BusinessHow To Start A Small Scale Special Bread Production Plant In Nigeria by easytask(op): 9:55am On Oct 26, 2013
SPECIAL NUTRICIOUS BREAD PRODUCTION PLANT

Introduction
The envisaged plant is for the production of special niche bread. The plant will have a capacity for a 3 bags (50KG Flour) production working for 8 hours daily.

Bread is fast and convenient food based on wheat. There are many varieties of bread in the Nigerian Market from the general artisanal bread and to the packed bread.

Our project is the production of special niche bread which is popularly gaining recognition and sales in the market. Some of these are Sandwich Bread, Bagels, Chocolate spread, Walnut Bread, English Muffins, Honey Sandwich Bread, hard crust Bread. Potato Rosemary Bread, Soft Cheese and Pepperoni Bread, Sweet Dinner rolls, sardine bread etc.
Most special bread are available, distributed and sold in supermarkets and eateries, like the famous sardine bread baked in a shop along Airport road in Benin City, Nigeria but widely distributed.

Trends
The bread bakery landscape in Nigeria continues to be dominated by unpackaged/artisanal producers with a slight edge over the packaged/industrial baked bread. Artisanal producers continued to lead baked goods in 2013, accounting for 53% of total current value sales. Special bread consumption in Nigeria is about 5% and the figure is expected to rise to about 105 in 2014. Noteworthy is the fact that in Lagos alone over 3 million loaves of unpacked bread are sold daily.

The growing desire for convenience among consumers leading increasingly busy lifestyles and desiring a more nutritious and healthy consumption of baked goods is creating a new form of products in the specialized baked goods market This has created a gap in the specialized bread market that this project is expected to fill. Profit margin for the special bread higher that the commonly distributed bread
Scale
The plant is designed for the micro and small-scale sector in Nigeria. The plant will commence with a 50Kg flour production a day and increase the capacity as marketing mileage is achieved.
Marketing and distribution
This is Clear business to run and market in which you bake bread at home or somewhere in your community and deliver it locally to supermarkets, stores, neighbors, Eateries, schools, markets, etc. The plant will employ a creative distribution strategy to achieve up to 98% sales on production.

Machinery & Equipment
1 Dough Mixer
1 Baking Oven and pans (kerosene or gas fired depending on cost to be achieved)
1 Hand Divider
1 Working Table
Special pre-printed wrapping nylons

Manufacturing Process:
The Manufacturing process is as producing regular baked bread, the difference is the types of bread and the ingredients been used. Dough is prepared by mixing all the special niche ingredients together in a mixer. The bowl is removed and mixing is done at intervals of 40 minutes. The mixed dough is fermented for two hours, knocked back and rested for 30 minutes. The dough is divided as per the size of the loaf needed. The divided dough pieces are panned and kept for final processing. When the dough attains a particular rising, they are baked for 40 minutes at specified heat temperature. Baked dough is cooled sufficiently,
and then Packaged.

The plant will not consume electricity. Electricity usage is restricted to lighting and heat control.

Materials
The main raw material required for niche bread is wheat flour which is available in the country (though largely imported) and other materials are dependent on the type of bread you are concentrating upon.

ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE: THE #1 BUSINESS MASTERY SKILLS NEEDED TO STAY AND SURVIVE IN BUSINESS OR IN CAREER AND HOW TO GET IT

Statistics has shown that only about 99% of startup companies survive past the 5th year and of that number only about 30% keeps in business a further 5 years.

This has been attributed to many factors but most prominent is the lack of knowledge and understanding of business financials even where owners may have employed accountants in their Companies.

Also Accounting and financial intelligence is now a pre requirement for hiring and promotions in many Organizations because it is expected that one may be required to lead a project team that its successes would primary depend on the knowledge of financials.

Learning how to manage your business or a project includes the economics. Having knowledge and skill in what you do is important but you still need to gain insight into the financials of the business or project and sometimes it may require you to anticipate financial changes ahead or else collapse becomes inevitable.

Statement of affairs. This is the statement of assets and liabilities of the Business or a Project

Cashflow statements. This is a statement describing how cash flows into the concern and how they are to be effective managed.

