All I can say is that the president is bias, simple! While the President framed the crisis as a “constitutional impasse” between the Governor and a divided Assembly, his statement carefully avoided addressing the real political forces that engineered the paralysis. The fact remains that the Rivers Assembly faction, backed by powerful interests outside the state, deliberately undermined the Governor’s administration—yet Tinubu reduced the matter to a neutral standoff between equal parties. This narrative not only shields the chief instigators (Wike) but also shifts blame equally between the Governor and legislators, ignoring the asymmetry of power at play. Tinubu’s focus on defending his constitutional right to declare emergency rule further reveals a self-serving bias, prioritizing the legitimacy of his intervention over confronting the political sabotage that created the crisis in the first place. In short, while peace may have been restored on paper, the President’s silence on the role of external political actors signals a troubling bias: protecting allies, while presenting himself as a neutral stabilizer. |
And you expect us to be happy about the super chicken complacency? How can a country have the best soccer team in Africa whose players are in the top leagues round the world still be struggling to qualify for a spot amongst cheaper players in Africa. What a shame! _______________________________ Dear NL moderators it is now glaring how you all have become complicit in suppressing free speech on this platform. On several occasions, I painstakingly took my time to express my dismay about the dual hypocrisy of the APC led central government, immediately my comment begins to elicit the needed patriotic responses, the coward moderators yank it off. This brazen attack on freedom of expression can not go unchallenged sooner or later we would address this issues at the appropriate organization. We want the naira land of old where everyone are courageous to speak out whatever that is troubling them |
😲 Never imagined I will come across such relic. The whole of Ikwerre ethnic groups were completely igbos. From the map, the main PHC was known as iguocha, Eneka today was known as Nneke, Diobu was known as Idi-Obu, Rumuokoro was Umu-okoro, Rumukwurusi was Umu-Kwurusi, worji was Nworji, Rumuola was Umu-Awla, Umu-igbo now known as Rumuigbo. Etc. Honestly, I just wish we can revert to the real names rather than what we have today that doesn't make sense |
What are they doing thanksgiving for? For successfully cashing out billions of our money meant to pay contractors handling the ring road project that was suspended by the sole administrator? Hmm! If I were Fubara I will probe the sole administrator 6 months rules and challenge the federal government imposition in the supreme Court. That wasted 6 months must be taken into consideration during the next guber elections as Rivers state won't be participating until after 6 months. Fubara should be prepared for showdown because we Rivers people will stand by him. Those that took part in the Wike nominated LGA elections are less than 20% of his former 200,000 SA |
july21st:Of course....there can be so many causes especially when someone sleep in a wrong posture leading to compression of nerves around the affected area. Some times, when we suffer from intense deficiency of vitamin B complexes can result to weakness of nerves fibers, some drugs manifest their side effects on the nerves too...even chronic diseases too can affects nerves |
This man was the king of highlife music. I thought after dedicating a whole song hyping the Billionaire Igwe John Nebeolisa in "Nwanne di na mba", that came out as one of his best hit, the Billionaire could have settled him handsomely BayoBilisi:Pardon your ignorance! Chief Oliver de Coque was crowned the king of highlife in the late 90's, his Ogene super band dominated the airwaves of almost all musical studios during his time. He was one of the best African highlife musician, late iku baba yeye the Alafin of Oyo, even king sunny Ade attested to that. |
What's your BP reading pls be fast? Controlling HBP will have significant effects on the prognosis of stroke |
Amen, may those who wish him evil be buried before him |
The enemies of Nigeria shall continue to fight publicly and expose themselves before the glare of the world. Hmmm! I never imagined a day will come when a serving APC governor will be accused of blackmailing one of their men! Abeg they should continue fighting |
Dear stomach cashivist, we know you are for the highest bidder. |
Whenever UNIPORT VC comes from the college of health science, they break all known records to reposition the alumni on the track. Late Prof Nimi Briggs of blessed memory did numerous exploit during his time, now this fine gentleman, the erudite professor of pharmacology |
