Since you are getting that update error your os has been corrupted there's nothing u can do to bring ur phone back to normal I had similar experience
SOLUTION
1.U HAVE TO UNROOT UR DEVICE
2.FLASH D STOCK ROM but make sure u back up ur files and folders
3.repeat d process I wrote earlier

Nb:p2m stock rom 5.1lolilop is the same with m2m

Update the ota ,if it doesn't resolve ,factory reset if doesn't then YOU AV FLASH IT sorry to say I had similar issue, it's a gionee thing. Had same issue same model of phone but it's over now

Now follow these steps!
1.Setting>apps>All>select Google Play Store >Force stop>clear cache>clear data

Restart your phone. .thank me later

Hello Friends, my gionee m2 mini suddenly couldn't download app nor updates previously installed apps.Anytime i need to download updateapps it's stuck on downloading forever...I have tried to clear the playstore cache, deleted and uninstall and re install the playstore severallyI have also done phone upgrades even factory reset all to no avail.pls help me my good ppl

Is your phone rooted? My m3 mini is having same issues. I have uninstalled the root application but I haven't done factory reset after that. If it still continue after u uninstall and do factory reset and the problem still persists, you will have to take it to gionee customer care center. That's what I will do too.
