Each time this president had needed to go on leave, he always made sure he did the right thing constitutionally by writing to the Senate to inform them of ceding power to his vice.

How this qualifies to what obtained during Yar'Adua is beyond any reasonably sane person. Yar'Adua did not officially cede power to his then vice GEJ and that created a vacuum. In this current situation, there is no vacuum at all.

Also, Yar'Adua was flown out in secrecy and later reported incapacitated. There is no a single indication that PMB is incapacitated other than he's seeing his doctors for some medical conditions. When has having medical issues become a reason/ground to impeach a president or call for his resignation? Is there anyone on this forum who is free of any medical issues?

Wailing with sense shouldn't be difficult, I think.

When PMB said that Yaradua should be impeached, GEJ was already an acting president just like Osinbajo is acting now. PMB asked the Senate to impeached Yaradua on the basis of his health status and long absence from duty. I voted for PMB and wish him quick recovery. But if his health get worse or Nigerians do not know
about his health status and is unable to resume duty in three month time, The constitution is clear. The FEC can declare him unfit and remove him.If the FEC refuse to do this, the Senate can remove the president on health ground. While we pray for PMB, we should also be conscious of the fact that Nigeria is greater than PMB.

Did Yar'Adua transfer power officially to GEJ? No, he didn't.

Is Buhari incapacitated as Yar'Adua was? No.

Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Emmanuel Chukwuma, has said President Muhammadu Buhari, is not capable to rule the country due to his age.

Chukwuma suggested that anyone above 60 years of age should not be allowed to rule the country.

Buhari, who was due to return to the country and resume work on Monday, extended his vacation in the UK over health related issue.

The Archbishop while fielding questions from newsmen on the cancelled return of the president, lamented that the nation is now in a comatose.

He said, “The present government came with the view to change things, but we are now facing challenges. The president started with enthusiasm but people are now disappointed. They have to agree that they have failed.[/s]

“I don’t pray that he should die. God should spare his life. Let him come back to continue from where he stopped.”

The cleric lamented that a government that is waging war on corruption is not living up to expectations, adding that corruption is even at its height now since the people in government go abroad for medical treatment instead of strengthening the nation’s hospitals to perform optimally.

He added, “The people in government should not go for treatment abroad. It is a waste of resources and it is corruption.”

He noted that Buhari is too old to pilot the affairs of the nation and suggested that men above 60 years of age should not be allowed to be president. “Anybody over 60 should not be president.

”Buhari is too old and cannot carry on with the responsibility to lead. Let him come back and resign,’’ he said.

The president had done the honourable thing by handing over to his vice president. The acting president is now effectively in charge of the government and there is no power vacuum like the type that existed during the Yar'adua saga. At this point, we should be praying for him instead of all the unnecessary outcry.

1 : Increasing Nepa tariff and fuel price at the same time ,an action which immediately put pressure on the income of most Nigerians, a visionary President would have increased fuel prices and let Nepa Tariffs rest till the economy improves .

2: Implementing TSA at once instead of the staggered manner advised by those who brought about the idea ;;; By implementing it at once Buhari destabilized the banking sector which was meant to provide support to small and medium business at these times when oil prices had dropped

3: The MTN ridiculous fine : was another poorly thought out decisions,The Buhari govt fined MTN a ridiculous 5 billion dollars ,an action which immediately turned of FDI injection into Nigeria and triggered massive corporate capital flight out of Nigeria with some people putting the estimates at over 13 billion dollars :: the painful part is that Buhari didn't wnd up collecting the 5 billion dollars from MTN ..very poor decisions I must say

4: Declaring Tompolo wanted was another poor decision , a visionary leader would have waited till he had maximized his oil output in a period of low oil prices before trying to prosecute Tompolo , that action caused tension in the oil regions with Tompolo people bombing pipelines and furthering reducing output despite low oil prices , the action also slowed down foriegners capital investments from oil major who slowed down on any new capital expense till the tension had eased ..
