You don't have to define me through Boko Haram, Al Qaeda or ISIS just because I am a Muslim. Like many millions innocent Muslims across the globe, I should not be held responsible for the stupid actions of few Muslims or those who pretend to the world to be Muslims whereas in their hearts is that of Kufar (unbelievers, evil doers). I can only held responsible for my own action, not theirs.

Muslims like Christians, Hindus, Baha'i, Sikhs, Buddhists etc have good and bad people. The bad few Muslims that go about shedding innocents blood give the haters of Islam the opportunity to haul damaging propaganda against the religion and it adherents. The propaganda only institutionalized another dimension of terrorism. Terrorizing peace loving Muslims just because Islam is their religion.

When Muslims are killed the media hardly mention the incidence but when adherents of other religion are killed by disgruntled Muslims the media take to their hypes, reporting and repeating the events every second.

I read today in the media that members of ISIS lined up some blindfolded Ethiopian Christians at the beach and shot them point blank. The atrocities of ISIS is meted not only to the Christians but every Muslim that do not tread their line of belief or are seen as suspect or threat. In fact, more Muslims have been displaced and killed by this group than any faithfuls. The way the Western media report the crime of Boko Haram, Al Qaeda, ISIS only helped in demonizing Islam and instigating hatred toward the Muslim population. This, to me, is a subtle terrorism against the Muslim world. This is unfair, absolute injustice. In fact, to be candid, this is man inhumanity to man.

Every religion have adherents that engage in terrorism. At every point on the globe live people that terrorize others. Therefore, terrorism should not be taken or seen as synonymous with Islam or Muslims. What do you call that of Myanmar where thousands of Rohingya Muslims were murdered and others were driven out of their ancestral homes by the dominant Buddhist population. Was Lord Buddha, the founder of the faith a terrorist. No, he wasn't. But today, the people that profess the faith are far different from the founder. The world hardly know that Rohingya Muslims were driven to the sea to drown by the Buddhists yet the world looked away. This is double standard, injustice and inhumanity. Have we forgotten so soon when Bosnia Muslims were slaughtered in their thousands by Serbian force in the presence of NATO force. What do you call that?

Islam never promote terrorism. Terrorism is not a religion thing but political. If terrorism is to be taken on the basis of religion then every religion is not free from it.

In conclusion, the media, whether print or electronic, especially the Western media should report every events as they actually happened. Investigative journalism should be embrace. Islam and Muslims are not the problem of human race, the problem are those who spread propaganda to discredit Muslims in order to hide their involvement in terrorism.
