Philipponzaghi: Reno never fails to hit the nail on the head! His insights on food prices are not just timely, they’re essential. It's high time we had more voices like his in the media, advocating for transparency and accountability. The rising cost of living affects us all, and we need leaders who aren't afraid to speak up. Keep shining the light, Reno! Your words inspire change and push for a better Nigeria. I think you have a challenge with comprehension. Did you actually read what he wrote up there |

Politics › Reactions As Reno Omokri Talks About Food Prices & Responsible Media In Nigeria by dumahi(op): 5:27pm On Aug 11, 2024 |
Former Presidential aide Reno Omokri has said that "the prices of almost every food item have gone down" in Nigeria. Using Arise TV as a point of illustration, Omokri also advised that Nigerian journalists need to practice responsible media. "It is not just broadcasting inciting news and surrendering your media to voices of secession and division, like Arise TV," the ex-Presidential aide wrote on his X page today. Below are the screenshots of some of the hilarious reactions he got from Nigerians. Meanwhile, here's the full text of the tweet... The prices of almost every food item have gone down. The whole price hike was a gimmick. Harvest season is here, and food is abundant. What is now required of our media is to educate and inform Nigerians about the cause and effect of food inflation and how they can ameliorate it, so they can proactively do something about it.
For example, responsible media ought to inform Nigerians that now is the time to buy non-perishable food items, like beans, yams, locally grown rice, maize, etc, in bulk and prepare for the months ahead.
And for produce like tomatoes and pepper, now is the time to start growing them in your backyards, verandas, and kitchen windows.
It is not just broadcasting inciting news and surrendering your media to voices of secession and division, like Arise TV, thereby creating artificial tension in society, leading to mistrust of government and each other. Instead, our media should consider using their platform to enlighten the public about their self-interest and add value to the nation's national security interests.
Or am I lying?

Ola9ja23: You said you want to kill yourselves for 10 days and the president said go ahead yet you start complaining from day one again.
When presidency calls for dialogue instead of protest, how many of you agreed?
What exactly do you people want? Your poor education always shows in your comments. Just because I said this doesn't mean I support the protest. If you doubt it, I'll share my recent posts where I campaigned against the protest. Learn not to be jumping into premature conclusions (or ejaculations🤣). Whether I support the protest or not, I should also care that the President ignored those who did. |

haslaw: When will Nigerians learn the antics of the SE.
This was how Azikiwe positioned his people for a bloody ethnic cleansing they called a coup in January 1966. Same Azikiwe sneaked out of the country just before the coup leaving his friends from other regions to be massacred
CharlyBoy and his cohorts gaslighted the country to a protest that is already turning violent and destructive only for him to run away and hide in a corner and watch the country burn.
The most treacherous people are SE This your witchcraft attempts to always find something to hang on Igbos is outdated. We are ready for y'all though, because we are aware of how desperately evil you can be. Bullies are always cowards. |

This mathematical formula is correct. Or, what do you think?
Nigeria needs an active President, but that doesn't mean that Bokoharamic Shettima should be allowed to replace Tinubu as North is trying to do. Instead, Nigerians should end the Tinubu-Shettima combo in 2027. |

Nigerians too stupid I swear. Someone tells you to vote for a competent person but all you think is that Southeast wants to rule. Do regions rule Nigeria? FYI: Southeast doesn't want to rule Nigeria. Southeasterners and other sensible Nigerians only want competent hands to rule Nigeria. Before Peter Obi, many Southeasterners contested to be Nigeria's President but weren't supported by Southeasterners. Nigeria is so horrible because many Nigerians are very stupid like this... |

Myaar648: I posted an advert for my phone on jiji and yesterday someone contacted me saying he needed urgently. He proceeded to ask for the meet up address and everything seemed fine, he paid and showed me his payment reciept. Prior to paying i asked him to send the money to my opay account, but he said he preferred a commercial and I just assumed it was for security purposes. Now, after not seeing the alert I tried contacting him only to be hearing that the number does not exist. I tried sending a message via normal text, watsapp, and jiji bit he has not responded to any. I have still not gotten the money, I have contacted jiji and they are saying the only thing they can do is block his account on there and that I should report the case to the police. But knowing our country going to the police is basically pointless especially when the only information I have on this guy is a number that is not even going through. Please I need advice on what I could possibly do now. Contact your bank first before thinking you've been scammed. Network these days can be very poor. Also pray for resolution. I understand how you must be feeling now. Good luck. |

na hunger we dey quarrel While some people were pointing at Peter Obi as the one behind the protest, one article published on July 25 predicted that #EndBadGovernance protest is a Northern conspiracy to remove Tinubu and install Shettima or Atiku. Now, going by what is happening in the North already, could this be true? I'm afraid that many things the article said appear to be coming true. And it does, that's going to be from frying pan to fire. As the article said, the aim is to make Boko Haram take over Aso Rock as Taliban took over in Afghanistan. But people don't like the bitter truth though.

Great. Nigerians are arising. But this Deji Na werey oh! He talked about "the issue of cunny man die, cunny man bury am". yarimo: And the coward agulu fraudster peter obi that called for the protest refused to come out and lead the protest. Very unfortunate man Point of correction: Peter Obi didn't "call for" any protest. He only supported it after other people called for it. And he cautioned that it should be peaceful. And he has a more effective way to protest and doesn't have to join a street protest to prove anything as this article clearly shows. Read the article and you'll clearly see how you are the one who is unfortunate instead of Peter Obi. You don't even know what it means to call for something.

It seems the individuals who have been rushing to Arise TV and Channels over the last 2 weeks jostling for personal attention whilst claiming to be leaders of the protests and promising unprecedented protests are nowhere to be seen today
So these people 's plan all along was to push unsuspecting young men into protests and harm's way, while the so-called protest leaders watch on TV from the comfort of their houses, keeping their own children safe? Call names. |
