Lt. Col Ojogbane is from Kogi State, North-Central Kingsley Kuku is from Ondo state, South-West... Not so sure tho Dr Joseph Dawha is from Bornu state, North-East Brgd Gen. Arogbofa is from Ondo, South-West That said, we voted change and as such expect PMB not to toe GEJ's line. Yes you are right about the ADC, I will correct it.But Dauha is not from Borno. I am privy to certain confidential information which I cannot divulge here. But noatter how you look at it GEJ case is worse than PMB's though we are not expecting him to toe GEJ's path of sectional favouratism. The most curious observation here is the unprecedented uproar from a section of the country while the same section maintained deafening silence when GEJ favoured them. WHY the double standerd? WHY the silence in the face of injustice? Is it because GEJ is a southerner and PMB a northerner? Pls, Let us say dtruth and dtruth shall set us free. 1 Like |

In the wake of His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari's last appointments, there has been an uproar from section of the country crying foul of marginalization. Since then, Unprecedented regional propaganda by certain sectional media outfits have become the order of the day. Politics / ON Buhari's LATEST APPOINTMENTS - By Osas Chijioke by dTruth101: 10:32am On Aug 28, 2015 |
ON BUHARI's LATEST APPOINTMENTS... People forget that Nigeria is beyond Hausa-Fulani, Igbo, and Yoruba. Buhari's appointments are touching several states of Nigeria. For those who don't know, 'the north' is not a monolithic entity but a very diverse region. When wailers wail because Buhari appoints Christian or Muslim minorities to represent their states, they deserve pity. Buhari has made appointments from Kano to Kaduna to Nassawa, from Katsina to Adamawa. These are all 'northern' states but they are not the same in terms of ethnic and religious composition. While I personally would have wanted Ogbonanya Onu as SFG, there is nothing that makes that position automatically his. And by the way, the heads of Nigeria's two major agencies-- the NNPC and CBN-- are igbos. So what are we talking about? Nigeria has at least 250 ethnic groups and 36 states and this composition goes beyond Hausa-Fulani, Igbo and Yoruba. The earlier we get this into our skulls the better. ~ Osas Chijioke 1 Like |

Politics / Jonathan's Unfounded Fears by dTruth101: 8:04pm On Jul 21, 2015 |
ll Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan is now a confused man, running helter-skelter in search of a saviour as he was being haunted by his past. He has shown that he is a cowardly and spineless politician who couldn’t take his medicine as a man. Undoubtedly, Mr. Jonathan is now a completely changed man, totally different from the posture he had adopted immediately after the April presidential elections when he conceded defeat without much ado. The former President is now afraid of his shadow, trying desperately to redefine the spirit of the tranquillity fostered by General Abdusalami Abubakar’s National Peace Committee during and soon after the 2015 General Elections. By so doing, ex-president Jonathan was trying not to accept the inevitable. It was reported that Mr Jonathan who was holidaying abroad, has suddenly dashed into Abuja to launch a protest over the determination of President Muhammadu Buhari to probe how more than two billion dollars was illegally siphoned from the Excess Crude Account. It was said that he was planning to protest over his extreme and unreasonable suspicion of attempt to blackmail him and his former cabinet ministers and is utterly miserable and displeased with the tag of corruption put on his administration, and worried by the impending probe of the whereabouts of the four- billion-dollars taxes and dividends paid by the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas company between 2009 and 2014. Mr. Jonathan and some of his ministers are troubled by the inquiry into how the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, under their watch allegedly blew three-point-eight trillion Naira in three years. Although ex-president Jonathan has lodged his protest with former Head of State, General Abdussalami Abubakar, no meeting was held between him and President Buhari and it was doubtful if such meeting could ever take place considering the fact that the issue may not be open for discussion because it is an event that may never occur in the current war against corrup The General Abdusalam’s National Peace Committee for 2015 General Elections must by now have outlived its usefulness and its term of reference did not cover intercession by a third party or to dissuade the victor in the presidential elections not to probe the administration of the vanquished. Therefore, Mr. Jonathan should not be capitalising on General Abdussalami to intervene by requesting President Buhari to stay action on the ongoing probe of his administration. Already the Buhari administration has raised a four-man panel to probe how NNPC spent more than three-trillion Naira in three years and other related issues. A former minister in Mr Jonathan’s cabinet, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala claimed that ex-President Jonathan ordered the spending of one billion dollars out of the two-point-one billion dollars withdrawn from the Excess Crude