This is an issue I raised some days ago. It is the people who even play on emotions to scam people for me. I hope more people get this awareness to stay alert at all times. Thank you for sharing this really.

As a small business owner, one of my fears is being scammed by suppliers. I've heard different stories of business owners being scammed and it gives me this fear cos imagine getting scammed amidst these economic challenges being faced in Nigeria already.

Unfortunately, I had a taste of those scammers and I wish I had known earlier about Truecaller in my business journey; it could have prevented scams by providing verified caller IDs whenever I have a call.
Now, I use Truecaller to confirm identities of callers and conduct business with peace of mind.

The other day, my mom called me and gave me the gist of how a shop owner close to her was almost scammed of N120,000.

When I asked her for the full details, she said someone called her and pretended to be her distant cousin who was in the hospital and needed help. Luckily for her, an app on the woman's phone (Truecaller) revealed the true identity of the caller and that’s how she got saved.

After this incident, my mother downloaded Truecaller sharp, sharp!

Haha..... Your father is a wise man, I must say. If he didn't have Truecaller in his phone, ow would he have known tho? I guess this Truecaller app is really a thing.

I need to put my om on this because na them they fall for things like this.

Lucky you that the person called right in time before clicked on the last digit. Scammers really do not know bouandaries.

Truecaller is saving lives. Imagine if you did not try to verify the number and you just gave out your details, that would have been really sad. More people need to be aware of how this app works for real.
