Joan011: Official: UPDATE ON 2017/18 NECO RESULT Please, If you know that you had sat for NECO 2017 (this year,), Just be patient dear and keep your fingers crossed. The result is about to be released. The information reaching TOJESUS has it that the examination's body has just started the final stage of the marking process. A stage called "Proof Marking". I was just told this morning by a reliable source, that the result will be released soonest. The result won't exceed 3rd week of this September, in order to allow candidates to make use of their results for 2017 admission processes. # MY ADVICE: If you know that you want to make use of this year's NECO for your POST UTME/screening registration of your chosen school, please just go ahead and pick their form and put "Awaiting Result". When the result is finally released, you can then upload yours in the school portal or present it during your admission clearance....simple! Don't be waiting for NECO result to be out first before you can register, because you might end up loosing the admission form. Putting "awaiting Result" does not stop you from being admitted. It's your POST UTME that will determine your admission. Success to you all.
Good evening all, that was posted on fb, please I want to ask is it possible to do what is suggested in this write up and also is it advisable to do so? bro that is a blatant lie.... I was at the neco office and I was told to expect the result before or on 15th :...... the papers are in minna for uploading..... stop posting fake news and also nothing like proof marking.....thanks |

DokitaDave: Hello Anonymous2001,
I just discovered you've been trying to quote me for some time now. I'm sorry I couldn't respond earlier, it didn't get to me well.
Now to your request please.
In your first year, you will take the following courses:
Course Code - Course Title - Number of units
1. CHE156 - Physical Chemistry - 4 2. GES107 - Reproductive Health: Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) - 2 3. PHY102 - Introductory Mechanics and Properties of Matter - 3 4. PHY103 - Introductory Heat and Thermodynamics - 3 5. ZOO114 - Principles of Cell Biology and Genetics - 2 6. ZOO116 - Introductory Invertebrate Zoology - 2
7. CHE126 - Inorganic Chemistry 1 - 3 8. CHE176 - Organic Chemistry 1 - 3 9. GES101 - Use of English - 3 10. PHY104 - Introductory Electricity and Magnetism - 3 11. 15. CHE191 - Practical Chemistry for 100 Level - 2 16. PHY118 - Experimental Physics 1 - 3 17. ZOO118 - Practical Zoology - 2
So, these are all the courses you (MBBS/BDS students) will take in year one. The first 6 course's are taken in the first semester, the next 8 are taken in the second semster while the last 3 are practicals and they span both the first and second semesters.
Now to course outlines, I will only give you the summarised outlines for the first semester courses please. By the time you resume, you would be familiar with the system, such that getting the outlines for the second semester courses won't be a problem.
CHE156 1. Oxidation and Reduction/Electrochemistry 2. Reaction Kinectics 3. Atoms, Molecules and Intermolecular Forces 4. Kinectics Theory 5. Thermochemistry, Spontaneous Processes and Equilibria 6. Acid, Base and Salts.
PHY102 1. Essential Mathematics 2. Dimensional Analysis 3. Vectors 4. Kinematics (Rectilinear, Projectile Motion, Uniform Circular Motion) 5. As regards recommended textbooks, here are my suggestions. But before I reel them out, know and understand VERY WELL that attending classes, your notes and available slides are the best tools you need mostly. Please note that very well.
CHE156 - Fundamental Physical Chemistry (Edited by Iweibo I., Okonjo K. & Obi-Egbedi N.)
PHY102 & PHY103 - Mechanics and Properties of Matter (by Idowu Farai) - College Physics - First Year University Physics, Volume 1 & 2 (both written by O. Ajaja & H. B. Olaniyi)
ZOO116 - Strictly your note
ZOO114 - I don't really have any textbook to recommend here because your note, slides and materials you can get online should be okay but some people use Campbell and Reece Biology textbook
GES107 - You will buy a textbook while doing your registration for this course. Trust me, that textbook is ALL you need, saving attending classes.
PS: All what I have written here are based on what is obtainable as at the 2016/2017 academic session.
For many of these courses, I have some slides and materials I can give that would definitely be of help. But that will surely be upon resumption.
I hope all these help. I can't wait to see you guys in UI! bro pls send what course are you doing...,. And pls can I have your phone number.,........ And are the materials and slides soft copies...... |
