Minimum Requirements:

 A bachelor’s degree in a business related field;
 A minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in banking with in depth understanding of digital banking. Must have at least 3 years in a management role. Experience with a Telco is an added advantage;
 A go getter with demonstrable experience developing and implementing sales & business development strategies;
 Ability to build and nurture new relationships, effectively negotiate and close deals with institutional executives;
 Existing relationships with decision makers at organizations delivering financial services or otherwise innovating in the financial inclusion space;
 Familiarity with prevailing digital trends, ecommerce and digital vendors and applications in the financial services or ecommerce;
 Deep domain knowledge of financial inclusion challenges, solutions, and trends;
 Adept at understanding ever-changing Mobile Industry including device operating systems, carriers, new technologies, innovations and best in class experiences.
 Direct selling experience in smartphone and or telecom business.

Responsibilities:

Collect, verify and analyze thoroughly newsworthy information.
Assemble findings into a stable story and write news stories with the reader’s perspective in mind.
Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips.
Abide by journalism’s ethics and codes.
Contact, interview and research news sources.
Cooperate with reporters, chief editor, producers etc in news content production.
Monitor daily events locally, nationally and internationally and assist others to gather current events.
Coordinate with news editor and fellow reporters to develop story ideas for report writing.
Maintain relations with all news sources on daily basis to develop story ideas and compile appropriate reports.
Perform research and write international, local and national news.
Analyze and ensure accurate and crisp news reporting to avoid ambiguity and redundancy.
Coordinate with graphics department to obtain visual elements for each story with appropriate photos or graphics.

Education:

BSc/HND degree in journalism or mass communications or any degree with proven passion.
