are you blaming poch or stingy levy that refuses to let troubled eriksen and vertonghen leave and also refuses to release funds for transfer?
Cut poch some crap..dude is a gem irrespective of whatever

The Coach is usually the scapegoat for whatever happens at the club, Eriksen doesn't wanna stay, Vertongen and Alderweried are past it, Son is already talking to Bayern Munich

But Pochettino will be sacked soon

He doesn't really have to play. If you asked me, I would say he isn't fully integrated into the team since he's always off injured. Training with the team is key especially as we now have some young players in the team he isn't really familiar with.

This would have been the perfect opportunity to invite a young RB playing in the NPFL and perhaps change his career trajectory

I should extend same quest to other home groomed players.....but you choosed to go wayside....

You don't believe in the millions of kids playing football in Nigeria that's why you are worried about a half caste kid that may change allegiance

Do try to have belief in millions of Nigerian homegrown kids or go support the English national team

This moves to get this foreign born lads are getting almost clandestine. You just sit back and allow the foreign system develop them. After all, your own system is moribund and diseased. The players in your system are over aged and have stunted development. You don't bother about the home front, who cares anyway. After these foreign born are moulded into stars in another system then you come knocking on the door, "Hello lad, do you know you're Nigerian?"

From the writeup I read, some people made such insinuations.

What i'm implying is that upbringing helps in making those kids raised abroad have stronger connection with their roots. Some of these kids don't feel like Nigerians and doesn't want to be associated with the country eg Dele Ali, Barkley etc. So they dont even have that option. How are u sure they have Nigerian passport to start with?

That someone represents a foreign country doesn't make him less Nigerian. It has to do with the mindset. I used Antony Joshua as an example.
I ones watched a tv documentary of Serge Gnabry discuss about his Ivorian root and how he supports local kids in his little way.

Yeah but according to Komekn those like Tammy Abraham, Dele Alli must be forced to be 'fully Nigerian' even if they don't want anything to do with Nigeria

You can't be a full citizen of two countries. You will always be loyal to one than the other, no matter what. Why do you think a lot of countries have constitution against people with dual citizenship holding some certain key and sensitive position.

Although, the context here is football. But on technical grounds, you can't be a full citizen of two countries at the same time because of loyalty and division of interest.

Exactly

Are you telling me as a 20 year old professional you don't know what country you want to play for?

Don't deceive yourself, those who consider Nigeria are because they are no position to choose, Sheyi Ojo, Akpom etc

For me,to say that someone is not a Nigerian because he/she was born and raised abroad is nonsensical and also a myopic view. I think parents has a big role to play in shaping the mindsets of these young chaps by imbibing their culture in them early enough. I believe that a kid brought up in foreign land with a grounded knowledge about his/ her roots will always associate himself/herself with their country of origin(not necessarily represent them). Take Antony Joshua as an example.
I have also seen kids that were raised abroad speak their native language perfectly.

As for not having alot of young homegrown lads coming through the ranks when we have talented kids littered in the country, the NFF and underaged coaches are to blame for that. They are too lazy to scout for talents hence they resort to a quick fix by allowing overaged players fill those slots.
The sports sector is not different from other sectors where bribery, diversion of funds and all sorts of corruption are noticed in a shameful and alarming way.

My point is,I dont blame anybody for choosing not to represent Nigeria,it is their choice which has to be respected. Some will also prefer to represent us regardless. For me everyone is needed as far as the talent is there regardless of where the individual is raised. The team benefits from it as there will be healthy competition amongst players.

Nobody said once you're born abroad you are not Nigerian but if you have two passports you have to choose where your loyalty lies

Abraham has made his choice and is fully English, Iwobi has made his choice and is fully Nigerian, you can be fully citizens of both countries as Komekn was insinuating
