Don't mind the tribalist girl.

Her problem is she grew up in Nsukka, and never mixed with people of other ethnic groups before IPOB mentality took hold of her.

If Obi had emerged the winner with all those problems with INEC uploading etc etc, would she have written this letter to Biden?

Of course not.

She is a tribalist and she is a liar too by making out that she only cares about 'fairness'.

She's made, She has any choice of country open to her to Live in, Most of us don't, Let's say we decide to leave the country would we be boyant enough to leave with our Folks. You'll should quit making this out as a tribal thing, cos at the end of the day it's the populace which translates to Ourselves, Our Dad's, Mum's and siblings that would have to bear the brunt of whatever happens, Living through the Buhari's Government alone is enough to make any sane person mad and apprehensive. Be careful of what you'll wish for really.

This is one of the major reasons you people lost the election. You insult any and every one who doesn't seem to be on your side, forgetting that who doesn't support you today can support you tomorrow. But when you insult people willy nilly, you tend to make enemies for life. And the worst kind of enemy you can make is one whose real identity you don't even know

When I hear people refer to each other with unfound names and it's ilk I just get amazed, cos at the end we all would go through whatever ever goodwill or bad shit that would happen to those of you guy's living in Nigeria. Even those Living outside the shores are been apprehensive having partially lived the Buhari's government through their families back home in Nigeria. So this nonsense on tribe isn't going to affect the politicians, rather the populace at large. So we all better be careful what we wish for !

Nice analysis.are you a legal practioner?

The analysis is sound yes, but the case won't be dismissed given that the UK laws on Organ donation which is stated soundly if anyone cares enough to check was broken, every evidence B4 the court isn't just speculations but hard facts written in laws and NHS guidelines. Let's assume every other evidence stated there are speculative, for the fact the boy was induced financially is a crime as stated by both the law and guidelines of the NHS. To me He's sure heading to the slammer.

You can't compare Crypto with ponzi. Crypto is more like stock exchange where the price fall and rise.

In Crypto, you are in Control of your money not that you will need admin access to grant you to make withdrawal like Ponzi.

Most e-currencies are good when they are still young. BTC would still catch up to $45k at least before the year would run out

Trust is Crypto isn't backed by anything and is more like A Ponzi than most. Cos reading carefully you realize that the crash and rise of crypto price is controlled by a few so called investors. They talk up a coin, possibly invest in it, by buying up majority of the coins, in a way to get the world to buy in too, so when the price is off the roof, and the coin is in demand, they cash out their fund's.
And since they control a majority in coins, the law of economics comes to play hereby tanking the coin's.
Ask your self why is there raise and fall value of coin's, it's just a few investors selling the coins, hereby raising panic in other investors who also own majority of the coins too.

Science/Technology / Artificial Intelligence Learns To Predict Solar Flux by duplexDan(m): 6:40pm On Jan 24, 2022
Researchers from the Department of Computer Systems Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid,in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde (UK), used a deep learning approach that had previously shown promising performance in other forecasting problems, to forecast the F10.7 solar radio flux over days-ahead timescales relevant to space operations.

The F10.7 index, which is a measurement of the intensity of solar radio emissions with a wavelength of 10.7 cm, is used as a proxy for solar activity, a main driver in changes in the density of the atmosphere, and therefore atmospheric drag. As atmospheric drag is one of the most prominent sources of uncertainty in the orbit prediction of the satellites in the Low Earth Orbit (LEO), the accurate modeling of this index is of great importance to help predict the positions of satellites and space debris, and ensure no collisions occur.

The methodology followed for the development of this model is based on the use of Deep Learning methods, more specifically, using a new approach based on Deep Residual Networks. This method, based on the neural network architecture "N-BEATS" was found to be effective in single-point forecasting up to 27 days ahead, as well as able to predict the uncertainty in the forecast using an ensemble of models.

The research team found that the N-BEATS model outperformed two forecast tolos available for space operators: one statistical (provided by BGS, ESA), and one multi-flux shallow neural network (by CLS, CNES).

With a growing number of private companies offering services in space, the results of this team are important for the space industry, as they can be used to develop tools to forecast the drag conditions in the near future and make more accurate orbit predictions.

The study has been published in the journal Acta Astronautica.