Knowing how to interpret these documents ensures amongst others that

You can now anticipate change in your financials instead of reacting to it (Reacting to financial changes is the #1 cause of all financial failures)

You never rely on anyone again to interpret financial documents for you

You can now make better and quicker decisions

6 TIPS TO PREPARING KILLER PROPOSALS THAT WIN CONTRACTS

The word ‘send me a proposal’ are music to the ears of many Organisations. The invitation to write a proposal is a milestone in the sales circles and an opportunity to get close to the client or to propose a new project or deal.

A well prepared proposal can be decisive in winning a project or loosing one even if everything else in the sales process has gone flawlessly.

After having written over 200 proposals for Companies and Organizations in Nigeria with about 78% success rate (Some of friends actually thought this figure is low) and working and adapting best practices in proposal presentation from the best Business Development firms in the world; here i present 5 tips to writing a killer winning proposal all the time

CREATE A POWERFUL, BUT CONCISE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY.
Decision makers starts with and focus on the executive summary. So create this section with that fact in mind. Assumes the reader knows little or nothing about the subject matter

Clients buy results not tools or methodology. Quantify the result the clients expecting from engaging you. Don’t bug them with the tools you are using or methods. Sell results and results only. Focus on your clients from the beginning to the end of the proposal spend only about 10% of the entire proposal describing your capabilities and not capacity.

Size does matter. Keep your proposal as short as possible. Think quality and not quantity. except where a technical or cost detailing is required a 7 page proposal including Executive summary may be considered too 'weighty'

Use only accurate data or figures. Where you are not clear on how to present your costing or technical details; get a consultant to do so, or go and get basic knowledge on how to use numbers in presentations.

Check every details. Check for typos and use quality materials

Finish well. Use attention grabbing conclusion. Use Benefits , benefit and benefits only conclusion. Make is short probably 2 sentences on the maximum.

Perhaps you may want to greatly improve your proposal writing skills to get your views across. we have our unique proposal training course 'WRITING PROPOSALS THAT WIN CONTRACTS TRAINING'

FashionWhere To Pitch Your Talent In The Nigerian Fashion Industry by easytask(op): 8:04pm On May 04, 2013
WHERE TO PITCH YOUR TALENT IN THE NIGERIAN FASHION INDUSTRY WITH STARTUP IDEAS FOR FASHION FANATICS (PART 1)

With every season come new styles and trends, different fabrics, and more and more frocks on racks. But nowadays the sustainable buzzword is alternative fashion which deals with the other side of fashion that people don’t closely watch. From awareness of sustainable fabrics to ensuring closed loop systems – the fashion industry is heading in a direction that is ushering new opportunities for trenders.

But is there really a place for me in the Nigerian Alternative Fashion Industry? And where can I pitch my Talent? You may ask!

After having spent 2 years in an American Retail Clothing Brand (Wrangler) responsible for what goes on in the finances of the over 48 outlets in Africa and having interacted and help nurture several Fashion startups in Lagos I can definitely say I can be of advice on where to pitch your talent in the fashion Industry.

Lagos is a dream of many young designers, at least I know from the Fashion street on Adeniran Ogunsanya to Bode Thomas, to Allen Avenue to Opebi, you will discover a wide and long stream of designers and fashion enthusiasts working harder to carve their names on the Nigerian fashion Map. Some got there and some still struggling. Few to mention who are creating waves on these scene recently like Nigerian Fashion Blogist Priscillia Agbidi Philips of FAM and young designer Akpos Okodo of the popular The Ijaw girl brand, check out her her blog and styles here http://www.ijawgirl..com/. These two represent the two different fashion brand types, Priscilla is a fashion Enthusiasts but concentrate her trade on just doing the “alternate” while Akpos is the creative fabric designer who is into the Norm.

You think you have a flair for fashion and wondering where to pitch your talent, This report is about both the alternate and the Norm and comes in 2 parts. Here is part one on the alternative Fashion start up Ideas. Don’t forget to recommend to your friends and pleaseyour comment is highly welcomed

RUNWAY COACHING

A runway coach works with designers and models to help put together a fashion show.