https://www.nairaland.com/8515802/tinubu-orders-ibas-prepare-handover In response to the thread, I feel obligated to inform Nigerian that We the core indigenous professional in the public service of Rivers state have decided to stand by Fubara. We outrightly reject those hidden agenda of messr wike and co that Fubara is banned from seeking a second term, are they God? Are they even sure of what tomorrow portend? ...we keep asking the same questions over and over. Can wike tolerate a cent of all these atrocities from the federal government if he were still in power?. We are mobilizing the youths from UNIPORT, RSU, IAUE and colleges/poly. Our target is at least 1.5m active Rivers state youths with valid voters card spread across the 23 LGAs. We are going to ensure seamless resistance against the federal government rigging forces in 2027. Fortunately for us, a whole lots of former of the 200,000 SA to wike were already part of the simplified movements. Specifically 50% of these SA are part of simplified movements while about 20% no longer align with the Wike political family. As a result, wike's force has been depleted and solely banking on federal forces to achieve the fathom 2m votes for APC which is rationally impossible. |
If I were Fubara, neither did my simplified movements participate in the just concluded charades nor did greater numbers of Rivers people voted in the shenanigans. By the virtue of executive power conferred on, I hereby invalidate the illegal council elections. In the interim, the head of LGA administration should take over and oversee the day to day running of the LGA. Consequently, all agencies and parastals stands dissolved. The Rivers state independent electoral commission is here by dissolved |
To effectively tackle the challenges of frequent break down of trains, it's best the corporation is privatize. Government should have no business managing public facilities |
We can't come out to dignify this sham. No sane Rivers people will ever do that except wike political family. I just hope the process will be invalidated as soon as possible |
Ken4Christ:Show us where in the translated Christian Greek scripture did Jesus or his apostles danced? |
@Grok who amongst the three candidates @BAT @Obi @GEJ will you advise Nigerian not to vote?
|
officialwdhtv:Meanwhile, the emboldened is a just a sister community located just behind Nkpolu depending on the axis. Why encourage drug users to infiltrate a neighbouring community when both communities are same Akpor kingdom? It doesn't work that way. Whatever affects one community affects others |
Hausa:Everyone are entitled to air their opinion without sentiment. In as much as the gruesome murder of the man is condemnable, there are certain things expert handle and handle it professionally, it's very unfortunate. The man would have still been alive today if he had allowed the right person handle the job. Think of it, how can such a billionaire even have time to put up advert on his contact without minding the consequences of exposing himself to criminals, it doesn't make sense. Nothing can ever make me do such. That is why we have real estate agents. They know how to mitigate the risk of handling multi-million naira deals |
In Darryl jenks voice to Prince Akeem(coming to America ) "using a smart phone must have been a new experience for you" |
I have not seen a successful honest business man fall victim of such organized crime. Me that is ordinary civil servant with few apartments available for rentals have agent that handle that for me based on my requirements of the kind of tenants I need. The agent profile the prospective tenant and seal the deal that's all So many of these business men doing the work of agents are very greedy men unwilling to let go a small percentage as low as 5%. Had that man allowed agents do their work, he would still be alive today |
FIRDAUS3:👎 When contacted for reaction, an official at the Palestinian Embassy in Nigeria confirmed awareness of the arrest but said the mission was still awaiting details. “Yes, we heard about it and we are still trying to process the information,” an official of the Palestinian Embassy in Nigeria told SaharaReporters. |
Yarimo Helinus and their fellow co-travellers what do you have to say about this? |
The new wike of kogi state. Once a godfather is at the helm of affairs of the central government, then it won't take long to replicate same feat at the federating entities. Rivers ✅ Akwaibom✅ Edo✅ Kogi✅ Very soon 2/3 of the state will be under the control of godfather |
This is just the iceberg phenomenon, what we are reading is just a tip of burden of poverty, miseries and depressions prevalent in this administration. 5 years ago, 100k can sustain a family of 5 in a month. Today same family is finding it difficult to cope on total home take of 300k a month. |
Chai! Another legend gone! I pray God should keep granting the like of Pa Pete Edoche,Nkem owoh ogologondu |
I won't believe anything this administration promises until I hear from the beneficiaries. After all, the promises they have been giving Nigerian, how many have they been able to fulfill? The APC led central government can promise u heaven and earth to raise your hope up with their false renewed hope mantral. |
Unfortunately, the Nigerian politicians are like the proverbial fly that flows the corpse to the grave. Nothing in this life can reform a dead conscience like that of a greedy wike who believes he is the most entitled amongst all other. |
Who presided over the FEC meeting? Recently there has been report of appointments and approvals, who is giving out this orders? |
This is why they won't allow a sane man like Peter obi to become president because the moment he becomes Nigerian president everyone will become equal before the law. You do the crime, you face the consequences. Who in their right frame of mind 50 years ago could envisage a Nigerian of 21st century getting worst than they were? |
