PoliticsRe: Nonso-Maduakor Wrongfully Charged For Cynthia's Murder by dzeph: 9:57pm On Aug 30, 2012
Hello ‎ friends,my name is Ifeyinwa Maduakor Nwaka. I know how some of us feel about broadcasts, but please, read this one .I am sure that most of us are familiar with the story of Cynthia who was murdered by her facebook friends on the 21st of July. On the 20th of August,(ONE MONTH LATER) a policeman in mufti walked into Oxpharm pharmacy where my nephew, chukwunonso Maduakor worked as an intern. He asked for the drug Rohypnol flunitrazepam and Chukwunonso demanded for a doctor's prescription but the man pleaded with him on the grounds that he had an accident. And needed the drug to be able to sleep. Nonso said he felt that d man,who looked clean and responsible, didn't look like someone who would abuse the drug and thus, sold it to him. Suddenly, plain clothed policemen swooped on him, manhandled him and went away with him to festac police satation. He was thereafter arraigned in court alongside his colleague,Osita, who the police accused of selling the drug to the murders of Cynthia. Nonso was on Monday paraded as one of the killers of Cynthia alongside the known murderers. I ask,is that justice? Nonso, the best graduating student of pharmacy dept of Igbinedion university,2011, Nonso, president of Pharmacy students Fellowship,in his time and a youth pastor of the redeemed Christian Church of God should not be subjected to this horror. Please rebroadcast this to salvage the future of this young man who is being held unjustly at the Ikoyi prison. If there is anything u can do to help us,please, call me on 08023275269.

EducationRe: Girl With Nine A1s In WASSCE: She Is So Brilliant Her Teachers Feared Her Result by dzeph: 11:29am On Apr 20, 2012
chikk: My problem is that nigeria will not look out for such people with brains, train them to any level so they can serve their country and humanity well. All she gets now is a stupid ride in a commissioner's car and a standing ovation. As for the scholarship, its not the first time we hear such. Pls, her parents should be ready to train her o, cos, after sometime, all the promises the govt made will cease. When america hears of her, takes her out, trains her well and refuse to release her, our govt will know such a thing as brain drain
In addition, we hear of multinationals sponsoring some so called dance shows, "reality shows", (I wonder which one is not real) and some other competition that will not encourage learning but will make teenagers feel they can have their career pathway shunt. We want more of these kids found and well taken care of so that other pupils will learn to appreciate hardwork in learning/studying. Else, the brain drain will continue and some day we will only have entertainers as the average Nigerian profession and will have to depend on foreign professionals for our other needs.
