I bought my share in ecobank 2007 and up till now i have not goten my certificate or any document of the share, and i only recieve devidend once, that was 2 200ß8 and up till now i have not see any thing again:-).and am tired of complaining to the bank. Any advice , because the address i use for the share was for one of the banker there, then and now he is no longer there again. And if i finally find a way of getting the certificate is it adviceable to sell the share.? Because am not sëeing any benefit of it

The days of spending tons of money and between 11 and 12 months to clean up an oil spill on our waters, seem to be over as a Nigerian researcher,Engr. Taslim Owonikoko, ManagingDirector/Chief Executive Officer of Iseyin, Oyo State-based Berekotry Detergent Limited, has come up with a solution, interestingly made from agricultural waste. He spoke withVanguard Learning on his new invention.Excerpts:
Motivation:
Call it serendipitous discovery and you will be right because according to Owonikoko, he did not set out to look for an oil spill cleaner. He was actually looking for alocal, more environment-friendlyand cheaper alternative to phosphate in his detergent formulationand also to create jobs for the teeming technical workforce.
”The oil spill cleaner came up as an offshoot of trying to impact Nigerians positively and satisfy Nigerian customer base. Nigerian consumers are very meticulous and know the dynamics of the market more than thetechnical workforce. We wanted to knock off phosphate from Nigeria to save our waterways which areusually covered by water hyacinth.
“Many people do not know that water hyacinth on our waterways is causedby waste laundry water laden with sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) in detergent formulations. At that time, nobody knew the negative effects of STPP in detergent formulations. So we were trying to createsomething that will bea plus to the environmental wellbeing of Nigerians using as much local content aswe can. “We wanted to reallymake an impact on the society through our interest in Research and Development (R&) and based on the fact that we work on agricultural waste round the clock to create very good industrial products. We have been working tirelessly to ensure that we impact the rural dwellers and the unemployed graduates roaming the streets through agriculture, Nigeria being an agrarian society,”Owonikoko said.
Searching for an alternative:
Engr. Owonikoko explained further; “Carboxyl cellulose is the most expensive aspect of detergent formulationso if we had increased that, as requested by the market, we would nothave been able to compete with those coming from Asia so we needed to look inwards.....This is world’s fastest and safest oilspill mopping agent that has been certified by all regulatory bodies in the OPEC world and the DPR in Nigeria. Sowe have not only just produced a mopping agent, we have created one of the best in the oil industry.
The DPR bio-assay analyst said our product on touching crude oil on water surface in Nigerian environmental condition, reduces toxicity of oil by 200 per cent which meansthat the oil has been totally arrested and coagulated and therefore, no longer toxic to aquatic life. Based on the information we got from the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA), we got to know that the imported enzymatic cleaning agent takes between 11 and 12 months to clean oil spill especially in the riverine areas but our own solution will clean within just 10 minutes.”

Scientists find new kind of bacterial life in hidden Antarctic lake

An enormous lake that has lain buried under Antarctic ice for millionsof years is home to a new kind of bacterial life, Russian scientists claim.
The researchers foundevidence for the unidentified organism in water samples brought up from Lake Vostok , the largest subglacial lake on the Antarctic continent.
The Russian team found seven samples of the mystery speciesin water that had frozen on a drill head used to reach the lake that lies beneath an icesheet more than two miles (3.5km) thick.
The scientists extracted strands of DNA from the organism,but said the genetic code was never more than an 86% match withany of the species listed in global databanks. Sergey Bulat, a researcher on the team at the Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute, said that anything less thana 90% match usually indicated that the organism was unknown.
"We call it unidentified and 'unclassified' life," Bulat told the state news agency, RIA Novosti. "If it were found on Mars, people would call it Martian DNA. But this is DNA from Earth," he added.
The Russian team broke through to the lake under the East Antarctic Ice Sheet last year. When the ice cover was pierced, water burst up throughthe borehole. The hugebody of water stretches for 150 milesand is 30 miles wide in places.
Several expeditions have set out to look for life in Antarctica's subglacial lakes. The organisms are likely tobe different from well-known life because they have evolved in isolation, under intense pressure, and with no sunlight, for millions of years.
"It's rather tantalising," said DavidPearce, a microbiologist at the British Antarctic Survey. "We can't readtoo much into it yet, but I would be surprised and disappointed if they had not found anything. This whets the appetite for what isto come."
The Russian team said it planned more tests, but needed more specimens of the bugs.Those might be among water samples collected from the lake earlier this year, whichare being carried by ship back to the Russian mainland.
The scientists ultimately hope to growthe bacteria so they can study their size, shape and physiology, and confirm whether ornot the bugs are new to science.
In January this year, aUS team broke through800 metres of Antarcticice to reach Lake Whillans, another subglacial lake. Water samples brought up from the lake also contained microbial life.

My was awesome, the day i recieve the holy spirit i felt so complete, do before i recieve it i fasted, pray, attend many fellowship meetings just because i want to have that gift of the spirit of praying in tongues, so the day i recieve it during the prayer section my tongue was just rolling unconsciously, just with little time, i began speaking in a strange tongue, since then i felt complete when ever am praying, especially when am in the spirit, the next gift i want now is the gift of tongue interpretation and prophecy, just that now my spiritual life is going down, and i find it difficult to pray except when am in the fellowship. But the experience is something that one will never forget.
