oh k lets us go by your argument. how developed is uyo? you can only site few places in the entire state. how many companies have their headquarters in uyo? the only thing you can call development is the stadium. the average man from Uyo cannot afford the good things in life. the hotel le meridien is a private investment, ogbudu is a natural reserve. marginalisation my brother!!! the port in Warri isnt functional, river niger is not dredged. nigeria simply does not want to rescue the south south. that is the pain of the people cos; jonathan should have addressed so many issues concerning the south south. as it stands right now, extract the south south from nigeria and what you have is void. figure that out
I agree with you totally on this but why is it that a Jonathan-led govt "marginalised" his own people? Who would be blame for that? It was not the south-south that the federal government marginalised. It failed all round in its duties to the states! And going by the definition of marginalisation, many other states apart for SS will also cry out marginalisation. I still posit that corruption and self-neglect are the problems of the south-south people, then marginalisation

embezzlement is a different chapter my brother. we are talking development and marginalisation here. how was abuja built? how was the third mainland bridge built? in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's even when Ken Saro Wiwa was fighting for compensation over pollution was there Ibori, Odili, Alams, Amaechi and Igbinedion as you have mentioned?
the issue of development of the niger delta should have been a federal concern n not state. marginalisation is too much. just too much
I get your point my brother and I am so happy to get someone very rational and mature like you. No one can rule out the case of marginalization but in the real sense, how many cities in Nigeria are truly developed because of special attention from the federal government? I guess you will mention the north but how many of them in the real sense? I only see Abuja, Kaduna and Kano in the picture. You know why? This same corruption will not allow it despite the cheating on our SS brothers.

But among some names I have mentioned, I am trying hard to mention names from Akwa Ibom and Cross River who are at par with them in that category. That is the major reasons why Uyo and Calabar are about the most developed in Nigeria. They were marginalized too but they refused to marginalize themselves. I'm not absolving them of corruption, but it is not as pronounced as that of their counterparts. You won't see them chase and assasinate themselves. They have more of patriots than traitors

THEIR GOVERNMENThuh are you recuperating at all? marginalisation wont let it be!!! the crisis only started around 1997 or 1998. Nigeria has been feeding on oil from the south since the 1950ies. brother, it is not right at all.
Oh! I see. Do you have an idea of how much the likes of Ibori, Odili, Sylva and Alamesigha, Amaechi, Igbinedion embezzled? Don't you know the figure is way beyond what is published in the newspapers? Is the amount gone into personal coffers so negligible that it wouldn't have mattered?

I clearly understand your angle but corruption is the major bane I'm talking about here.

I really hope the likes of Murray Bruce will back their words with actions. If that is so, you will see a different south south
TravelRe: 8 Most Developed Towns/Cities In The South-South In Pictures. by EagleScribes: 4:37pm On May 11, 2015
Sapele? See those buildings.

Meanwhile, I believe SS people deserve more than these if only their government stay away from corruption. These cities should compete with the best in Africa but their own people will not let it be

SportsRe: Kelechi Iheanacho: Striker Or Attacking Midfielder? by EagleScribes: 10:40pm On Apr 30, 2015
kenex4ever:
ur analysis is correct but I think d best position for him is attacking mid field or false nine like messi used to play b4. This guy is short and can b easy over shadowed by huge defenders, a top nine must have aerial advantage, datz y u c sanches playing behind giroud. Nacho does not have d physicality of a top nine but will shine bright when played as an attacking mid fielder just as safarigirl said.
Iheanacho is short? Like seriously? this is Kelechi Iheanacho we are talking about here, not Pius Ikedia

TheGoodJoe:

At Manchester City, Aguero drops deep to create for his team mates. If you watch the Man City preseason games, Nacho did that too.

Playing Nacho as a striker will not kill his creative instincts. Look at Wayne Rooney when he leads the attack for Van Gaal.
I have to agree with you on this. As a matter of fact, I see him as an upgrade of Rooney in the future and hope he's fully fit for the WYC.

TheGoodJoe:
Manchester City now have a youth policy. That is why most signings have been mature like Lampard, Sagna, Demeichelis, Caballero. This is to give the youths time to develop.

Man City built the new Etihad campus which is worth a hundred million pounds because they want to start nurturing stars than buying stars.

One of the heads of Barca's youth project, Txiki is now at City. One of the head youth coaches of Barca is in City too. The club is changing direction and Nacho is a huge part of that project. Nacho excelling will be a proof that the City's youth policy is working.

Even if the coach is changed, the policy and holistic approach of the same playing style at all levels will continue.

Very soon, we will see youngsters breaking into the City side. They just need time to develop.
Man City and Chelsea are similar but you know what? The club is all about instant success. As a coach, if you don't succeed, you are fired and no one will want to risk that except for Wenger.

This will make it difficult for youngsters to be given a chance. Ask from Chelsea youth players

Manchester City have big plans for Nacho. Note, most of the Flying Eagles players are looking for exposure to get to kind of place Nacho is.

From that view, he is on track. I hope Man City treats the National side of Nacho's career seriously. Just as Man City overlooked the importance of the CHAN tournament.
See City is not a traditional club like Liverpool or Man United and they don't give their youth players so much chance. Pellegrini rated Nacho highly but what happens if Pellegrini leaves and another coach comes in? That will be a different philosophy, different method and approach. The only saving grace is if the new coach will give him a chance. Don't forget Kelechi has an issue with work permit. Playing for his country at CHAN would have helped too

I hope it works out for Nacho because that guy has mad potential.
That will be very very difficult as he's place is not sure in the flying Eagles squad. Imagine if he had shone like Taiwo Awoniyi with the U-23s, he'd have had a chance at all African games, Olympics and Super Eagles.

Believe me, his potential is under threat

Remember Nacho was a minor when the deal took place. He fought to go to FC Porto because he wanted to play along side his friend Chidera Ezeh. Remember when Nacho's father declared him missing?

He did not want the Man City deal but he was a minor and he had little say.
Whatever the case may be, no one else should be blamed apart from his family members, and maybe greedy agents