You would help the designer with runway show casting and have an understanding of how clothes should be portrayed on the body and how the models should carry themselves, Runway coaches also work with models to help improve their runway performance,

Fashion blogging

It might be hard to believe, but influential websites debuted as small fashion blogs. They’ve since come into their own as industry thought leaders. And they sell lots of advertising too. This is where my friend Priscilla Agbidi Philips rakes in tons of money on the fashion street with her outfit FAM.

Not too much investment is needed in a fashion blog – website development and hosting can be quite inexpensive – but it will require lots of legwork. Whether you’re stalking the city streets with your iPhone in search of fashionable photo ops or following the moves of leading designers, you’ll need to be tracking changing trends at every moment.

On the plus side, a fashion blog can be a complement to your existing job.

PHOTO STYLING

Photo stylists work with photographers to scout shoot locations, get clothing to shoots, buy furniture and accessories and generally make sure the photo shoot goes as planned.

It requires a good sense of fashion, an understanding of fashion history, and the smarts to know where to source your products.

FASHION EVENT PLANNING

While it may not be about fashion, event planning is all about creating a “look” that is conceptual.

Event coordinators do everything from getting the tablecloths, flowers, musicians and making sure it all works together, It’s sort of like photo styling and fashion because it involves color and concept and creating a whole atmosphere and ambience with an event.

An event planner can start a business with almost no overhead,. And you can expect to charge at least 10,000 Naira per hour for your services.

BELT BUCKLES AND CREATIVE BUTTONS ARE A NEW CRAZE

Creating unique, fashionable belt buckles and Buttons that stand out can be both a creative outlet and a big money-maker. You can have your sketches sent to USA or china for even small order Manufacturing and then sold in exclusive stores.

Consignment Clothing Store

The low-cost way to start a clothing store and in fashion is to sell items on consignment.

Handbag and shoe Design and Manufacturing using Local Fabrics

Let us take a look at 8 out of my 100 information Technology trends for Nigeria in the coming Years.

Mobile Platforms and Apps is the next big deal for SME smart Entrepreneur

The rapid evolution of the mobile phones is destined to change our lives for good. In the past two years the number of androids and smartphones like blackberry, Htc, IPhones released into the Nigerian market is amazing. What is most revolutionary is the opportunity for young entrepreneurs to build apps for their various platforms. Opportunities like building Apps that are specifically tailored to suit the Nigerian environment, content and business, apps that can allow a church to bring teaching direct to its members which allows for interaction, collaboration and instant feedback. Apps that a business concern can use to interact via mobile phones with its teeming consumers and Contractors or Apps that are specifically tailored to suite our educational system that can allow for Study and collaboration on a subject etc.; the list is endless. With an open imagination backed by a good market survey and basic programming Language. The sky here can be the limit.

A Nigerian Location based deals search engine.

Nigerians are business people and love to do deals. Any platform that provide people a location based content and services through both web and mobile service would be good idea any day. An example can be an extensive Search engine specifically for Victoria Island in Lagos. Advertising on this kind of platform will be direct and targeted.

Mobile advertising

Ad supported mobile content will continue to grow; Startups in this market have not been able to convince consumers that the ads in their mobile content is of relevance to them. Mobile advertising will continue its upward path as advertisers look for better and more targeted formats other than SMS. May be an MMS capacity mobile advertising platform could just be the trick. New companies startup will benefit from the massive expected growth in this sector.

Film And TV Web Content delivered into mobile phones

Online TV is like cable, only with a much bigger selection of programs at your fingertips. It is tipped to be the next big thing with innovators signing deals with content providers. Entertainment and technology companies in other countries are exploring new online services that would offer film and TV content for the huge online market. Nigeria has the third largest entertainment bottom line in the world, but has not been able to leverage it for the huge and growing use of mobile communications in Nigeria. Services like video subscription and live video short play or serial telecast will be a place to put in money.

Location based Discount Shopping services.

Consumer spending has never been the same since the economic downturn. A lot of consumers resorted to financial advice and ways to cut down on spending. A lesson leant and practiced over a long period is not easily discarded. Consumers will be looking for services that make it easier to shop at a cheaper price. A mobile service that can provide discounted goods and services on a more localized level and allows users to select specific places of interest to search for discounted good or services will be profitable.

