The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has debunked allegation that it was responsible for the current fuel scarcity in the country. The national operations controller, Mr Mike Osatuyi, said a statement to that effect was credited to Mr. Lawson Ngoa, who he described as an agent of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources brought in to mediate in the internal crisis of the association. “While the intervention of the minister of state for petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, in resolving the internal crisis in IPMAN is appreciated and commendable, the forefathers, past presidents, leaders of IPMAN and the general members of IPMAN nationwide will not allow Mr. Lawson Ngoa, who is not a marketer or an IPMAN member, to use IPMAN’s name as a shield to defend or protect a system failure of the NNPC. “It is pure defamation of IPMAN name to go on air that IPMAN has accepted the responsibility for the scarcity of petroleum products and that Nigerians should hold IPMAN responsible for the scarcity.” Recall that the minister of state for petroleum resources, Mr Ibe Kachikwu said queues would disappear from filling stations in Abuja and Lagos by today, April 6. But latest development has shown that the fuel queues will continue into the weekend. Although two new vessels, Mt. Mersk Kalea and Mt, Alizea, carring 21 million metric tonnes of petrol berthed at the Apapa jetty, a Punch newspaper report said ofloading and distribution will take another 3 or 4 days. “But discharge had not started because they have to determine those to get the product and they have to do all the formal documentation. There is still documentation for naval clearance; there is documentation for the DPR clearance; the DPR will also go on board since it is an imported vessel. “They cannot start to discharge now. The earliest time they can do that is probably tomorrow (Wednesday) night or Thursday morning. Because of the subsidy component, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency will want to see whether it is in line with the approval given. “So, those are the things that will actually delay the discharge of the vessels. It should take a minimum of two days. So, people may not feel any vessel is discharging until the weekend. Thelogistic issue is now the problem,” the source, who is an official of an independent marketer said. https://www.naij.com/789762-fuel-scarcity-independent-marketers-slams-fg-find.html |

Meanwhile the buffoons you support in PDP wakes up in 2016 and claims Amaechi was the one that prevented a PDP led FG from saving money. How much dumber could an excuse possibly be?.. Tufia! where did d money wey buari used bail out states come from no be from GEJ savings from gas earnings in addition to dat, GEJ saved $2.5 billion in eca. |

obailala: Like I said earlier, even when you count out the PDP governors who later switched to APC, there were still much more PDP governors in the governors' forum.
If the PDP governors as you claim were not in support of sharing the money, kindly tell the house why the PDP governors also collected their share?.... Also kindly tell us why they didnt save their share when they received it?..... Finally, kindly tell us why the PDP FG couldnt save its own lion share which amounted to over 50% of the total funds?
No offence but this has to be the lamest excuse or the lamest attempt at shifting blame since this political dispensation. I wasn't expecting anyone to try and defend this. PDP govt gave every state dem share since judas pushed for it. since PDP state govs refused to save their share, why didn't APC govs save their own share of excess crude abi na GEJ hold dem |

mile12crises: Apart from being useless, this APC Administration is not just confused, it is also confusing. That's what you get when a lawyer is the Minister of 3 very technical Ministries (Power, Works and Housing) and the President of the country a stark illiterate and junketing philanderer .
I have never seen an irresponsible government like this one in any democracy . In the wake of recent attacks in Brussels , The Belgium Senior government officials promptly tendered resignation to the leader and took responsibility for their failure . Tinubu was quoted recently as saying that PDP was responsible for the current fuel scarcity . What a shame to the government that will never take responsibility for anything . APC were never ready for governance. but they were ready to float parallel govt. yeye pipul. |

obailala: As at the time the governors asked for their share of the ECA funds, how many of those governors were opposition?.... Even when you count out the PDP governors who later switched to APC, we still had over 20 PDP governors in the governors' forum now someone who thinks he's talking to kids is saying APC prevented PDP from saving?
By the way, the entire 36 states and 774 LGAs only took 45% of the entire ECA funds, so please kindly tell us why the FG did not save its own 55% amounting to over $11bn?.... I would assume the APC governors also used a strong juju spell to charm the PDP FG into squandering the savings right?
The bunch of PDP buffoons should understand that not all Nigerians are silly. some of d PDP gov were APC in PDP's clothing. remember ameachi was in PDP when his madness started. why do u think ngf decended into two factions it was partly becos of share d moni campaign spear headed by judas ameachi n oshiom-ole. do a study of those govs in ameachi's ngf camp n jonah jang's camp n see where d pendulum is today. |

buari dullard, nigeria's oyel minister who does not understand subsidy has finaly succeded in shifting blame from GEJ to oyel marketers. so it is no longer nnpc to blame bah was it not d dullard dat made nnpc d sole importers of oyel in a bit to spite anytin GEJ, buari revoked d arrangement where independent marketers import d bulk of d nations oyel needs by making nnpc (one organization dat cannot maintain refinery) d sole importers of fuel, hence d result is fuel scarcity ravaging everywia. d worst scarcity eva in d history of d con3. buari's system of making inefficient nnpc sole importers of fuel was d same system dat existed during military days where fuel scarcity was a normal tin. n somebody dey talk say buari get experience for governance GEJ may have been removed through voter card, but come 2019, buari dullard will be chased out of aso rock with cutlass. |
Politics › Re: Buhari And Fuel Scarcity: See How The WOMAN In Diezani Was Portrayed By A Fan by drss(m): 1:51pm On Apr 05, 2016 |
Adminisher: This is very STUPID Go and ask people who know the industry. It was under Dieziani that no extra barrels were added to Nigeria's oil and gas reserves. Exploratory activities dropped and they were not even paying joint venture partners.
On the downstream side They did not build new refineries in spite of all the oil money Nigeria was making. The woman herself knew nothing about the industry. She is an architect who worked in community relations in Shell. A lot of you are very very ignorant.
On the retail side. The only interest this woman had was importing petrol and diesel through a few marketers and doing sharp practices. In all her interviews her main claim to fame was that there were very few petrol queues in her tenure... LOL. Few petrol queues of an imported product that we should be producing for the local market and exporting. Very big disgrace.
Simple common sense dictates that the current problem a country faces is usually the result of bad things done in the past. So why are people being cowardly in saying the truth about this bad woman?. It is not all negative for Nigeria. Nigeria currently has more trained manpower globally than all the other third world countries except India and Iran but this is not Buhari's achievement but the result of things we did right as a people. Nigerians suffered a great deal to train their children so we are enjoying the 21 billion dollars that these people working abroad post home. In the same way your current power and fuel problems are due to the mis management of PDP ..face the fact and accept it. The past determines the present so PDP is to blame...very simple. all dis ur long grammer dey make buari look dull. |
