EducationJAMB Warns Cyber Cafe Owners Against Overcharging Candidates by Dvtechbase(op): 12:13pm On Jul 25, 2018
Private Cyber Cafe operators have been warned by JAMB against extortion of prospective candidates who want to upload their results on the board’s website.
The Head of Media of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, gave the caution in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Benjamin said that the caution became necessary following several complaints made to the board by the victims, on fraudulent activities by some private café operators.

He said the candidates complained of high amount of money they were being charged by such operators to upload their WAEC results on JAMB website.

“Not only do they charge them high, they also convince candidates who had already uploaded their results on the site to do same again.

“Candidates who have had their results uploaded at the point of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration need not do that again, except for those who registered with awaiting results.

“Those are the ones allowed to upload now on our website.
“This upload should not cost more than N100.

“No cyber café should charge more than this amount, however, if candidates can locate any of our Computer Based Test (CBT) Centres, it is free to make the upload there,”Benjamin said.

NAN correspondent who visited some of the cyber cafés in Bwari reports that while some charge a negotiable N500, few charge up to N1, 000 for the result upload.

The exercise follows the recent release of 2018 WAEC results and the announcement by JAMB that“leaders of institutions agreed that the First Choice Admission would be conducted from July 2 to Oct. 16’’.

SportsRonaldo’s Ability To Prove Himself In Different Leagues Is Why He Is The GOAT!!! by Dvtechbase(op): 7:12am On Jul 13, 2018
The Portugal captain is aiming for a league title in a third country and a Champions League with a third club and that demonstrates his brilliance
For anyone wondering to what extent the very presence of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo had on each other’s performance the answer will be coming up very shortly.

It’s difficult to conceive of one of the greatest ever sports rivalries in the past tense but there’s a new reality now that Ronaldo has left Real Madrid for a new challenge at Juventus.

The football world will never be the same again; he’s not retired but any match between Juventus and Barcelona involving Ronaldo and Messi will never come close to having that same kind of spice that their Clasico meetings have had down throughout the years.

It has been a big, brave decision from Ronaldo to hang up that No.7 shirt at Santiago Bernabeu and move to a club that simply cannot match the international prestige and lustre of Madrid.

However compelling the reasons to stay, Ronaldo clearly felt there was more to give elsewhere.

He has been so effective at Madrid that the only targets he could realistically set for himself would be to improve the records he already holds.

No one footballer – from Alfredo Di Stefano to Zinedine Zidane – can claim to have had as transformative an effect on one club’s fortunes.

But Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid days are behind him; strange as that sounds. Now’s the time where he is going to have to prove himself all over again and achieve the goals he has in mind.

Whether that’s breaching the 30-goal mark in Serie A, adding a Champions League title to his collection for another club or winning a Scudetto, it remains to be seen.

But what has got to be admired is Ronaldo’s desire for challenges.

Time and again he’s shown he’s capable of adapting; whether that’s to different managers, different circumstances, different formations or different team-mates. Quite often it’s been chaotic at the Bernabeu but the one constant has been Ronaldo’s goals.

He played under five different coaches at Real, each with their own ideas about the game and where he might best serve them. Real have not always been Liga contenders – or Champions League contenders for that matter – but he was usually their most consistent player.

For the national team, Fernando Santos solved the age-old Portuguese problem of not having a No.9 by fielding Ronaldo there instead. He did it without quibble. Portugal won their first and only senior international title and Ronaldo is their all-time top goal scorer.

Whatever your thoughts on the Messi-Ronaldo debate, it cannot be said that the Argentine has demonstrated similar resilience when in the colours of his country.

Ronaldo won titles in England with Manchester United – where he was top scorer – as well as in Europe and shown that his game can cross borders. No matter if it was Premier League, Champions League or Spanish defences, Ronaldo has come up with the goods.

Maybe it’s a moot point because Messi’s talent was such that from a young age the Barcelona team was shaped to best accommodate him. Ronaldo seemed less fussy in his surroundings so long as the supporting cast understood that he was to be supplied.

And that is what separates him from Messi in one regard. Fans will always wonder if Messi could have done it in another league and ruminate on the reasons he couldn’t get the job done for Argentina.

None of that conjecture applies to Ronaldo. And if he can succeed in a third major European league – at 33 – then his reputation will grow higher.

There is no doubt that Juventus is a step down; Madrid are a class apart in terms of Champions Leagues and put them out of the competition last season thanks in part to Ronaldo’s bicycle kick.

But it’s a new kind of challenge.

Juve are well-equipped to win Serie A even without the Ballon d’Or holder in their ranks. Even still, he is not the kind of player around whom a new team should be constructed. Gonzalo Higuain will probably go because it was proven at Real Madrid that there isn’t space enough for both of them in the one line-up.

So, Ronaldo will come into the attack and gorge himself on through-balls and crosses.

And by the end of this experiment he could well become the first man to hold titles in Italy, Spain and England and one of the select few to win Champions League titles at three different clubs.

Aside from money or tax wrangles or feeling unloved, that is the sporting objective ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo; the man who’s never met a challenge he couldn’t overcome.

SportsRooney: Everton Made It Clear They Wanted Me To Leave by Dvtechbase(op): 7:02am On Jul 13, 2018
The forward's decision to move to MLS was prompted by the club telling the former England striker he did not feature in their plans
Wayne Rooney has revealed that Everton "made it clear" they wanted him to leave the club before his move to DC United last month.

Rooney returned to Goodison Park last July following a trophy-laden 13-year stint at Manchester United, and went on to net 11 goals for the Toffees, finishing 2017-18 as their top scorer.

The 32-year-old failed to find consistency in an often-struggling side, though, and new manager Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands confirmed in June that the former England captain was in talks with MLS club DC.

