I'm only saying that instead of leaving the bridge to remain the way it was, that it is a good thing that the ministry is now attending to it. Are you aware that the bolt holding some parts of the bridge were being stolen? Were you praying for it to remain like that knowing full well that Christmas is around the corner?

The commendation is premature.

By your own admission, it was social media reports that forced people (who are being paid) to do their jobs. It has almost become the norm in this country now: routine work that should be done by ministry employees is left undone...until social media compels them to act.

We need to hold their feet to the fire and be stingy with the praise.

You guys should learn to read with open mind. Would you have preferred that the bridge remain the way it was? While commending them I equally noted in my post that for such landmark structure, the ministry doesn't need social media to be reminded of their responsibility.

I'm not a professional. However I've listened to those who are in support of the division and those against it.

For those in support, they argued that dividing the bridge will help to maintain orderliness.

And then for those who are against the division, the bridge wasn't meant for this division as this may increase the load on the bridge. They equally argued that should a vehicle get stucked on any side of the divide, it will be difficult for commuters to manoeuvre their way around the bridge.

As for me, thank God the bridge is receiving adequate attention even though it took reporting the state of the bridge on the social media before the intervention. Nevertheless, kudos to both the president and the minister of works.

I remember during the Jonathan era. While some northern governors were physically with him, in spirit, they were with their people. Knowing how politically active and determined their people can be, it is difficult to manipulate elections in some parts of the North. They are willing to take serious risks over political issues, and their leaders understand this.

In the South, it is a different ball game. Generally, people are less willing to risk their lives over an uncertain political future. If you are in doubt, just pay attention when elections draw near. You will see young northerners returning in droves to vote.

Well, I would have agreed with you if there were no antecedents. Right from the onset, when he took over from Obiano, he has been doing everything just to get back at Peter Obi. The reason I can't just [agree] is because of the antecedents.

Remember when he said Peter Obi never left any money behind, only for him to later say that most of the so-called investments were no longer valuable. The same brewery company which they condemned was shamelessly reported to be bringing over ₦300 million in the form of tax. And this information was from one of his cabinet members

Seeing that these tactics are no longer working, they have now resorted to the debt issue. Why now? Why not in his first tenure? Because he doesn't want anything that will jeopardise his re-election.

Peter Obi has publicly disputed the claim that he left Anambra with the kind of debt being attributed to his administration and has provided his own explanation of the figures. The Anambra government, on the other hand, has released records showing eight external financing facilities linked to projects undertaken during his administration, with an outstanding balance of $92.35 million as of June 2026. Ironically, the same Soludo, before his election during the governorship debate, praised Peter Obi highly. So, what changed now?
