Nigerian London-based designer Andrew Randa has come up with this design for the Super Eagles kit for the 2018 World Cup. Now, this is a thinking man, a creative talent and someone who gets things done. What do you think of his design? Does it look unique and distinctively Nigerian? If we the fans love it, then the next step is to pressurise the Nigerian Football Federation and Nike to abandon the bland kit they recently came up with and adopt this one. Breakups can be hard, painful and ugly but one thing is for sure, when a person came from a bad breakup, they should move on and accept the fact that the chapter of your life with your partner is over. Kelly Murphy, 28, of Alberta was arrested for obsessing over her ex-boyfriend, Randy Williams. Aside from calling him about 27,639 times in one week, she also sent him 937 emails, 11,229 text messages, 117 sung messages, and 47 letters in the same period. This is insane! Randy almost got into depression because of her. Though they have been together for only two weeks, it’s obvious Kelly couldn’t accept the breakup. She used almost eight phones at once to call him on his cell phone, home phone, workplace phone. I wonder how hard it is to work and do these things every day. If you’re wondering how can Kelly manage to wake up for 24 hours calling him nonstop, she’s consuming large quantities of energy drinks and amphetamines. According to Randy’s lawyer, J.D. James Kilroy, Randy’s relieved to know that Kelly is finally behind bars. He could finally rest and have a good night sleep, enjoy his life. “He hasn’t been able to sleep, work or enjoy life in any way, for more than a week. He was having a hard time thinking clearly and was nearing depression, it was about time the harassment ceased. Now, all we want is for Ms. Murphy to get the medical help she needs, and for the law to keep her away from my client,” Randy’s lawyer, J.D. James Kilroy told The Coverage. source. http://borlem.me/c/olroe

The president of Breast Care International Dr. Beatrice Wiafe -Addai has urged men to handle the breast of women with care as it is a very fragile part of a woman’s anatomy. Speaking on the sidelines of the breast cancer awareness month which is celebrated in October every year, Dr. Wiafe-Addai told Starr Fm morning show host Francis Abban that contrary to claims that the sucking of breast by men reduces the risk of getting breast cancer in women, those claims are untrue. “It is not true that the more you suck a woman’s breast it prevents the risk of getting breast cancer. What is true is that women who have children should breastfeed, and breastfeeding has some positive effect on the woman as far as breast cancer is concerned. But not adult men to go and suck the breast thinking it will protect the woman from breast cancer, that is not true, it is very fragile so let’s handle it with care…don’t squeeze it like you have some mango or orange that you are squeezing to get some fluid out,” Dr. Wiafe-Addai counselled. Dr. Wiafe-Addai also advised men not to abandon women diagnosed with breast cancer but rather help to fight it. “If you find something in a woman’s breast don’t send her to her family home because she has been diagnosed of breast cancer. Give her all the morale even if not financial. So that she knows that someone is with her through the fight. The fight against breast cancer is not an easy one so women need all the support from men, society and the nation,” she noted. About 21,780 out of 33,000 teachers failed the primary four test administered to test their competence by the Kaduna State government. The state is therefore shopping for 25,000 new teachers as one of the plans to restore dignity and quality to education. Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State unveiled the planned recruitment when he received a World Bank’s delegation in Kaduna on Monday. “We tested our 33,000 primary school teachers, we gave them primary four examination and required they must get at least 75 per cent but I am sad to announce that 66 per cent of them failed to get the requirements. “The hiring of teachers in the past was politicized and we intend to change that by bringing in young and qualified primary school teachers to restore the dignity of education in the state,” the governor said. He stressed that teachers would be redeployed across the state to balance the issue of teacher-pupil ratio. “We have a challenge with the teacher-pupil ratio in the urban schools; there is concentration of teachers that are not needed. ‘’In some local government areas, it’s a teacher pupil ratio of 1-9 while in some places it’s 1-100,” he said. The governor said that in a bid to improve the education sector, the school Directors decided to enrol their children in public schools starting from this academic session. Speaking earlier, the World Bank representative, Dr Kunle Adekola, expressed appreciation to the state for investing in education and for the priority given to the girl child. “This state has demonstrated and supported us to achieve our goals,” he said. Adekola said the Bank would invest N30 million in Rigasa Primary School, which has a population of about 22,000 pupils, as part of its support for the state. