I will be writing from experience, so its not going to be a hear say, nor a myopic view from afar. though i wasn't at the receiving end, but i was affected since experience was with my neighbor.

i have been hearing about how police alterate and frustrate a complainant for the gain of their personal benefits, which is money at the expense of their main aim of creation which is to protect and guide civilian life and properties.

scene one> the situation stated on a Saturday morning, when we notices at my place that a neighbor's (complainant) car has been vandalized by the night crawlers(thief) who had an intention of removing his brain box. unluckily for the thief he was unable to remove it, but damaged as been made on the car, chattering the window glass and dash board. we later heard that same operation was carried out at different places

scene two> on getting to see his damaged car, he was advised to go report to the police, which he did. made all necessary statement, after that an information was spread to him that the thieves (they were two) had been caught by OPC members somewhere and beaten mercilessly , happy with the hope that he can get somebody to pay for the damages, he got there and requested the thief to be taken to the police station where he had reported, on getting to station, police locked up one of thief and told them the other thief was stained on blood to be treated first, which they did, on bringing the thief back, the thief collapsed, and immediately the police locked up the complainant, instead of doing a due diligent job, they ceased the opportunity and pounced on the complainant along with three other people for being there as at the time of the collapsed of the suspect.

scene3> the news spread quickly to us at home that my neighbour (complainant) had been locked up, i got to the station to see what is happening i was told by the police to bring 500 naira to see the man or i should buy a dettol antiseptic, which i dnt know the reason why, and also the wife of the complainant was deprived of seeing her husband. the man was later released on hearing that the thief(suspect) was getting better, only to be re arrested later, that the condition of the suspect is worst.

scene 4> all up and down, the complainant was later transferred to panti as a suspect not complainant again, and the second thief captured was taken to panti as complainant. the man has to pay through his nose to be granted bail, with other complainant that day, with nothing less than a sum of 10000 each.

is this justice?
