Kizzygentle:It's no lamba mate, depression knows no affluence. It's even more amongst the rich because they aren't used to being broke and when they become broke, it's difficult for their minds to handle it. |
codemaniacs:Like I said the chances that the girl is lying is extremely high. However, you just did the same thing MTN staff did to me. Around 2015, I recharged #2700 in bits, 750, 200, 400 . The seller didn't have the bigger vouchers. After recharging, I dialled a code used for my regular data. Back then 2500 was for 4.5gig (3gig day and 1.5gig night and was the best offer). After dialling the code around 7pm, I expected the plan to be activated and I should start browsing. Instead, 2500 was deducted leaving 200 naira in my account and the data was not given. I did all the hard rest and it didn't work. I called them that night and they said I only recharged 200 naira and that 2500 was not reflecting in their system. I thought the lady was just saying nonsense. The next day, I went to a small MTN outlet inside LUTH where I was working. I spoke with the guy therehe opened his system and saw that I only recharged 200 naira and called me a liar. After close of work before reaching home, I went to a bigger MTN branch close to my house and still only ₦200 was reflecting on the system. That night around 9pm, I called customer care again and behold I was told 1200 was reflecting on the system. The next morning I went back to the MTN outlet at work and met the same guy who checked again and saw 1700. The guy felt stupid and apologized to me for his previous day behavior. It took over 48hrs for the system to completely update the full 2700. Still it was difficult to give me my money because their system wasn't still signifying a failed transaction. It took close to 2 weeks before I finally got refunded after back and forth in their office. In fact, a lady just had to credit me and I believe it's from her personal account after it was becoming embarrassing to her. So if you haven't experienced something, please don't outrightly call people liars. Give a little room for technical error. |
Neoteny7:I believe she did it to deceive her parents into believing she scored high. She never envisaged all the paparazzi that will follow. But the parents being quite exposed decided to pursue the privileges that accompany such feat. And of course, the beginning of the doom. JAMB had done their investigation before calling her out and whatever investigations will be done further will still be around what JAMB did. Her coming back to admit that she scored 249 means she isn't sure of herself. There's no exam I have written that I won't tell you what my score range will be after the exam. 362 to 249 is a very huge gap. Deserving students will insist 249 was a wrong score and insist on writing again. Anyone who listened to the JAMB spokesman can tell she was lying. And the questions are why is she the only one who experienced that glitch? Why was the name not different or the examination number or the subject combination. Why was it only the scores that changed and the total score was accurate? However, I have also been a victim of system malfunctioning twice with MTN where I was called a liar because their system presented something else. The second time, I was exonerated after two days, as the system updated itself. So, glitches can happen. |
Cromagnon:It won't be this publicly displayed. This sounds like a norm |
My concern is what the money is to be used for. More like robbing palms kind of money. The body responsible for accreditation should be responsible for its team's transportation, feeding, logistics and the likes. All these system practised in Nigeria is funny. I stand to be corrected |
If he can prove he actually didn't hurt the cat I don't think there should be much to drag on the issue. If he held a human like that for the purpose of acting, he wouldn't be held in custody. As far as it's acting, and the animal was not hurt in anyway, my opinion suggests that he didn't do any wrong and should be freed. Next time, he should always give a disclaimer before hand that the said animal was not injured and no cruelty was melted on it. |
blackgold2018:Don't let me continue to kindle you with attention. I will only advise that you work hard and be successful, Many years later come back here and thank me when you become a better person. Again let me remind you, not everyone is a lowlife. |
blackgold2018:Why are you guys so uncultured? Can you dare say this to me when you meet me in person? Why can't you be civil and address people with contrary opinions with respect or simply stroll past their comments. Even the British government, world bank, renowned economics worldwide who applauded the policies are fools right? And you are the only sensible ones. Even Peter Obi that I'm sure your support proposed the same thing during his campaign. Why can't you guys just look beyond political affiliations, tribe, hatred and purge yourself of every bile you have accumulated internally. And please work hard and do good for yourself. Success comes with some form of civility. A successful man won't address someone else this way. Work hard. |
This isn't "slightly". Although we expect it to take time before the effect will be fully felt. This daily updates isn't doing much. |
Someone said Buhari didn't bother plucking any fruits. People get bad mouth sha ![]() |
Dancebreaker:That is true, however many Yoruba kingdoms have more than one ruling house. Like about four families having equal stake to the throne. Those families, when traced are almost always from one source (an ancient king with many wives). But the truth is that inasmuch as the governor has the power to overturn the decision of the kingmakers owing to their constitutional power, it very rarely happens. As for Edo state, a crazy governor can dethrone the Oba. He will lose the support of the people definitely judging by how revered the king is but he has done whatever he wants to do and has the backing of the constitution. A new governor might return things to status quo if he so wishes. The fact that it hasn't happened doesn't mean it's not possible. Remember, nobody is above the constitution and politicians can't be trusted. They are very selfish with ambitions. That's why Wike was seen backlashing some kings. We all doubted Ganduje until he was consumed by the power he possessed and rained terror on the emirate. Although unlike Sanusi, the oba of Benin stays neutral in politics and as a result, such fate is far from the throne. I hope I'm clear |
Obas are chosen by kingmakers who follow the directives of the ifa and the tradition. However, the Nigeria constitution has given final approval to the governor. Now the twist is this, once the kingmakers present their choice to the governor, it could be overturned by the governor. And many Nigerian governors, being the politicians that they are, they often politicize the process ruling against people who they believe are political enemies. They might ask the kingmakers to make a different choice for political reasons. Aside that, they go with the choices of the kingmaker. |
Of course, it's not expected to soar in the beginning but later on, it will. |