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Education Intervention Fund by the World Bank and other collaborative development partners, is rendering support to about 13 Northern states and a state from each of the other four geopolitical zones of the country. It’s true that success is not a day's work and Rome of-course was not built in a day but everyone is expected to have attained a level of success by 10 years, 20 years and even by 40 years. We take a look at 10 things every Nigerian guy should have achieved by age 30: 1. Be Matured - Maturity is not an age thing, but if by 30 years, a guy isn't matured; then he's on his way to multiple failures on all front. 2. Be in a serious relationship - If not married, then he should be in a serious relationship and getting ready to settle down soon. 3. Be Educated (formal or informal) - He should have attained his first degree or should have graduated as a qualified artisan in his chosen field. 4. Have a Home of his own (rented, brought or built) - We don't expect that by 30, any guy should be living with his parents and feeding on their pot, he can, however, live in a property built by his father/mother if he has a flat owned by himself alone. 5. Have a paying job or business - He should either have a good paying job, even when it's below what he thinks he deserves or he should be in business, doing good for himself and family. 6. Be responsible - He should be responsible and live a responsible lifestyle 7. Be Independent - He should take his decisions (with or without advice) - He should be his own boss in that department 8. Have a set goal - He should by this age, have a set and defined goal, a picture of where he wants to be in the nearest future 9. Learn to Drive a car - Even if he doesn't own a car, every 30 years old should have attained training in driving to a large extent - an opportunity could open up or an emergency that would require him driving a car 10. Have a saving - He should have a saving plan, for the future, his family and a retirement plan. |
Wife of the Arsenal FC fan who slumped and died in Owerri, the Imo state capital during last weekend Premier League game against Stoke City, has opened up on how her husband, a ‘die-hard’ supporter of the Gunners, died. The man’s wife, Ndidi Ejimba, who has three kids, said since Dominic, her husband died, on Saturday evening, things have not remained the same for the family. The woman said that watching Arsenal play in any competition at all, was life to her husband. She said the deceased had left his shop later that afternoon to watch matches involving top English Premiership clubs. She told Punch, “My husband came back to the shop at the end of the first half of the match between Arsenal and Stoke City to urinate. “He promised to be back at the end of the match, telling me how his club would win. But about 20 minutes after he left to watch the second half of the match, somebody rushed to the house to inform me that he had slumped at the viewing centre and that he was being rushed to a hospital. “When I got to the hospital and saw him, he was almost dead. He was on a stretcher. At a point, one of our neighbours, who was among those that rushed him to the hospital, told me to go back to lock the shop and get a vehicle we could use to transfer him to another hospital. “According to him, the hospital he was rushed to couldn’t handle the situation. I never knew it was a trick to send me away from the place because all that time my husband was already dead. “It was until the next day, which was a Sunday that I finally believed that my husband was dead after he failed to wake up. “His corpse was finally deposited at the morgue by the hospital workers. The sight of his lifeless body left me in utmost shock and a deep sorry state. “My husband was neither sick nor showed any sign of being unhealthy. He woke up normally and we were all looking forward to a great day and other activities that weekend before the tragedy. “We had plans together as a family but now death has taken him away. He died less than one month after we moved into our new house in the village. We were planning to dedicate the new building with relatives and friends when he died. “To imagine that my husband who took good care of us is no longer around is unbelievable . I don ’t know where to go from here because life has not been the same for us since then. “Watching Arsenal play was his life. He would rebuke and sometimes ignore me whenever I told him to reduce his obsession with Arsenal. “He loved the club so much. He was ready to chase his customers away and lock up his shop just to watch the team play. “For the 10 years that we were married, he never stopped watching football matches involving Arsenal. “He was a loving man to his family and all those who came in contact with him. He had a lot of plans for us especially the children whom he promised to train to any level as far as education was concerned. “He did his best to always make us comfortable and happy; we never knew death would snatch him away from us so soon. Words cannot tell how much we will miss him.” Source. www.dailypost.ng |

