If he is that good he should remain where he is. It's like being in a class when you already know the material. There's no incentive to improve or 'grow' because you know you are not on the same level with your classmates and you will always outperform them.

If he can't cope it's a different issue- they can bring him one step down and then keep going from there. Some players develop early and some develop later. It's not a must for them to pass through every age grade level.

I feel like this is a mentality that is prevalent in our country in general not just in football. People should not be turned away because you feel they are too young to deliver.