Privacy Call booth Can be back

Here’s a smart idea that could be turned into a national cottage industry: sound resistant cell phone booths can be placed in nightclubs, restaurants, libraries, on airports, train stations, at concerts, and all other places where a bit of peace and quiet is often hard to get. Why not be the first to provide this service.

Location based Event Management

Event management can go beyond the usual to take advantage of the upward rise in mobile communication. Services like event date, diary and live streaming of events on smartphones can be a very good place to start

Business Social Applications

Business applications will be fused with social apps at a faster pace than we are seeing. A lot more businesses will embrace social apps in Nigeria for business purposes instead of banning them at offices. Facebook twitter etc would become a tool of business Communications. Enterprises will focus both on use of social software and social media in the enterprise and participation in a lot of social activities to increase brand awareness. Social media jobs will continue to grow. Companies will pay a lot more attention on these tools, hence the need to hire professionals or businesses who will handle business social activities. Startups with extensive social media tools providing means to effective communication will be a booming in Nigeria in the coming years.

Waste management
50. With an increased awareness in the need for environmental conservation;
Opportunity has popped up in Nigeria in the area of waste management.
When analyzing the waste management business opportunity, I observed that two
Factors are responsible for the potential in the business and you must make sure
these two factors are in place before deciding on an area of service.

1. Population of the people
2. The amount of waste being generated daily in tonnage.
Yenagoa as a bursting population is qualified to be classified amongst the green state in Nigeria and the challenges arise creating opportunities for a private public partnership in waste management.
Waste recycling
51. The next fastest growing business, yet untapped business opportunity in Nigeria is waste recycling. I don’t need to expatiate on this as the details are clear. With increase in waste generation comes the need to recycle most of it. You can venture Into either bottle and can recycling or nylon recycling. You can even embark on a Waste to green (manure) project as Nigeria and indeed the south -south region has a huge demand for organic and inorganic fertilizer.

Christianity EtcRe: Alcohol And Immorality By Pastor Adeboye by easytask(m): 9:22am On Mar 11, 2013
Pastor Kun: I once used to respect Adeboye so much but the more I read of his teachings the more I become convinced that he is a pure charlatan. Some of the thrash he wrote up there could actually inspire fights btw husband and wife becos Adeboye has implied that all men who drink are having extra marital affairs. Lots of women who can't see beyond there nose and believe every thrash Adeboye teaches would now start harassing and dis trusting their husband's based on a charlatan's twisted logic. I wonder how many homes have been destroyed due to false teachings as this.
You use words on people instead of addressing issues. Why call the pastor "pure challatans" Dont forget he was addressing Christians. He never even said that it is a sin to take wine, but he said it could lead to trouble especially marrital trouble and that Some christians would prefare to build an elaborate shack bar in their House which only best feeds our unwholesome desires and pleasure but dont have a simple alter table in which to commune with God. Repent of your name calling. Address issues please

Chudoify: Thanks for your Comment. Whether people will pay or not is left to be desired. But there are people who have paid for so many products on line and never get to see their product, and there are some that have gotten their product but never liked it but are stucked with it. This kind is offered in advance countries and its called the credit system. We have to practiced it here. so far 33 people has ordered and only 8 paid and 1 person wasnt satisfied and wanted a variation of what was offered. The ones that hasnt paid and kept it to themselves has abused the credit. What would we do about it? nothing! But you know you cant eat and be filled from another man's sweat.
As for google. yes there are many things on google and i am sure that what we are offering cant be found on google.

BusinessRe: Examples Of A Business Proposal by easytask(m): 8:47am On Nov 15, 2012
A business plan is not the same thing as a business proposal even though it has some similarities.

Business plan can be an extensive and comprehensive plan on how you intend to run the business, but a proposal focuses on the primary benefit that will acrue to the person providing financing for you. it should not be too voluminous, say between 4 and 10 pages. The catch of a business proposal is using terms, languages and psychology of words to try to convince your financier in a few pages.

It should address the following: what would be his gain, what happens if the business does not meet up; how does he get his money back. the focus of a Proposal is usually centered on the financier and not your self.
Thanks.