Account to oil marketers as fuel subsidy while another one-billion dollars was used for Jonathan’s electioneering campaigns. All the withdrawals were without the prior approval of the National Economic Council. Against that backdrop ex-President Jonathan could be culpable and might likely face charges of corruption and gross misconduct. He should therefore be advised to stop unnecessary complaints and prepare his line of defence when he eventually becomes a very important guest of the EFCC. Under ex-President Jonathan the anti-graft agency appeared to be in deep slumber, but with him in its kitty it would become alive to its responsibility and deal with him squarely. Already, three former governors have been dragged to court and are now accounting for their financial stewardship. The arraignment of these top politicians and their cronies is a welcome development as long as due process would be observed. In the previous years, under the administration of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan only lip service was paid to the fight against corruption and the EFCC was used to witch hunt perceived political enemies. Nigerians were worried because governance at the state level was characterised by corrupt practices with the governors plotting events that charted the course of their bankruptcy. While the governors busied themselves negotiating foreign and domestic loans they were also quick to ensure that the monies ended up in private pockets with little left to cater for the impoverished people. While majority of Nigerians welcome probes that will bring culprits to book, cleanse the polity and restore sanity in all aspects of governance, it is advisable that thorough investigations are carried out before charging the governors or other culpable officials to court. The Buhari administration will not certainly welcome a situation where people are accused of corruption without sufficient grounds. In that connexion, Mr Jonathan, who has phobia about probes, should know that trial just for the sake of it, or in order to play to the gallery, definitely will not feature in the current fight against abuse of office. Therefore, Mr. Jonathan should stop expending his energy running from pillar to post seeking to postpone the inevitable. Nobody is after him or any of his ministers, but everybody is determined to join the momentous fight against corruption; and if he is eventually caught in that web there is nothing anybody can do to save him. Politics / Why I Will Not Shed A Tear For Dasuki – Dr . Ango by dTruth101: 7:50pm On Jul 21, 2015 |
In reaction to a cowardly Sambo Dasuki claim, as
the former NSA cracked so easily under minute
pressure, saying:
“I gave my best to this transition which led to the
victory of the opposition over the ruling Party”. Dr. Ango Abdullahi said: Of course you did sir. You were even captured on video in Sokoto with a group of improvised marabouts praying for the success of the deadly PDP. Nigerians were sure those prayers were for the success of the opposition not the ruling Party which covert operations you were alleged to have supervised and financed from the NSA’s office while playing acrobatics with the defence budget. It’s obvious Oga Sambo didn’t know that his nocturnal visitations to traditional rulers – part of his efforts “to give his best to the transition that led to the victory of the opposition” was captured and reported to the public in real-time, sometimes complete with amounts of his “drops” which were mostly rejected even by “Dogarawa”. Someday, somebody may trigger his memory to recollect what happened in Gwandu and Sokoto when he went calling. For now, let’s concentrate on what should constitute his today’s worries. Perhaps, not being so privileged and blue blooded like Sambo, if I’m in his shoes I will be worried with details of multi-trillion Naira budgetary spending in 3 years under his watchful eyes with nothing to show but a significant chunk of Nigeria conceded to a ragtag army of untrained militia. I will be more worried with the circumstances that left Nigeria with dysfunctional, visibly pregnant and embarrassingly ineffective army chiefs who seemed more at home supervising multi-billion Naira private estates in Abuja than supervising troops in Maiduguri and Damaturu. Dasuki claimed he was “fair” to all even when he had security cause to act on inflammatory comments about the government of the day (GEJ’s government). I wish he wasn’t. I wish he deployed the powers of his office to react to the “inflammatory comments” about GEJ’s government – comments he seem so shy to tell the public even when doing so could cheaply earn him public sympathy. Perhaps, then I will feel no restriction asking him why he remained aloof about thugs like Asari Dokubo and con artists like Pastor Oritsejafor. We may even ask him why he was silent when Marilyn Oga was busy reducing the DSS into an arm of the PDP he “worked against” to give the opposition victory over the ruling Party. With minimum knowledge of the law of Karma, Dasuki should have licked his wounds in silence considering the fact that he remained stone silent when the same DSS was persecuting members of the opposition he “silently worked to give victory” like Malam Nasir El-Rufai. We are not talking about new laws for the DSS. Just talking about a