
God gave us the 10 commandments and even when Jesus came and was asked which is the greatest commandant he said "Love".
Love the Lord your God and love your neighbour as yourself. These two commandments summarise the 10 commandments.
Now the point is, cannibalism or other harmful cultural practices are directly against the commandments. You are not showing love to your neighbour whom you've killed for food.
Apply the principle of love in anything you do and you can tell if it's a sin or not
Christianity EtcRe: Can Christian Brothers Plait Or Colour Their Hair? by drlaykay(m): 7:55am On Jan 26, 2025
Stop misleading people with Bible verses that do not conform to the subject matter. There's nothing immoral about plaiting your hair or looking good in general.

This is mainly a cultural thing and your lack of exposure to other cultures has beclouded your judgement skills.
