Sex seems to be more than a hormonal discharge and some short moments of pure pleasure. Scientists show that sex is extremely beneficial for our health, while the lack of an active sex life might have negative effects. But too much sex, can also be harmful: more than thrice a week it can weaken the immune system, making us vulnerable to infections...

1. Our mental and emotional health balance is clearly influenced by sex. Abstinence is known to cause from anxiety to paranoia and depression... In fact, in case of light depressions, after having sex the brain releases endorphins, that decrease stress, inducing a state of euphoria.

2. Sex can be a beauty treatment. While having sex, a woman's body doubles the estrogen level, and this makes her hair shine and the skin becomes softer.

3. A 10-year research carried on 1,000 middle-aged men at Queens University in Belfast, Ireland, showed that sex on a regular basis increases the humans' lifespan. For the same age and health, those who had orgasms more frequently had half the death rate of men who did not have such frequent orgasms. This could be due to the plummeting stress hormones, reaction that installs after we have sex.

3. Sweating while having sex cleanse the skin pores, making the skin brighter and decreasing the risk of developing dermatitis.

4. Sex can make us lose weight. You burn all that fat and carbohydrates from the romantic dinner. Quickies of 20 minutes weekly mean 7 500 calories annually, that's as much as you consume on 120 km (745 mi) of jogging. A sex session can burn about 200 calories. This is like running 15 minutes on a treadmill!

Sex is also a pain reliever, ten times more effective than typical painkillers: immediately before orgasm, levels of the hormone oxytocin rise by five times, determining a huge release of endorphins. These chemicals calm pain, from a minor headache to arthritis or migraines, and with no secondary effects. Migraines also disappear because the pressure in the brain's blood vessels is lowered while we have sex. So now we see that actually, a woman's headache is rather a good reason for having sex, not against it.

9. Kissing your partner daily means less visits to dentist. Kissing stimulates salivation, which cleanses food left between the teeth and lowers the acidity in the mouth, the main cause of the tooth decay.

10. A good sex session can be a good remedy against stiff nose, being a natural antihistaminic that helps combating asthma and high fever.

11. Having sex regularly drops the cholesterol level, balancing the ratio good cholesterol: bad cholesterol.

12. The hormones released while we have sex helps both men and women; estrogen protects a woman's heart but on the long term, it can be efficient also against Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis while testosterone strengthens the bones and muscles.

13. Sex is not beneficial not only for the heart, but also for the blood circulation, especially in the brain, because of the increased heart rate and deep breathing.

14. The sexual activity lowers the risk of getting colds and the flu. 1-2 intercourses weekly means 30 % higher levels of the antibody immunoglobulin A, that spurs the immune system.

15. Sex leads to a better control of the bladder, by strengthening the pelvis muscles controlling the flow of urine.

16. After orgasm, especially in the evening, we become sleepy. This is the effect of some good sex: it increases sleep quality. Following an orgasm, the body of both males or females becomes completely relaxed, so they may have a good deep sleep.

17. Sex fights cancer! Various researches have shown that a high ejaculation frequency and sexual activity are linked to a lower risk of prostate cancer later in life. A study found out that men who ejaculated 13 to 20 times monthly presented a 14% lower risk of prostate cancer than men who ejaculated on average, between 4 and 7 times monthly for most of their adult life. Those ejaculating over 21 times a month presented a 33% decreased risk of developing prostate cancer than the baseline group.

am a person that loves and understands his vehicles so much that i dont give room to mechanics to trouble shoot and cause more damage for me, based on what i av experience from them ..pls before u allow that man to ruin what u invested ur hard earn money on pls think twice.

now my recent experience >i drive a 2004 nissan frontier v6 its been a very hardworking partner no major repair aside the brake pads change, 4 months ago when i was going to lekki driving through ikeja GRA, the truck goes off every 3minuts drive, i parked try to observe the posible cause but couldnt ,i call a mechanic that came and said he has to replace the brain box, which i disagreed but wanted to start cutting some wires and joining some wires i still didnt agree, so i manage it to dis prominent workshop at ilupeju ,were the mechanic said he would diagnose the truck which i was really happy about,but after diagnosing, he said he wound need to remove the engine manifold and replace all the sensors and adjust the timing ( i dont know when dey started keeping sensors in manifold,maybe because i was dressed too coperate dat day sha) and the valve body in the gearbox will also be replaced he said thats why the engine dosnt rev properly,,inoder to leave his workshop i just told him i will go and park the truck at home pending the time i get money to fix it ( he calculated 147,00 naira for me)
for the fact that the engine was not reving properly i thought of ETC(electronic trottle cable) but mine was a cable not electronic, den i tot of air flow meter i called some one from ladipo who brought series of the air flow meters ,immediately i changed it the truck smile back at me and since then ..me and my truck has been living our normal live and av been doing our usual works ( for just 6,000)

How unreliable a Peugeot 504 GL bought brand new in 1976 by my father, is. Simply because it had a failed propeller shaft in 2002/2003, after been driven on Nigerian road for more than 26 years old, still having the original engine. What an irony!

How unreliable my Baby is? Peugeot 505 V6, a 1986 production, that still takes me to any part of the country and brings me back without a cough? Really? How unreliable she is?

Notwithstanding, why not bring those your Toyotas and Honda to Nigeria and lets see how they will hold up together, after driven hard on Nigerian roads for just a year. Of course, the "Honda Surprise " is not your portion, because your Honda is different from others in Nigeria that have proven how reliable their front swivels can be on Nigerian roads. And may be the ever frequent failing dampers of Toyotas driven on Nigerian road is not your portion, because yours was not produced with balloon like others. Talking about durability!

Back then in the East, the frequent failure of CV joints of Japs made the mechanics to start converting the Japs drive shafts with Renault & Peugeot ones, since the French cars CV joints appeared indestructible. It got to a point, the French cars CV joints and/or drive shafts became scarce commodities in the East back then. And you are here telling me how "unreliable " Peugeots are, compared to your Japs. Wonders shall never end.

Why not ask Peugeot owners in Nigeria how many times they have replaced their front ball joints, CV joints and shock absorbers, of all the long years of ownerships of their Lions? Likewise, ask the Toyota and Honda owners the same and lets find out which of the car brands are so unreliable and not durable.

Next time, however you want to impress Nairaland members of cars you drive, speak of what you know.

I drive a Nissan frontier and and used to seeing dem everywhere .I have all the papers Dey ask including drivers badge, radio permit ,waste disposal permit and many other nonsense papers.they are even in lekki.like I said u Will know dem if u drive a pickup.for the cars and suv s.it wrong.

Its just a guide for those who have the brain. as for me I have had offer from companies willing to pay me 500k monthly for my skill but I can t be traped ...
