I have not changed my status yet. However, I contacted the Auslander.... and I was told to first register it at the registry. When contacted the office, I was told that I will need to bring the original wedding certificate for verification.
I will do that next month.

I thought you already change your status that is why your spouse did not need a lawyer to investigate

Hello all, my wife had her interview today. The interviewer told her that the verification by the lawyer is not needed because our marriage has already been verified (I changed my marital status here in my city earlier this year and it took 2 weeks before it was done because they verified it). Who else has had such experience? Thanks.

I think the marriage certificate is necessary, cause you will be ask even when you are trying to get her health insurance

Hi everyone, I have tried to search back on this thread but I don’t see clear answers, I got a job in germany and I will start visa processing soon, someone suggested i apply for eu blue card visa ( since my job meets all the requirements). now to the problem, I will like to go with my girlfriend as I can’t wait a year for family reunion. What’s the best way to go about this ? Should we go on to do court marriage or can we go together without getting married? will adding her to my visa process delay the application? my new job wants me to resume on the 1st of august, so I have to be in germany by latest by july.

I am not applying for blue card as i did not meet up with the requirement but the time is limited for my spouse to learning and get the certificate cause I have to resume latest early next month.
Can I have a letter from my Hr. instead stating she will surely learn the language once in Germany?

Sorry for replying late, I just saw this now. Once you get the pre-approval, book two appointments for yourself and your wife under the skilled immigration act. Your wife will be eligible for family reunion under the skilled immigration act. Make sure to go with the pre approval documents to the interview. You should be able to travel with your wife at the same time all things being equal. If you qualify for a blue card Visa/ residence permit, your wife does not need the language proficiency certificate. Good luck bro. If you need any more help, please let me know.

How does the pre-approval fast track my wife appointment since the consulate waiting time for family reunion is 1 year?
Do we need the A1 language proficiency, if yes

Myself and family applied for long term visa and family reunion respectively, and I have pre-approval. We already did interviews and haven't received feedback till now after 3 weeks as per the immigration act.

1. Please how long should myself and spouse wait expect to receive update on our application?
2. And when we do get the request for passports and travel insurance, can we courier the documents to the embassy in Lagos since we reside outside lagos. I don't think we can all travel back to Lagos again to submit the documents.

My Family got their VISA delivered today. I will share the timeline. Note that I travelled via the skilled immigration act and got pre-approval for myself and my family. The whole process for my family from application to getting VISA approved Email took like 4 months. I learnt that even now with pre-approval, the family can get the VISA same time as at when the other spouse with the work Visa is travelling (Someone I know had this experience recently)

Timeline:
Application June 17, 2021, Got appointment date for July 19, 2021
Lawyer verification process started August 6, 2021.
Got a mail from KVR to submit some documents September 7, 2021
VISA approved Email October 11, 2021 and to submit travel insurance and travel dates
Some delay in submitting travel insurance and some requested documents, VISA delivered today November 15, 2021

Please my school made a mistake in my details my jamb reg number was input incorrectly when uploading name on nysc, so I was unable to register with stream 1 but my name is already on the senate list but showing I cant register because of the error, so pls my question is

1)how can I rectify it cos have been talking to them in school but they couldn't do anything about it

2)if the Issue is rectify can I still register with stream 2
