Last year, they sent emails, then released a comprehensive list on their site, some folks who never received mail found their names on the list. So lets hope they do the same this year, fingers crossed.

this is completely false, last year transcript wasnt requested at the stage of application nor was it requested for during interview. It was only adviced that you have it at hand, pending if you get beyond interview stage.
Stop killing people's hopes.
PS. i have mine but i knw for a fact that it wasnt requested for at this stage last year. Regards

Contrary to what people might have told you, you should know that a transcript is COMPULSORY at this stage else you risk losing out altogether.

There is space for statement of purpose.
That point where you have the schools and courses, click edit.....you will see where you can upload sop as a PDF file.

Is it just me or did any one else notice there was no place for SOP (statement of purpose)on this new platform but when you click on the "PREVIEW/CONFIRM" button, you see a "PERSONAL STATEMENT" column that is blank.

Anybody who applied last year's Ptdf scholarship will know that this 2019 interview update is questionable kind of. Last year's applicant got mails informing them to choose interview Venues OR you will be told they will choose for you. It wasn't Nairaland they used in conveying the message to people. If you are not sent a mail or sms, then you must be a magician to know that, or its possible some ptdf staff leaked the information to some people when they were not yet ready to officially open their portal to shortlisted candidates which eventually lead to system glitch. Those who managed to know about the interview update from Nairaland are the regular guests on this platform,which is by luck or some form of grace. Just so you are informed, a real interview update is on the way.

Then another issue is, i registered for both myself and my brother. None of us got any sms about updating centre location (thats if they sent). the issue is, when i try to login with his pin and password, i get the " Sorry, we hate errors but one just occurred, try any of the following............." whereas if i try to login with my own details, i get "the portal is closed, try again later".

its the same message whether i try to log in on phone or computer. Why the different messages, please does any one have any idea as to what they could mean.Thanks

If you have taken the test,it shouldn't take more than 24hrs for the mail to hit your inbox.

pls o, i just did the cognitive test, only verbal reasoning. but the instruction said, upon completing d test, go back to ur browser and check the "pending assessment' screen to know if you have other assessments

thats the issue, i dnt knw how to navigate to the "pending assessment" screen o,,, i sha login to my profile and nothing new.

Please, I got an email informing me that I was shortlisted for interview for ptdf scholarship 2018 for M.Sc in U.k but no date. Someone should explain to me. Is the date yet to be fixed or what?

interviews were conducted between 14th to 18th May so if you didnt attend, i'm afraid you missed it. Sorry

Funny people really. They behave as if they aren't concerned. Medical tests will require days except if we want to deceive ourselves with fake tests.

And is it official transcripts from school or student copy? Official transcripts may take weeks to be processed and sent to desired destinations.

since they are asking for a scanned copy, i'd suggest you get a students copy down. You could always have an ofgicial copy sent to them even while running the program there

But really they ought to be considerate. Not everybody has an international passport (or excess cash to just do one down) plus as you said, it would take time to do the medicals and run around for one or two other things.

But on a serious note, this scholarship issue wants to kill my positive vibes. Trying not to get depressed over it.

I am just wondering why some of the courses advertised by PTDF on their portal are not available on the list of courses offered by the said universities. I advise all applicants to confirm the availability of the courses they selected on their universities of choice's website. Knowing this will equip you on any abnormality that may arise.

My interview was really quick and swift. I am even not happy that the panelist didn't ask me much questions to prove my worth. However, we are hopeful the end result will be successful.

MY OWN CASE WAS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS WITHIN THE SAME UI. (UI used 3 panels today)

From my own personal experience , the interview has no standard pathern .....you could be asked anything .......

below are my experience today at UI, IBADAN (Msc) .....


1. after i introduced myself .....immediately they learnt i was from the EAST ( IGBO ORIGIN) , they waited for like 2 mins and started murmoring to each other in Hausa language ....(All of the 5 persons that made up the panel were Hausas).

2. i was not asked a single question from my SOP ....they didnt even open it ....nor cared about it.

3. All the questions i was asked were deep, tough and technical (Civil engineering questions ) my 1st degree course .
( one of them is a Prof of Civil Engineering ) ....NOTE : THIS IS OUTSIDE THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERVIEW....recall that from the invitation letter, we were only told to make a presentation of our Statement of Purpose .......This is very unfair to me .

4. i was asked up to 10 questions ......and my interview lasted up to 25min . ( while others were asked barely 2 questions from their SOP ...with a max interview duration of 4min)


5. I was asked several questions about my projecf work .....and when i explained the title and summary to them......they nullified it ...simply because it was not an oil and gas related project topic .....despite how best i tried to convince them ...that it was just an undergraduate project ..and must not be oil and gas related.

6. i was even given some tough and complex calculations to do (structural analysis of indeterminate structures.....and i was not even allowed to solve , i was told to produce the answer without solving ......which was practically impossible ......i told them the steps to solve it ....they nullified it...insisting i must produce the answer.


7. And one of them kept shouting "you dont even have any publication ".......( i didnt know when it became a compulsory for an undergraduate to have research publications)

8. And two others kept asking "what state are you from ".......


MY CONCLUSION : PTDF is dominated by the Northerners and they are BITTERLY BIASED .....they seems to appear harsh on some persons from a particular part of the country .

Using a WRITTEN APTITUDE TEST to assess everyone would have been fair to all the applicants and not this Biased method of interview where some are barely asked 1 simple question in PANEL (1) and some others will be bombarded with very rigorous questions that is outside the context of the interview ... This is one of the major reason why Nigeria is a failed state..........NEPOTISM AND TRIBALISM .....

relax bro. as some1 who has changed jobs alot and done alot of interviews, what i will tell you is sometimes evn the ones u feel cldnt hv bn better, end up with negative results. These men are professionals but also Nigerians as well so often times they abuse power but trust me, i've had interviews filled with smiles n laughter only not to hear bk frm them and i've some whr im like "Bleep it, those men r bastards" only to get a successful Mail so relax. Perhaps they just pushed you a bit too far to see your limits, i've experienced such, its bleeped but it is what it is. keep the faith