Crime / India Puts Gujarat Lions On Trial After Three People Killed by duplexDan(m): 11:48am On Jun 14, 2016
Officials in India have "arrested" 18 lions as they try to find a man eater suspected of killing three people. Forest officials in Gujarat state will test the lions' prints and excrement in an attempt to identify the killer. The "guilty lion" will be kept in a zoo for life while the others will be released back into the Gir sanctuary, the officials told BBC Hindi. Six attacks on humans have been reported recently near the sanctuary, the only habitat of the Asiatic lion. Gujarat's top forest official, JA Khan, said that the lions had been "arrested" over the past two months and were now being held in separate cages while tests were carried out. "We think we have pinpointed the guilty lion, but we are still awaiting the results of nine more animals," he said. Wildlife expert Ruchi Dave told the BBC that the "tests" involved studying the pug marks and faecal matter of the lions. "The officials are also studying the animals' behaviour. Man eating lions usually get aggressive at the sight of a human being," she said. Another wildlife expert Revtubha Raizada said the man-eating lion would be caged for the rest of its life, as it was too unsafe to release it back into the wild. Some experts feel that the thriving lion population in Gir forest is to blame for the "unusual" behaviour by the lions. Govind Patel, the former chief wildlife warden of Gujarat, told the Indian Express newspaper that Gir could accommodate only 270 lions, forcing some prides to settle outside the boundaries of the sanctuary. India's Supreme Court has ruled that Gujarat needed to relocate some of its lions to other states to avoid the possibility of disease or other disaster wiping out the entire population. However the state has expressed reluctance and has not yet complied with the order.