1. There is nothing that threatens the security of a man than the thought of another man competing for the attention and affection of his wife. Nothing is more painful. Nothing is more disrespecting. Nothing is more insulting. Nothing is more belittling and degrading. 2. Marriage flourishes when the couple work together as a team; when both husband and wife decide that winning together is more important than keeping score. Good marriages don't just happen. They are a product of hard work. 3. Your children are watching you and forming lasting opinions on love, commitment, and marriage based on what they see in you. Give them hope. Make them look forward to marriage. 4. Husbands: The reason why other women look attractive is because someone is taking good care of them. Grass is always green where it is watered. Instead of drooling over the green grass on the other side of the fence, work on yours and water it regularly. Any man can admire a beautiful woman, but it takes a true gentleman to make a woman admirable and beautiful. 5. When a husband puts his wife first above everyone and everything except God, it gives his wife the sense of security and honor that every wife hungers for. 6. A successful marriage doesn't require a big house, a perfect spouse, a million dollars or an expensive car. You can have all the above and still have a miserable marriage. A successful marriage requires honesty, undying commitment and selfless love and Jesus at the center of it all. 7. Pray for your spouse every day; in the morning, in the afternoon and at evening. Don’t wait until there is a problem. Don’t wait until there is an affair. Don’t wait until something bad happens. Don’t wait until your spouse is tempted. Shield your spouse with prayer and cover your marriage with the fence of prayer. 8. The people you surround yourself with have a lot of influence on your marriage. Friends can build or break your marriage; choose them wisely. 9. One spouse cannot build a marriage alone when the other spouse is committed to destroying it. Marriage works when both husband and wife work together as a team to build their marriage. 10. Don't take your spouse for granted. Don't take advantage of your spouse's meekness and goodness. Don't mistake your spouse's loyalty for desperation. Don't misuse or abuse your spouse's trust. You may end up regretting after losing someone that meant so much to you. 11. Beware of marital advice from single people. Regardless of how sincere their advice may be, most of it is theoretical and not derived from real life experiences. If you really need Godly advice, seek it from God-fearing, impartial and prayerful mature couples whose resolve has been tested by time and shaped by trials. 12. Dear wife, Don't underestimate the power of the tongue on your marriage. The tongue has the power to crush your marriage or build it up. Don't let the Devil use your tongue to kill your spouse's image, self-confidence and aspirations. Let God use your tongue to build up your marriage and bless and praise your spouse. Please, send this to as many couple as you know, love and care about... Also send to singles to help prepare their minds for marriage. God bless you. The president’s return to Nigeria has been subjected to a lot of speculation though his office has consistently maintained that he would return only when his doctors give him the go ahead. A Nigerian sports betting firm, Naija Bet, has dismissed claims that it disrespected the country’s ailing president, Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently in London undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment. “We would just like to put this on record, Nigerians want their president back, we are only trying to voice the yearning of the people via the little platform we have,” NaijaBet tweeted yesterday in reply to a tweet by The Guardian on the subject. The president’s return to Nigeria has been subjected to a lot of speculations though his office has consistently maintained that he would return only when his doctors give him the go ahead. But speculations surrounding his imminent return were heightened earlier in the week when the presidential jet that has been on standby in the United Kingdom since May 7 reportedly left London. NaijaBet, in the light of the growing assumptions, decided to give punters a chance to bet on President Buhari’s likely return date. The move has been interpreted by some Nigerians as a slap on the ailing leader, but the betting company said it did not mean to disrespect the 74-year old president. “We want to show the president and the government that the people are anxious for his wellbeing and anticipate his early return (hence the short window dates as betting options).” This is coming days after the United States television medium, Cable News Network (CNN) mocked Nigeria over Buhari’s continued absence in the country in its last edition of “The Global Public Square (GPS)”, a foreign affairs show anchored on CNN by Fareed Zakaria. In an apparent mockery of Nigeria and her president, CNN, on its programme displayed: “The head of state from which country has not set foot in his homeland in over two months?” It went ahead to tick an option with the name Nigeria as the correct answer. The options were given as Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Nigeria and Syria Source http://leaders.ng/nairabet-ask-nigerians-place-bet-buharis-return/