DSS with a new purposeful leadership with visible intent to restore the lost respectability of a bastardized government institution. Ok, we heard the operatives invaded and ransacked his residences, something that broke the heart of his ailing father who is in a London hospital. I believe that story was cooked up to gain sympathy. Still, I don’t expect a retired Colonel even of a ragtag army to be so womanly no matter how desperate the situation, the least of all Sambo Dasuki who was part of the team that went and arrested President Buhari after he was toppled in 1985. I’m sure Dasuki was privy to subsequent invasions of PMB’s residences that caused unforgivable lost of valuables including certificates – part of which was used to unleash a shameless campaign against PMB’s educational qualification only recently without Dasuki raising a finger to put the records straight because he was busy trying to shift the original date of an election the PDP was obviously going to lose. By the way, did somebody tell Dasuki PMB didn’t have a mother back then whose heart was broken by the travails of her son? Sambo may never know the pain of being locked-up and refused a visit to an ailing mother and subsequent denial of attending her funeral. Haba! Somebody should be a man and save us the “heart melting” tears of a male adult who is sleeping on a bed he made with his hands to suit his comfort. If I’m Daduki, I will use the opportunity to review the chapters I missed in the book of life especially, the most important chapter dealing with the law of karma. The Nation 1 Like |

Ever since president Buhari was inaugurated as the president of the emerging Nigeria, some indecorous critics have taken it upon themselves to be fighting imaginary wars, making a mountain out of a molehill. There’s hardly a day that would pass by that friends won’t at every turn ask me: “where’s our change”? On every appointment, a very close friend of mine would send the names of the appointees on my facebook wall to notify and remind me no South east person has been appointed by the president. To many of my southern friends, the appointments so far is an indication president Buhari is pursuing a northen agenda so that a particular region would continue to dominate Nigeria. I don’t want to comment on the few appointments so far, considering the fact that the president has over a thousand appointments to make in no distant time but interesting facts abound about this northern domination which I have seen but don’t know if others have seen it or pretended not to notice. I noticed there is a BBC Hausa station but no BBC yoruba or Igbo. Was this caused by Buhari to continue northern domination? What about Africa Magic Hausa? It’s even on GOTV but Africa Magic Igbo is not on GOTV, just DSTV and on a higher bouquet plan. So Africa Magic Igbo is not given equal opportunities with Africa Magic Hausa. Who’s to be blamed? Buhari! Boko Haram has been attacking only the north and they have not come to the South. Another evidence of the north wanting to have everything under Buhari. Lets blame Buhari. Again, Shekau has been silent but when he speaks in his videos, what language does he speak? Hausa without Igbo or Yoruba translations. Hausa domination of other languages, is that not so? What of the recent arrest and detention of some former northern governors by EFCC and the 12 hours siege at the Abuja residence of the immediate past National Security adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) last week Thursday, by men of the Department of State Security Service (DSS). Was those acts part of the northern domination of Nigeria? Now that relevant authorities are going after politicians of northern extraction, who were fingered in corruption cases, some malicious partisan whistle blowers really seem to be comfortable with it but when same authorities will begin their manhunt of corrupt politicians from their regions, they will still cry out that president Buhari is on a vindictive mission. It is only those who are yet to recover from agony of defeat and some ethnic bigots that would insist president Buhari is pursuing a northern agenda through his appointments. Mr. President in his inaugural speech assured Nigerians he would be president of Nigeria and not president of a particular region and so far his few appointments has been purely on merit and competence. This is a clear depature from what was obtained in the past and even the blind could see that president Buhari is keeping to his inaugural promise of belonging to nobody but everybody. Lest we forget: Before Buhari was voted,” he’s a fanatic”, “he will Islamize Nigeria”, “Buhari is boko haram” etc. He is now the president and am yet to see anything close to what those myopic religious and tribalistically motivated folks were ranting. Please, to those that are still ruled by parochial sentiments: just keep your tribe and religion to yourself. Nigeria has grown beyond that and we want a better Nigeria. The truth is, common sense is not really common here in our polity. Or how can one explain the resort to checking where Buhari’s appointees are from not their abilities? With the monstrous problems facing us, we are really carrying elephants on our heads and scratching the grounds for crickets with our feets. May God save us from us!
