Florence Friday, the bride-to-be, requested N30,000 from her groom-to-be, Morgak James, on March 28th to book her wedding gown. Morgak, unable to provide the full amount, offered N15,000 with a promise to complete it the following week. Florence, in anger, insisted on receiving the full amount before the week's end, threatening to call off the wedding otherwise.

Two days later, Morgak managed to gather the N30,000 and sent it to Florence to proceed with the booking. However, this resolution led to another condition from the bride-to-be.

Tudun Wada Broadcast, while collecting first-hand information, reported that Florence requested Morgak to move out of his family house and get his own apartment. After a lengthy debate, they agreed to live in the family house for two months after the wedding before renting their own apartment. This agreement was reached before Morgak proceeded with the introductions, church signing, and paying the bride price. But Morgak was shocked prior to the main day when he received a call that the wedding has been called off by his bride-to-be for not parking out of his family house.

According to our source, Morgak had invested significantly in the wedding. Despite this, Florence's family had canceled their introduction dates more than three times due to various reasons, including visiting a student in school. He again reminded her of their agreement to stay for two months in the family house after the wedding before parking out and sequel to that, renting a house now will be more or less economic illiteracy and again at a peak of this hard time, his strength can't shoulder that burden and it's too late to go about looking for a house prompt to the wedding date. He further said, beside what is the essence of renting a house in Jos when none of them is working or running any business there. He could have consider that option if any of them is working in Jos or running any business there. But she said she is not going to stay in the village and that's her final decision. She had given him her condition to rent the house before the wedding hold, hence she is calling off the wedding.

After realizing that she seems to be serious he then decide to visit her so they can have a heart to heart discussion on the matter. So when he got there he ask her;

1. my father hasn't send me out of his house, even though you have no idea how the said house was built.
2. I can't remember telling you I will bring you to my parents whom I pay their bills to take care of you. Beside, not like I'm leaving you with my parents. We are only staying there for just 2 months.
3. It's God that gives money and if he didn't give me today it doesn't mean he won't give me in some time to come. So please be patient and understand my position for now. I will definitely get a place for us wherever you want after the wedding.

However, all plea and effort to reconcile issues didn't yield any positive result.

After that day she call the Pastor and told him the wedding is cancel. The Pastor call both families together and sat them down to see if the issue can be settle but she still remain adamant.

So since she call it off, he really can't force her to marry him, he then respected her decision and move on.

Note: Traditionally she is his wife, but since she have decide no to go ahead with the wedding which the supposed date was on the 4th of May. Our family have contacted the middle-man and plans have been made to go and meet her family for the refund of the dowry and every penny he spent in the cause of the wedding plans.

Considering the spiritual powers attributed to prophets, prophetesses and native doctors, many jaws dropped when news broke in Ocober that a prophetess in Ogun State was raped by a 40-year-old mason, Lekan Sunday, in a church.

It got even more interesting days ago when a man got arrested for raping female native doctor.

The 26-year-old victim and native doctor, whose name was not revealed for security reasons, told a South African media outlet SABC News, that the suspect sexually attacked her after inviting her to his house for spiritual cleansing.

According to her, the incident, which left her deeply traumatized and fearful, occurred at her client’s home where she had gone to perform a spiritual cleansing ritual.

The traditionalist, who had started her practice a year ago, said the experience has shaken her faith in her calling and her ability to trust male clients again.

She said, “Out of nowhere, the guy pushed me. I fell on the bed, and he grabbed me by my arms. I was trying to process everything that was happening because I was in shock. I came here to help someone spiritually, and this is what happens to me.

“I am still very scared to practice or to help, but I know that it is not something I can stop. It is not something I can resign from and say I am packing up my stuff, I am leaving because I have been called for a purpose at the end of the day.”

Also speaking on the incident, some Kimberly-based traditional healers described the development as a wake-up call for female healers in the country on the need to be extra careful.

They urged the government to ensure that the accused rapist receives the appropriate punishment to serve as a deterrent for others.

The accused is currently in police custody and is expected to appear in court soon.

Prior to his arrest by officers of the state command, PUNCH Metro reports that the suspect allegedly committed the crime some time in October.

Lekan reportedly stormed the church, Orioke Aanu Oluwa Gbohunmi, in the Ilogbo Adu area of Kemta in Abeokuta with weapons and met the victim sleeping.

He was said to have held the prophetess hostage while brandishing a knife in her face that he would kill her if she continued to give him a tough time.

When her call for help from people around the premises did not yield results, the prophetess was said to have started pleading with the suspect to pity her.

Despite several pleas with Sunday, the suspect was said to have insisted on her having sex with the prophetess.

After finally forcing her into submission and allegedly raping the prophetess, the victim was said to have approached a nearby police station, where the matter was reported. Having received the complaint, the police launched a manhunt for the suspect who had fled.

While speaking with PUNCH Metro on Tuesday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent, said the prophetess recognised the suspect as a mason and labourer in the area.
