The fact remains that the Rivers Assembly faction, backed by powerful interests outside the state, deliberately undermined the Governor’s administration—yet Tinubu reduced the matter to a neutral standoff between equal parties.

This narrative not only shields the chief instigators (Wike) but also shifts blame equally between the Governor and legislators, ignoring the asymmetry of power at play. Tinubu’s focus on defending his constitutional right to declare emergency rule further reveals a self-serving bias, prioritizing the legitimacy of his intervention over confronting the political sabotage that created the crisis in the first place.

In response to the thread, I feel obligated to inform Nigerian that We the core indigenous professional in the public service of Rivers state have decided to stand by Fubara.

We outrightly reject those hidden agenda of messr wike and co that Fubara is banned from seeking a second term, are they God? Are they even sure of what tomorrow portend? ...we keep asking the same questions over and over. Can wike tolerate a cent of all these atrocities from the federal government if he were still in power?.

We are mobilizing the youths from UNIPORT, RSU, IAUE and colleges/poly. Our target is at least 1.5m active Rivers state youths with valid voters card spread across the 23 LGAs. We are going to ensure seamless resistance against the federal government rigging forces in 2027.

Fortunately for us, a whole lots of former of the 200,000 SA to wike were already part of the simplified movements. Specifically 50% of these SA are part of simplified movements while about 20% no longer align with the Wike political family. As a result, wike's force has been depleted and solely banking on federal forces to achieve the fathom 2m votes for APC which is rationally impossible.
