But, not too early after you suspect she has had relations with a male. The radiography can only see the fetus' bones. That means that you have to wait for at least on month (bitches pregnancy lasts for 2 months).
Dosing blood progesterone won't help since it increases the same way after she was on heat, be she pregnant or not.

This is wrong, you cant do radiograph/ x-ray you mean? NO! Instead you do an ultrasound to ascertain the pregnancy. You can do the ultrasound a month after breeding.
The hormone to check for when a dog is pregnant is relaxin, this will verify pregnancy and not progesterone.
