I noticed that my two older kids stopped carrying lunch box to school on Fridays, when I asked them why, they told me that it wasn't necessary since they dismiss by 12 noon and I believed them.

One day I was relaxing on the couch when my second daughter came to me and started a conversation.

Second daughter: Mummy, please change the food you use to pack in our lunch box, I don't like it.

Me: What is wrong with the food?

Second daughter: Nothing is wrong with it, it's just that it's village food😲

Me: What is wrong with village food? Don't you like it?

Second daughter: I'm the only one that brings village food to school in our class and anytime I bring out my lunch box, everybody will start laughing at me 😲😲😲

I started thinking for a smart idea 🤔🤔🤔

Me: Last academic session in your school, who took the first position in your class?

Second daughter: Me

Me: Last two academic sessions, who took first position in your class?

Second daughter: Me

Me: This academic session, who will take first position in your class?

Second daughter: Me

Me: How sure are you that you will take first position this session, what is someone else takes the position?

Second daughter: I'm very sure that I will take the first position, I'm the one who answers all the questions in class, my classmates don't usually know the answer 😲

Me: Why don't your classmates know the answer? Is it not the same teacher, same class, same books and same head that all of you have? Why do you always know the answer?

Daughter: Thought for a while 🤔 and said, I don't know what their problem is, they are always reading their book, they don't play like me, yet they still won't know the answer when teacher asks question🤷

Me: Let me tell you the reason. They eat English food and you eat correct Igbo food. Their English food only deposit fat under their skin making them plumpy and fresh but doesn't add any nutrient to their brain. The Igbo food you eat doesn't deposit fat under your skin, that's why you're not plumpy like them, it sends all the nutrients to your brain, that's why you're always taking the first position.

Daughter: Wow! Now I know!

My first daughter who was listening to the conversation started laughing 😲

First daughter: Mummy! Mummy! Chai 😁😁

Me: Do you think I'm joking? Don't you come first in your class too? So you think that I don't know what I'm doing by giving you correct Nsukka delicacies?🤷

First daughter: Are you really serious?

Me: Yes naw, it's because your brain is well nourished. God created every brain to be intelligent, you're the one who will nourish your brain with real food, not oyibo foods.

They both kept quiet 🤐

Me: When you go to school tomorrow, bring out your lunch box boldly, if they start laughing at you, laugh harder and louder. Tell them that it's those English food they are eating that is making them not to understand anything in class. Laugh very well, use that same style they use when bullying you 😏🥴😏

They both agreed that my plan is perfect 😁😁

It's been long and I haven't heard any complain or anyone rejecting lunch box.

Any food I cook, except swallow, that's what you're carrying to school straight 🤷

The taste increases when I sit on the floor and eat with my hands😋😋😋

I was offered a gift to consume a small bowl of Ukwa here in Akwa sometimes in 2021(During ArchBishop of Akwa Anglican diocese, Alex Ibezim visit to one St.Mary's church back then)

I'm in Love with my Late brother's wife.
My brother got married to this beautiful Lady in December 2020. They had 2 kids before he passed on. Throughout their marriage I was in the UK and only came back last year when I lost my brother. After the burial my family gave her 2 options: since she's still young she can decide to go back to her parents and get married whenever she's ready. Secondly she can still stay in husband's house and whenever she finds a man she can get married and move on with her life. She's just 25yrs old. So she chose to stay and mourn her husband. I normally paid her visits regularly to check on her and the kids, buy them stuff her husband could have bought if he was still alive. I tried to make her happy and not to really feel the gap in her husband's absence. I won't lie I was doing all these as a caring brother in-law with no intentions. I knew my brother would take care of my kids and wife if I was the one who passed away.
It was this weekend I promised to take my late brother's wife and the kids for an outing. We went out and had fun then I dropped them home upon leaving the daughter who was just a year old started crying for me not to leave. I stayed back and played a bit until she fell asleep. As days passed I realized I'm having feelings for my late brother's wife. I tried to fight the feelings by not going there often but she'll call me whenever the kids ask of me or they want something. Even as I stayed away I couldn't get her off my head. This was just 6 months after my brother díed. I struggled for 2 months after this time but kíll that feeling but it wasn't easy. One afternoon, she called me and asked if I was avoiding her and the kids or is there anything she'd done wrong? I felt guilty but I couldn't open up to her that I have fallen in love with her already. Mind you I'm not married and I don't have kids yet. After my brother's wife complained, I started visiting and behaved normal as usual on this day I mustard the courage to tell her my feelings towards her. Yes she felt uncomfortable but I told her I'll respect her decision and if she wants I can stay away from her. She cried and asked me what people say? Yes she feels comfortable around me but she doesn't want anything that will bring problems to the family. I felt relieved after airing out my feelings for her.
I can tell now we have been secretly having sēx together, I just can't get over his girl. I dearly love her and I don't want to keep doing things in secret anymore. We celebrated my brother's one year memorial last month and I think I want to open up to my family and hers. I want to marry her. I'm deeply in Love with her and I know she loves me too. In fact as I speak she's pregnant for me. Nobody will treat my brother's children better than I can. They call me Daddy they are still very young. My worry is how do I break this news to my family? Am I wrong in loving in Love with her? I thought of secretly marrying her and moving with her and the kids to the UK so we peacefully continue our lives before the pregnancy becomes obvious. Please someone should advise me.
