I am not trying to scare u but to urge you to visit a tertiary hospital asap. Delay is dangerous. Usually no doctor will call the police for this case cos it's already done. Save her life.

For those ignorant fellows saying they only respect surgeons, all specialities in medicine are important. And if u must know, the most intelligent doctors go into internal medicine and not surgery. But then we are Nigerians and almost always ignoramuses.

But why is it that the government and the local authorities have not up till now, wipe out all cultist group in the country?

Nigeria can not wipe out cultism because
1. A large number of our leaders were cultists in school
2. Many of those that were not school cultist joined one cult or the other when seeking for political posts e.g. ogboni
3. So many school cultists are in the armed forces, police, and other paramilitary organizations in Nigeria
4. The few that are real Christians and Muslims are so few that they can not do anything
5. The politicians need the cultists during elections to rig votes, cause mayhem etc.

According to you someone with cancer may not have any other ailment. Like someone with say malaria may never come down with typhoid? Cancer is not the only chronic ailment please. I really do not understand the press release by LUTH.

1- They said Mayowa is an old patient of theirs already on treatment for another ailment??

what i understood from this is that she was misdiagnosed and was treated for different ailment instead of cancer for a very long time.
The family discovered it was stage 4 cancer after getting diagnosis from another hospital.

2- This 31year-old lady came into the Private Wing of LUTH on Monday, 25th July, 2016 with a history and clinical features of an intra-abdominal mass. The family and the patient brought along some results of laboratory investigations ordered and done from outside LUTH.

They only knew she had cancer or "mass " after she was diagnosed by another hospital.

Why in the holy hell would the family continue treatment with luth if they weren't able to diagnose the right disease in the first instance?
Now they are saying they wanted to conduct another batch of test?? I believe this process will take another couple of months and its obvious every second is crucial for mayowa.

3- the family however requested to fly Miss Ahmed outside the country barely 24 hours after her admission in LUTH,
So, basically they have been treating her for a mis-dagnosed ailment for a long time and only admitted her after they came with test results from other hospitals.

Nigerian public hospitals are a disgrace.


Come on guys, let's be real here. Most of us will go above and beyond for the people we love. I wouldn't wait for any quack doctor in a public hospital to give me diagnosis before making my own moves.
