why flash all these roms when android seven is just around the corner

There something I have noticed about my hot 2....

When you put your browsing Sim on only edge (or you are in an area with no 3g) and you put the data on, calls don't come through the other Sim (it appears to be switched off when someone calls you).

Initially I thought it was a lollipop bug but after upgrading to marshmallow, it's still the same.

Someone here can check on his phone and let me know if it's the same for all or whether I have a defective phone.. Thanks

help me my people here....am already on marshmallow but I have an update which says it will upgrade my Android one to marshmallow...
and the update is scheduled for 2026

hi guys , I encountered some problems after updating to marshmallow yesterday, some of my apps force closes and even after redownloading them it continued so this guy tells me to flash my phone but before I go to flash it I want to know something

1.will it still remain on marshmallow after the flashing
2.will the flashing solve the problem of the applications force closing

please I need ur help it's urgent

if you flash it with Android one, it will take you back to lollipop. try resetting it and see if the apps will work

After upgrading to Marshmallow, my laptop no longer recognise my phone. it only charges it. I have enabled USB debugging and selected mtp but still, it only charges. Any help? it will be much appreciated. thanks

looks like marshmallow have stop coming to Infinix hot 2. I first upgraded to marshmallow and then i later flash the Infinix ROM. now I installed back android one and the marshmallow update has refused to appear for more than a month now

Those who have successfully installed marshmallow should test for USB otg and give us feedback before we also flash... Thanks

Pls how can I increase volume of hot 2. The default volume is not loud

Flash the infinix rom and you will have the sound enhancement feature that increases sound

Have patience. It will take time before it comes for the first time after flashing. Mine took almost 20mins before it finally came

3. Better app permission management
4. Motion sensor settings
5. Change font and downloaded more interesting fonts
6. My 32gb SD card was freezing my phone on android one but with infinix lollipop rom, there are no issues
7. Schedule power on and off
8. Better camera app
9. Better file manager
10. Gallery present
11. USB otg working..

......... And so much more........

How to flash Infinix ROM.
You must have the proper drivers installed on your Computers
Download Infinix ROM and the flashtool from infinixmobility.com/support

1. Open a folder on the computer desktop and name it, Infinix
2. Extract the downloaded ROM and the Infinix flash tool inside the Infinix folder.
3. Open the flash tool folder inside the Infinix folder and run the Flash_tool.exe as administrator.
3a. It will take you to the Infinix dashboard. Click on Browser.
4. This will open a Window with a number of files, ignore them to the left, look for desktop and click on it. This take you to the desktop.
5. On the desktop navigate to the infinix folder and open the folder where the extracted ROM is. It will open a window with text files.
6. Click on mt6589_android -scatter, the necessary files will be loaded. This will take back you to the Infinix dashboard.
7. Click on start.
8. Remove the SIM cards and memory card from your phone and fix and connect the USB to it.
9. Place the phone on a flat surface and then connect it to the computer.
10. Once connected, DON'T break the connection.
11. If drivers are properly installed, flashing will commence immediately with different colours showing on the progress bar.
12. When it gets to the yellow color it slows down and will run to 100 %. A tick will appear. Close in Infinix flash tool dashboard, disconnect your phone and insert the cards back in. Power on. Done.

I always get an error when installing vcom drivers. Am told it is not digitally signed. My pc has windows 8 installed..

Sadly, there is no promise that Infinix would update its own custom ROM. Android One is a Google project not just in Africa but also other part of the world, and any mobile company who embraces this project would have to agree to the T&C, Specification and provision made by Google.

Fortunately for us, Android One users will continue to receive update and patches for a period of 2years (check back of your phone's pack). So if after Marshmallow there's another OS upgrade, we would get it so long as it falls within 2yrs . However, it is dependent on the manufacturers speed at pushing these updates.

I also realised that the phone lags a little when lots of apps are in the background (like 15 or more apps).

It lacks default voice recorder..

Onscreen navigation keys are not very fast in responsiveness

Also there is a problem with battery calibration.. That I think is a bug and an update can fix it.

I installed Nova launcher and the phone became more sweeter

Just bought mine, gold colour and it has 1gb ram. I thought the gold color comes with 2gb ram.....