Daguga:My response was not based on this particular comment. You can go through his profile and see the hateful and tribalistic comments. There's nothing like standing on truth in a tribalistic person wishing harm on people who do not share same political opinion as his. You can speak and stand for the truth without being hateful. For the records, I supported Obi too but I always tell people I'm not Obidient because of the way they go about things. Let's be tolerant of others irrespective of what they believe. The creator created us with diversity in mind, so it should be respected. There are many like him, I singled him out because I have known him to be a sweet person and I don't want him to become hateful all because of politics. |
OkukoIgbo:I have observed him for a while being tribalistic and filled with hateful speeches. Not even because of this particular post. There are many like him, but I only chose to advise him because I know who he was before now. For you have accused me of what I'm not and you have ridiculed the peace I preach. You have attempted to curse who never wish others including you evil. As a result of this, you cease to become human, every curse you said to me becomes yours and your generation in ten folds. The curses in the bible from this minute become yours and the blessings reign far from you. And as you strive to approach blessings, blessings shall move farther away from you. Everything blessed in your life shall begin to become cursed. Until you come to me to seek forgiveness and are truly forgiven, these shall be your portion. You will run from pillar to post and find no healing as you will be told you have crossed a deadly boundary. So shall it be! |
slawomir:You used to be sweet and humourous until you started the tribal and hateful slurs. Immediately, you became irritating and unattractive. Maintain your humor filled side and leave this disguising attitude for politicians who we all know directly benefit from tribal, religious and political divide. |
I don't have anything to say but I hope no one will table my story here. Well, I mean when I was a heartbreaking demon. Thank God for salvation ![]() |
We all wish him well. A good Nigeria benefits all But for me, it's the big jersey for the small man ![]() |
observanc1:Thanks, it was Freudian slip. I have been there a few times, and I can tell you my comment was not just based on this occurrence. |
Those immigration officers in passport office always want to intimidate people to demonstrate how powerful they are. They are bullies. Typical behaviour of Nigerian civil servants in position of power |
kingsceemark:I'm no low level like you please. Kindly assess well before you quote people. I'm not that person in your calibre. Look for someone in your ranks and do whatever you wish with them. |
Veteran? I don't know him. Whoever he is, happy birthday and I wish him growth in his aspiring career. |

Tntsi:It's very obvious that you didn't read the text that's why you didn't understand. The main people they plan to eliminate are people who are dead and some ghost voters who were criminally and unjustly registered. If you have dead people on the register, you are automatically leaving room for rigging. Politicians might take advantage of it. |
nedu666:let me educate you on how these things work in Lagos State. I have got experiences with buying lands. All land in Lagos were owned by different families. However, government has surveyed all the lands and they are planned. Government inform the families(omo onile) about which parts of their lands have been acquired for certain development( such as hospitals, schools, parks, airports, police stations, offices, major roads etc). Government leave the rest for them. These plans are given to the families and of course the government own copies too which the general populace are privy to. Now, what happens most times is that, the families who are most times greedy, after selling their lands, move to selling of government lands as well. Especially lands that its purposes are not yet defined by government. They know their limits but for greed, they won't. People who buy lands too can go verify from the government. And no government agency will advise you to buy such lands. The little twists is that, just as over 200 houses were spared according to the FAAN report, most times once people start building on such lands and the number of houses are quite numerous, government will call them for regularisation in order to let it go. Government won't want to demolish too many houses just to build offices or a recreation centre. This is why there are no enough recreation centres in Nigeria. Because the people know this, they ignore whatever the outcome of their verification might be, defile such warnings and go ahead to build. What people now do is to negotiate for cheaper prices since the land is not free of encumbrances. But sometimes, just in this case, government won't be able to look away citing risks and potential hazards as reasons. |
![]() These ones are not ready to fight. They should end the damn war abeg |
logicalhumour:People will just wake up one day and compose nonsense to be digested by the gullible |
CaptainFM1:You are very correct. Density of the fluid, which is a factor in determining it's mass and/or volume, has everything to do with the impurity of the liquid. But on a norm, we assume water is free of impurities unless told otherwise hence, my assertion. I also did not completely agree with the answer as the weight of an object can't be determined by just looking at it. One can't say because it's bigger, then it's of bigger weight. I only tried schooling the PatrickOkunima who knows a law but didn't attend the laboratory when it's application was being taught. Imagine him saying one can't convert mass to volume. He could as well be an art student who Google is helping to participate in an argument so as to feel important. Even the video he dropped, he doesn't understand it. |
PatrickOkunima:So you don't know you can convert weight to volume. That's where you are confused. If it states that mass will be displaced, you can get it's equivalence in volume(liquid). |
PatrickOkunima:Lol, you only know the law but you don't know it's application. That's simply Archimedes. An object will displace water of its own weight. This means if the weight of the object is 2g, 2g which also equals to 2mls of water, will be displaced. (i.e the water level will rise by 2mls when a 2g object is dropped in it) |
FalseProphet1:I like you and your niche of cruise, but no be everything we suppose dey take catch cruise. |
Tobijays:I can't pay that much for the junk taught in private universities. If the government must increase the fee, they must increase the standard. And you must also consider what the minimum wage, set by this same government is, in comparison to that of the UK. So if you can't pay your citizens well, you can't tax them high. It's simply a situation of you can't take what you aren't giving. The truth is most people who train doctors are doctors who work in the teaching hospital. The government pays them as health professionals then add meagre sum as teaching allowances. Bro, let government invest heavily in education and health care, doctors won't even think of leaving; at least, not emass. If they increase the fee to UK standard, everyone will go overseas for training rather than getting trained in Nigeria. |
