Going for weight loss and strength training. I prefer strength workout so i guess weight loss will be slower....at least that's what they say. There's too much carbs around me so i'm trying to focus on quantity. This is day 5, my arms are stronger but i want to get back to doing up to 20 press ups so i'm on upper body training as extra workout. As for food, i can't eat what you eat, you're a guy and you workout at least 4 times more than i do.

I'm afraid I can't remember all their names, and for the eggs I only eat the white part maybe one or two yolks per day.

Hi, i can you help with this. for the next 2 weeks I want to replace 2 meals with soy powder + 1 heaped spoon of milk. Will it be more appropriate as a pre workout or post workout. I don't go to a gym but i intend to workout for 1 hr daily till i can increase it. I dont want to bulk up, i want to tone down and i cant buy whey protein so please don't suggest that. I'm a lady,i dont need bulky muscles just those lil sexy ones.
Also wanted to ask if you use pre workout drinks and where you get them

Your soy powder and milk are good for pre workout but why do you intend to substitute your meal with soy and milk? What's your goal beside the lil sexy muscles? do want to lose weight? or keep fit? because I don't buy your idea of skipping 2 meals.

You can check at Phc mall they have different types of pre workout drinks.

National Sports Festival (NSF) is hosted in Nigeria every two years, it is a national event that is organized to engross youths into sport enterprise and to direct their energies to the right track and for the betterment of the society. The previous one was held in Lagos State and that was the 18th NSF 'Eko Games' 2012.

However, after numerous trials upon trials each state opt for the best athletes that will make up their team and are therefore place on contract payment or employment whichever fits. Athletes are awarded individually according to the number of medal he/she wins.

For instance, in 18th NSF, Rivers State awarded its athletes the sum of #500,000 ($3,125) for each gold medal.
Nassarawa State awarded #750,000 ($4,687) each.
Delta State awarded #1,000,000 ($6,250) for each gold medal while other states awarded theirs according to their budgets.

This year November 20014 is the supposed year for the 19th NSF in the Cannan land of Calabar, Cross River State. Unfortunately, it has been deferred till April 2015.

I just want to use this medium to implore my fellow athletes not to give up on the government like I have done.
Indeed, I understand how difficult it is to accept this heartbroken news today after all the sacrifices you guys had made, the discipline you have taken so far for this course, moneys you have spent maintaining high form like me and how you directed all your energies on this particular goal that is been shifted till next year.

Hi guys,

I get asked all the time what is the best way is to develop a well-sculpted six pack and easy step to burn belly fat.
Firstly, I am going the talk about DIET in this page, maybe talk about the kind of workout you will need in the next page like I promised.
I have picked the 4 most important basic tips to get ripped Abs:

1. NUTRITION - It doesn't matter how hard you work in the gym if you don't control what goes into your mouth you will be like a religious man who is fasting without prayer.
Before anything goes into your mouth develop a habit of asking yourself what nutritional value that pizza, sharwama, ice cream, burger, biscuit etc will add to your body? You will realise that they are nothing but empty calories that increases your cholesterol level. I will advice you replace all those junk snacks/food with fresh fruits and vegetables.

2. STOP DRINKING CARBONATED DRINKS - Carbonated soft drinks or the so called minerals cause the stomach to bulge, which is a serious precondition for its distending. They also slow down the digestion, which is a second precondition for developing distended stomach, since the food stays in the stomach for a long period of time.

3. DECREASE CARBS IN THE EVENING - Carbohydrates are the main energy source for human body; we need them to have strength and to be active during the day, but their increased intake, especially late at night leads to deposition of fat mainly in the waist and hip area. When we take carbohydrates during the day, when we are awake and performing different physical activities, we have the chance to burn them, but when taking them in the evening before going to bed there is no way to burn them, since the metabolism is much slower while sleeping and extra carbohydrates turn into fat.

4. DO NOT EAT BIG MEALS - Big meals lead to distended stomach. In order to have good physique and silhouette you need not only defined Abs, but also flat stomach.

In order to avoid distended stomach the food intake must be in smaller meals, but in shorter periods of time. The small intake is digested fast and when you eat more often that leads to metabolism acceleration.

Trust these basic tips will go a long way for you as we journey together to live a healthy life.

One of the reasons I created this thread is to check on my personal development and keep a track on myself.
I am a young fellow with high aspirations, there are many things I want to do, become and achieve before I grow gray hairs.

I want to do commercials for brands, and also feature in Hollywood blockbuster movies.

I want to be the best fitness instructor and health consultant.

I want to write a bestselling book called "Random Life".
I want to donate at least a thousand bicycles to pupils in rural area to aid their means of transportation to school. However, I have out just 5 bikes so far ( hahaha the journey of a thousand mile begin with a step brethren).

I know how it feel to be abused physically, emotionally and mentally. Therefore, I want set up a campaign against child abuse, because of my selfless life and for the love I have for humanity, I want to adopt from all the countries in Africa as many as I can train (no exaggeration)

All night cycling
Drive at 300km/h either with a motorbike or a sport car.
Sky dive.
Scuba dive.

Zip lining
A day camp in a forest or on the mountain.

I rode from Lagos Nigeria to Abidjan, Ivory Coast in 5 days (ECOWAS CYCLING TOUR 2011).

39hrs dry fasting (The first time I saw my spirit leaving my body 2007).

520km interstate solo ride hither and yon with no pump, no extra tube, no patch, just me with my MTB, a loaf of bread and two hundred naira for water (I can't remember what came over me 2003).

All night skating (2006).

Trekked 40km (poverty 2006).

Survived 2 days without sleep (1000 ways to die 2005)
Studied for 13hrs without break (Migraine 2010).
Etc.
