UPDATE-
1. Property prices are falling.
It's A buyers' market, economic slowdown, budget unimplemented.

2. It appears that work on dangote refinery will extend till 2021 (Reuters). Meaning the anticipated economic effects will take even longer to start.

3. NLC might go on strike this/next week due to minimum wage fallout. The threat means the NSE will likely be hammered this week. Meaning the current 13% YTD (year to date) loss- which is now lowest in the past w years- worsens.

4. Analysts are predicting a worldwide recession this year. US/China trade war is d primary reason.

5. Oil is now below our budget benchmark, and still dropping. Meaning all govt levels now have less money to spend.

My take:
Cut your spending to a very lean amount.
Find ways to put all your assets to use while riding out d downturn.
Start a side hustle THIS WEEKEND. If you're unemployed, start a N1,000 trade.

First off, I hope you realize the CBN spends average of $210m every week to shore up the value of the Naira. I hope you understand this money goes somewhere which may be anywhere including food imports. Also, I hope you also know that smuggling is getting more lucrative in Nigeria due to our porous borders.
I hope you also consider the level of agricultural mechanization needed to feed abt 200m people does not exist in Nigeria. That's why we still have food imports.
Lastly, Between OBJ and GEJ, there was two years of Yar'adua in which he reversed almost everything done towards the end of OBJ's tenure including fuel price increase and denounced the rest while making efforts to ostracize those he felt where OBJ's men from his govt including GEJ. So I don't know where you got ur theory from
