when the invitation came he rejected it and told the english fa that his heart is with nigeria but the fa swooped in to persuade him through his club management before he accepted the call up.

he wasn't invited for the england u21 games this term. let' just wait and see how thing unfold but i am very sure that eze wants to play for nigeria

Let me go to his social media and verify your claims

What do u mean by Tomori's invite wasn't official?
The NFF approached him and he said we should give him time...
Is it until we announce it to the whole world before u will agree that there was an official approach for him?

That was how u said Pinnick never meet with Tammy Abraham in London and that Tammy never turned us down..

No we should have gone with a whole local government on Osun state to make it official grin

Tomori was not invited officially just speculation , we waited for him to blow then we remembered him, that's why dem say "know me when i'm poor"

What prevents the NFF from inviting all these outstanding promising players 6/7 of them give them a sense of belonging , understand invitation is not selection, if they prove themselves then SELECTION.

Come the January window if Eze get taken up by Southampton or anybody else in the EPL then we will suddenly remember him.

WRONG APPROACH

Oh, call up is not on consistent performance when it comes to foreign players?

How do you know NFF has not been talking to them or you want them to hear about their invitation in the internet and reject us publicly?

I didn’t join this discussion from the beginning so I may be lost. But let’s not be too sentimental. Eze was called up to a get together by Rohr and he honored it. Why did England still invite him after then?

He even accepted U20 invitation, how do we know that Eze wants to play for us

We saw how Abraham used a Nigerian invite to hassle English FA, Adarabioyo is testing out Nigerian jerseys, Sheyi Ojo has pledged to Nigeria

What has Eze done to show we are not in a wild goose chase

in all fairness if you are in Eze shoes. ...at this point should the English FA give you a call up will you refuse?

considering you've lived in England all your life, you even play there....and Nigeria have refused to call you up.

He is not accepting because Nigeria refused to call him up, he's accepting because he wants to play for England

Jordan Ibe and Philip Billing refused a Nigerian call up to play for other countries

Why do you think there are delays in getting Nigerian origin players even those capped at youth level by England.

IMO first issue is administrative incompetence the delay to get Aina was not from FIFA but the NFF, why Then the other issue is conflicting interests players already established in Europe will not understand the Egunje mentality.

Finally, considering the huge pay out to Rohr do any of you truly believes that he gets all of his salary and does not have to give a % to the powers that be . So why would anybody think he has total control over player selection.

Dude stop blasting conspiracy theories everywhere I'm very sure you would defend none of these theories if you are called up

I have said this many times before, we seem to invite players from the pages of news papers, but dont actually make an official invitation.

This has happened so many times, i have talked to quite a few of our Nigeria origin players in the UK and i always find their version of events is very different from the one the NFF presents.

Consider Ebere Eze waiting for call up but NUTTIN when England call him some of you will now say LIAR. knowing the country we are from and the nature of the NFF who is most likely to be lying

Why didn't Abraham and Tomori honor our call up?

Nonsense, Ebere Eze knows which country he wants to play for, he's not a robot or a kid

Really? Wow! U mean to say the best that got away with so much support....

Can you ask yourself all things being equal, if our local coaches ever enjoued one-tenth of the support he has had?

Not like I support our local coaches per se cos they have their issues as well. But truth needs to be told. Lets not sell our homefront short.

You think he got support without working for it? Thomas Dennerby that resigned wasn't he a foreign coach?

The thing is Rohr has the players at the tips of his hands and the players respect him, the nonsense the NFF is doing he's ignoring it and going on with his job

Btw Imama and Aigbogun got full support

But when we called up Kelechi Nwakali and Victor Osimhen after their U-17 exploits just as a way of fast-tracking them, you heard the nonsense cries didn't you? Why must the foreign borns be given this special treatment you suggest without anyone willing to cry out while we cry out when trying to encourage our special underage talents who shone at the age grades? Osimhen's call was bashed and condemned left, right and center when Rohr called him up just to begin integration of the lad because he saw he was special. Now we are reaping the benefits.

If Osimhen was foreign born, would his call have been bashed? And if as a foreign born, playing so well for Lille now, what would be the story today? That we should have capped him then, but now we have to contend with England or France for his allegiance. Thanks goodness that is not the case.

Look Sir Royalty. Nigeria have been approaching some of these lads and many of them are non-committal.
These lads should stop making it seem like it is the countries making the decisions for them. It is also their decisions and their lives. Let those that want to play for England or Nigeria or whatever country declare it from the onset and stick to it and not wait till their careers probably hit the heights of Pele where they now start singing the tune of England calling them up first.

Are you saying that Nigeria is not deserving of a player doing well in Manchester Utd or Manchester City or Arsenal or Chelsea? So na only QPR players we want abi? Only West Brom or Rotherham players are good enough for the Super Eagles and would choose the Super Eagles.

If that is the case, then we don't want such snake-like personalities near our GWG. Players who would only choose Nigeria if they are only at a not-so-high level career wise.
My question to them is this... Would they maintain same choice if they are getting the business done at a high level and making the headlines?

I think we should sort out where their allegiance lie from the onset first of all and stop giving ourselves more opportunities to get slapped in the face as seen in the case of Tomori and Abraham.
See Tosin Adarabioyo now... Famzing the GWG jersey and trying to get Nigeria's attention with his funny antics. Would he be doing so if he was still balling at Man City??

We need the really committed ones. Most of them are just considering us only because their careers aren't so great and they feel the Super Eagles is the place to be when you are at Ipswich town while England is the place to be when at Chelsea.

Is Nigeria not worthy of a Chelsea player? That is what we should address abeg and not inviting every dick and harry.

That one no dey use eye see foreign born grin

If foreign born dey play for Enyimba he go say make we invite am

You may be right. Time will tell for Bukayo Saka. Let's see if the Arsenal fame gets to his head and makes him forget he is "Nigerian." grin

The kid is getting the rave reviews and making the headlines even more than Nicolas Pepe himself. This is a test of where his allegiance truly will lie going forward.

The one decision all of the foreign born Naija kids should have sorted before they hit stardom is their international allegiance. Let them ask themselves, if I am an Arsenal or Chelsea or Man City starter at age 18, 21 or maybe 23, and I happen to be doing so well and attracting interest from my adopted nation, England (or whichever it may be) and my blood nation, Nigeria... Which should I choose?

Also, If I am not making the headlines at age 18, 21 or 23 in these big clubs, will my choice in the first question be the same?

They should sort it out from the very beginning and stick to it. That way, we know you are committed to your decision from the onset. And not waiting to play poker or cards with nations based on club career progress.

Hmm

That's my problem with some of them. They don't wanna take true responsibility for a decision that is entirely theirs.

It is true Nigeria messed up in some cases but on Abraham and Tomori, Nigeria did her best and is completely innocent.

Lol... This is funny. So he expected a call-up from Nigeria when the issue of allegiance switch was in the picture. He was approached to begin a switch and he didn't wanna commit because he clunged to hopes of England. This kid is just talking and evading the truth. He knows what he's always wanted. He should just face his England career. Wished him the best already. Trying to sound like England were his first contact is only making him sound like an ass.

He wants to blame Nigeria for his switch to England