Business / Microsoft To Buy Linkedin For $26bn by duplexDan(m): 10:26pm On Jun 13, 2016
Microsoft is buying the professional networking website LinkedIn for just over $26bn (£18bn) in cash.
The software giant will pay $196 a share - a premium of almost 50% to Friday's closing share price.
The deal will help Microsoft boost sales of its business and email software.
Microsoft said that LinkedIn would retain its "distinct brand, culture and independence". Ben Wood, head of research at CCS Insight, said the deal would give Microsoft access to the world's biggest professional social network with more than 430 million members worldwide.
"That's a valuable asset that can be deeply integrated with a number of Microsoft assets such as Office 365, Exchange and Outlook. That said, Microsoft has stated that the company will continue to operate as an independent business, so we'll have to see how deeply the integration occurs," Mr Wood said.
Ever had one of those annoying LinkedIn emails inviting you to "endorse" a contact for some skill or another? Perhaps LinkedIn chief executive Jeff Weiner and its founder Reid Hoffman deserve to be endorsed for salesmanship after today's deal. After a tricky period in which the shares have fallen amid widening losses, they have persuaded Microsoft to make its biggest deal. The software giant is paying a 50% premium on Friday's closing share price to buy LinkedIn, a price which amounts to $250 (£170) for every active user. To put that into context, that's about the market value of Sky, or eight times as much as Daily Mail owner DMGT - and they are both profitable. But this deal is about more than money: it is meant as a powerful signal of where Satya Nadella is now taking Microsoft. He sees its future as a cloud computing business providing all sorts of professional services to clients - including a social network to connect them to each other.
"We are trying to ride the wave of the new technologies," Mr Nadella told me from Seattle.
"It's about AI, it's about mobile, it's about cloud and we're trying to bring those things together." However, the deal to buy Nokia's mobile phones division had a similar logic - and the entire value of that purchase was written off just a year later. So Microsoft's investors may look at that $26bn price tag nervously, while anyone with a few LinkedIn shares may be using the network to send a message of congratulations to their board. Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella said he had long admired LinkedIn : "I have been thinking about this for a long time."
The deal was "key to our bold ambition to reinvent productivity and business processes", he added. The company planned a different approach to integrating LinkedIn to preserve its culture and brand, Mr Nadella said: "That's what's going to be very very different about this."
Microsoft had a long record of successfully integrating acquisitions, he explained, citing Minecraft - the video game whose maker it bought in 2014 for $2.5bn - as well as its very first purchase: the presentation software PowerPoint for $14m in 1987.
LinkedIn shares soared 47%, or $61.50, to $ 192.60 in New York following the announcement of the deal.
Shares in the company, which floated in May 2011, have fallen by more than 40% this year. The stock plunged by a quarter in February after the company issued a profit warning for the first quarter and reported an annual loss of $166m. Ivan Feinseth, analyst at Tigress Financial Partners, said that LinkedIn was a great business "even though the company stubbed their toe back in February. It's a premium company and it deserves a premium valuation."
Shares in Microsoft fell 2.6% to $50.16, bringing the decline this year to almost 10%. 'Incredible opportunity' Jeff Weiner will remain chief executive, reporting to Mr Nadella. He and Reid Hoffman - the chairman, co-founder and controlling shareholder of LinkedIn - both backed the deal.
"Today is a re-founding moment for LinkedIn," said Mr Hoffman. "I see incredible opportunity for our members and customers and look forward to supporting this new and combined business."
LinkedIn has been trying to expand by offering users more messaging options, mobile apps and a revamped "newsfeed" to help boost engagement. Last year, the site pledged to send less frequent and "more relevant" messages after numerous user complaints .
The takeover is by far the biggest acquisition made by Microsoft, which paid $8.5bn for Skype in 2011 and bought Nokia's mobile phone business for $7.2bn in 2013.
The LinkedIn acquisition also eclipses the $19bn that Facebook paid for WhatsApp in 2014. Despite having a cash pile of about $92bn, Microsoft said it would pay for LinkedIn mostly by issuing new debt.
It expects the deal, which must be approved by regulators in the US, EU, Canada and Brazil, to generate annual savings of $150m by 2018.
Computers / Three Reasons Why Linkedin Sold To Microsoft For $26 Billion by duplexDan(m): 9:51pm On Jun 13, 2016
LinkedIn is now "Microsoft-owned LinkedIn," a distinction that cost Microsoft just a little north of $26 billion.
In the deal, which still has to receive the expected regulatory approvals, Microsoft paid $196 a share, a 50 percent premium on LinkedIn’s $131 closing price on Friday.
So why did LinkedIn sell, especially after CEO Jeff Weiner had long touted it as an independent entity?
Here are three reasons why.
1. LinkedIn’s stock was struggling. LinkedIn’s stock was down more than 43 percent since July of last year, and there wasn’t much reason to believe it would regain that value anytime soon. Clearly, Weiner and LinkedIn’s board agreed, starting talks just after its troubled February report in which the company had lowered its forecasts. Microsoft bought LinkedIn for $196 a share, which is a very nice bump from its current price, although that’s still much lower than its high of nearly $270 back in early 2015. Remember that heady time? Investors did, which was one of the issues.
2. LinkedIn’s ad business was slowing down. While recruitment services are the big sales driver at LinkedIn, advertising represents roughly 18 percent of LinkedIn’s business, a significant segment that has been trending in the wrong direction. When LinkedIn reported Q4 earnings earlier in February, one of the concerns was that its ad business grew just 20 percent for the quarter year over year; that compared to growth of 56 percent in the same quarter the year before. Research firm eMarketer predicted LinkedIn’s U.S. digital ad revenue would fall from 35 percent growth in 2015 to less than 10 percent growth this year. In other words, LinkedIn wasn’t selling ads the way people expected it to. And joining forces with Microsoft might help, since LinkedIn may now be able to sell ads alongside Microsoft Office’s suite of products that reach a lot more people than LinkedIn’s current user base. Or, at the very least, Microsoft may be able to drive more users to LinkedIn, giving the company more eyeballs to entice marketers.
3. LinkedIn’s growth was a concern. LinkedIn didn’t grow much in 2015 and it was a problem to investors used to more from the well- liked Weiner. The company continued to add more members, or people with LinkedIn profiles, but the number of unique visitors didn’t grow from Q1 to Q2 and then again from Q3 to Q4. The people who were visiting in Q4 were also looking at fewer pages on the site (see the ad issues mentioned above).
LinkedIn’s growth rebounded at the beginning of 2016, but as we’ve learned from Twitter, growth problems tend to stick around and are harder to fix going forward. If claims by Weiner and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella bear out, the deal should be able to help grow LinkedIn’s audience through a combination of integrations with Microsoft Office and a possible subscription tie- up.
