the problem is he's saying method of payment would either be through invoice, payoneer or paypal... for reasons i cant understand, he's not wanting to use the conventional fiver payment method

In fact someone just told me that same thing. I sent an offer from buyers request he/she replied with Gmail address and says he'll pay with paypal/payoneer/skill.

I simply replied that I prefer to get paid through fiverr and every deal should be on fiverr. Better to lose 20% than get scammed. The person is even Indian imagine.

Calm down. It is normal. Everything has got its own place and time. Work on your present orders. Nudge your previous clients. Ask them if they have new jobs. I am presently occupied with the jobs my old clients are given me that I can't even take new orders right now.

i reg with fiverr on 26/02 courtesy of my day one nigga cc wheesin and got my first order within 4hours


gotten over 5 orders since then,
my issue is with a client who i wrote an article for, she was quite impressed and promised to give me a good review( shes a level 2 seller),

the lady later gave me three more jobs but i had a crazy exam at hand and told her I'll not be able to complete it within my express delivery time of 24hrs or if she could chill and get all the three articles by the third day, haven't heard from her since then and no reviews yet, been mailing her with no response, any suggestions on what to do

No need to worry as long as neither of you have canceled the order and by now I'm guessing it is late already. First rule is always try not to get into the late delivery situation.

Something similar happened to me one time, the lady ordered for my gig without details, I messaged her and asked for details and it took her 12 hours to provide the details and further questions were left unanswered. The order duration was 3 days and through those three days, she didn't reply and I didn't understand what to do. On the last day I finally got a grab of what she wanted me to do but there was no way I would be able to make a proper delivery that day, I sent a message in form of a delivery apologizing for a possible delay in the delivery. Still no response. Two days later I finished the work and delivered again. Still no response. The order was automatically marked 3 days later, no review, nothing. The work was about $20 or so. Point is some people just don't pay attention to certain things.

If the lady you worked for doesn't reply, do the job at your own convenience and deliver. Maybe somehow you can use the method I mentioned above. Send a fake delivery with apologies in it. Your buyer might request for a modification or do nothing about it, either ways you buy yourself more time. If you're fortunate enough you might meet one who's willing to do a mutual cancellation and extend the duration.

Now you guys are really out to make me go through the whole of this thread; and I trusted you guys with everything I ever had in my Freelancer life. Do you even know that the whole thread is like over 160 pages? I mean who does that? Read a thread of over 160 pages?

LOL! A lot of people do that. I don't really use Freelancer but I use Fiverr and before I started, I went through every thread that had to do with Fiverr and downloaded several ebooks. In fact it took me about two days before I admitted I was good to go. Up till now I jump into any discussion board that has to do with Freelancing. It's not punishment, it is to avoid any sad stories and keep one abreast of the various changes, methods and strategies. If you are wise you would take this Freelancing of a thing serious. Take it as a business enterprise and you would be surprised your income will go from passive to active cos you can actually make good money independent of any other job or source of income.

So try and go through the thread instead of asking questions that has already been treated on this same thread. Thank you.

Fiverr is a name derived from Five ...So it pronounced like 5ver NOT LIKE "Fever" - an ailment.

It is derived from Five because the least you can charge a buyer is $5. When complete your order and buyer accepts the job, Fiverr takes 10% while you pocket 90%.

So, in this case, you will be paid $4 wile $1 goes to Fiverr.

So, when you write your description (after thorough research), put your basic gig at $5.

Can you make more than $5? Yes, you can.

You can make more can $5 by offering GIG EXTRAs.

You basic gig IS NOT expected to be a TOTAL PACKAGE.

NO PLEASE !!!!! NEVER OFFER A TOTAL PACKAGE GIG AS BASIC GIG.

Let us look at a scenario.

For a SOCIAL MEDIA GIG e.g Facebook fan page likes.

Your basic gig could be "I will give your page real 1000 likes for $5
Gig Extra 1 = i will add 2000 likes for extra $10
GIg Extra 2 = i will add 4000 likes for $15


Do not write your basic : I will give your fan page 5000 real likes

Point of Correction Sir, Fiverr takes 20% of money earned on every order.

My first one week on fiverr made Nescafe my close pal and I indeed made good bucks but the following week was hell. I couldn't focus at all. Now I just do the ones I can do. After all, what we get on a basic gig on fiverr is something nobody will pay you in Nigeria here except you're a big name. Contentment is key. Just focus on the important ones.