The forward finally completed the move on June 28, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract, suggesting at the time that the decision to leave Merseyside was not just down to him, though Silva had claimed the club were open to Rooney staying.

He has now expanded on the reasons behind his move, saying that it became clear that he did not feature in the club's first-team plans.

Rooney - who is set to make his debut against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday - He said "Obviously at Manchester United that [playing] wasn't happening as much as I would have liked and I quite easily could have stayed there with two years left on my contract and picked up the wages and been happy with that and that's it.

"But I wanted to play, went back to Everton and had a year there, then as I've said before, Everton made it clear towards the end of the season that they'd be happy for me to leave.

"For whatever reason, I still don't know. I felt I was doing okay, I was top goal scorer [despite] playing most of the season from midfield.

"But that's football. And that gave me a decision to make, and I made this decision."

"I said to Everton, 'Listen, I'm not a kid and if this [leaving the club] is what you want, tell me. If you want me to stay, tell me' and we talked about it.

"So, this option became available as well as a few different ones, and I just felt this was the right one."

SportsChelsea Pay £9 Million To Ditch Conte And Begin Sarri Era by Dvtechbase(op): 6:47am On Jul 13, 2018
The likes of Jorginho, Alisson, Golovin and Rugani have been lined up to join the new boss at Stamford Bridge as Conte inches towards the exit
Antonio Conte is set for a lucrative parting of ways with Chelsea after two seasons in charge, with Maurizio Sarri waiting in the wings as the next Blues boss.

The ex-Juventus and Italy coach's future has been under fierce speculation for months after he failed to follow up a Premier League-winning debut campaign with success in 2017-18.

But sports sources understands that Chelsea and Conte have now agreed a £9 million ($12m) severance package to remove him from first-team coaching duties.

Conte took the Blues training on Thursday morning, but his exit is now imminent and Chelsea's players had the afternoon off.

Ex-Napoli coach Sarri, meanwhile, could be presented as his replacement as early as Friday, with the Blues squad already informed over the change in management.

While Chelsea's pursuit of Sarri has been rocky since the end of the season, the club is already working on several transfers requested by the Italian, including a group of targets from Serie A.

Napoli midfielder Jorginho may be the first player to join his former coach in swapping southern Italy for London, as he prepares to take a medical at Stamford Bridge ahead of a €58m transfer.

Brazil and Roma No.1 Alisson is another player currently in talks with Chelsea, with current goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois heavily linked to Real Madrid.

And Sarri's transfer wishlist is rounded out by CSKA Moscow's Aleksandr Golovin, whose stock has risen in recent weeks following a sterling World Cup, and young Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani.

Eden Hazard and Willian, meanwhile, have been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge, with lucrative moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively mooted for the two attacking stars.

Sarri spent a total of three seasons at Napoli, guiding the club to the Champions League in each of his campaigns and establishing them as Scudetto contenders for the first time since the days of Diego Maradona.

Carlo Ancelotti replaced Sarri as Napoli coach following the end of the season, with a Chelsea move having been on the cards since Conte's relationship with the club's senior management turned sour in 2017-18.

PhonesTop 10 Andriod Smartphones By Antutu Benchmark Score 2018 by Dvtechbase(op): 4:48pm On Mar 13, 2018
What is AnTuTu Benchmark?

AnTuTu is one of the most popular benchmark apps for Android devices. It tests many parts of your device and assigns an overall score.

How is the benchmark score calculated?

Like other benchmark apps, AnTuTu gives your device an overall numerical score as well as individual scores for each test it performs. The overall score is created by adding the results of each individual score together.

These score numbers don’t mean much on their own; they’re just useful for comparing different devices. For example, if your device’s score is 1000, a device with a score of 2000 is about twice as fast. Individual test scores can be used to compare relative performance between different parts of a device for example, to compare how fast a phone’s storage performs compared to another phone’s storage. Here is the top 10 AnTuTu benchmark score for flagship android devices as at January 2018.

On the shipping aspect, one of the number one problems of mini importers is shipping or let me say freight forwarders but it all depends on the shipping or freight forwarder that you will be using and also the period.

Will talk more on this later

PhonesNokia 8110 4G Full Specs And Review by Dvtechbase(op): 8:20am On Mar 02, 2018
Nokia is out again, dusting and remodeling its old devices and adding a little twist to suite current trends. This is evident with the launch of the Nokia 8110 4G device at the recently concluded MWC in Barcelona.

Nokia under the watchful eyes of Finnish firm HMD Global, launched the Nokia 8110 4G which is nicknamed the banana phone. The phone comes with a 2.45-inch display with a resolution of 240 pixels by 320 pixels.

The Nokia 8110 4G is powered by 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 processor and it comes with 512MB of RAM. The phone packs 4GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Nokia 8110 4G packs a 2-megapixel primary camera on the rear.

The Nokia 8110 4G runs KAI OS and is powered by a 1500mAh removable battery. It measures 133.45 x 49.30 x 14.90 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 117.00 grams.

The Nokia 8110 4G is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks)

Nokia 8110 4G – Design And Features

Nokia knows how silly it looks, and is launching it in Banana Yellow. Like its namesake, there’s a cover that hides the numeric keypad although this isn’t spring-loaded, as the mechanism adds extra bulk and weight according to Nokia.

Given its slightly-different name, this new Nokia 8110 is 4G-enabled. Nokia wants its customers to use this as a 4G hotspot or, alternatively, scroll through your Facebook feed with the dedicated app.

Remember the snake game of old, well Snake has slithered its way back. Although, it’s not the same Snake as you remember. Instead, it’s colorful and there are a few challenge levels to keep you satisfied. Gameloft has tinkered with Snake’s simplicity, adding more graphics and awesome user experience.
